Marie Makes Reviews

She knew exactly what I wanted and the cake looked perfect! The taste was great too and it was delivered straight to our door by the baker herself. I would definitely reccomend!

Marie, thank you so much for my husband’s 60th Birthday cake. He loved it & so did the rest of the family. It was so light & fresh. There was a lot of second slices going. I would highly recommend using Marie Makes. I will again for another big celebration. X

Marie responded to my initial enquiry promptly. I provided suggestions for my husband’s birthday cake (to serve 20, guitar themed, white icing, etc) and Marie provided some sample pics on a similar theme for me to choose from.

Marie delivered the cake on the agreed day and time.

The cake looked great. The sponge was light and the butter filling delicious.

I will definitely be contacting Marie to make our next celebration cake.

Found Marie easy to talk to, attentive and cake was delivered on time. Cake was exactly as requested and very delicious. Went down a treat with everyone.

Thank you Marie!

Beautiful cake, exactly what we wanted in such short notice, tasted amazing too - highly recommend

Highly recommended – personal service – amazing design and attention to detail. The cake itself was delicious – the sponge was light and fluffy and the icing was not too sweet.

Marie has been very helpful and her cakes are at a very reasonable price.
The cake I ordered was a Bistoff one and it's absolutely amazing.
Thank you very much Marie

Little update: Everyone absolutely loved this cake and I highly recommend it.
I'm already looking forward to ordering a cake for Christmas.
Thank you again Marie

Cake was fantastic and enjoyed by all, would use again.

Marie made a black forest gateau for my wife's 40th and it was delicious. Delivered to a family member as part of the plan, nothing was too much trouble, from transport arrangements to adding some extra dowels and a sturdy box, so it could travel another 140 miles by car with us... And survive.
I wouldn't hesitate to use 'Marie Makes' again or to recommend her locally!

Marie’s cakes were beautiful and delicious and she was so friendly and timely online. She even delivered the cakes to my door. Absolutely will be using again.

Excellent service.
Marie’s cakes are really thoughtful and delicious.
Definitely will order again.

I had an idea and Marie made it come to life exactly as I visioned - actually it was better! The cake itself was so moist, tasteful and went down a treat. Everyone got to take home seconds too which was brilliant. Communication was brilliant, pricing was very fair for the service and cake delivered. I won’t hesitate to reccomend this lady to everyone I know. Thanks so much :-)

Very professional, lovely and delicious cake. So good we ordered 3 within a month. Thank you Marie for making all the birthdays in our home special. Highly recommended.

Marie crafted an incredible cake, meticulously following every detail I requested. The flavors were exquisite! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to my friends and family.

Marie was so helpful from the very start! She knew exactly what I wanted and the finished product was even better than I imagined!!!!!
Will definitely be using again!
Plus Marie delivered it straight to my door on my daughter’s birthday!! Excellent all round!

Absolutely fantastic as always!!! This was our third birthday cake for our daughter from Marie and what can I say? Beautiful, tasty and I had one extremely happy 4 year old. She wanted a Frozen themed birthday cake this year and with her severe egg and dairy allergy she doesn’t get to enjoy birthday cakes very often. But Marie makes the best chocolate vegan cakes. Thank you so much as always for creating the most magical part of Daisy’s day!

Excellent cakes - tasted wonderful & looked amazing. Ordered cookies for a party and they were exactly as I’d asked for. Top quality! Great customer service too.

What can I say!!? A truly magnificent cake. It was lovely to see an idea brought to life and be even better than I imagined. Not only did it look the part but it was a beautifully made cake that was so delicious. Thank you so much for making my daughters 18th Birthday special.

Ordered a bespoke cake from Marie for a party. Absolutely loved it ❤️. Would highly recommend and will be calling on her skills in the future.
