i wanted to use Medal primarily for its clip recording functionality, which is actually relatively good and works well for capturing gameplay. However, my experience with their Quest reward system has completely ruined my attitude toward the company.
​I spent days trying to get a free in-game item reward. I met every single requirement—linked my account, launched through the app, and posted tagged clips to my profile. The quest tracking glitched out, and even after reaching out to customer support and having the quest manually updated on their end to say "Claimed," no reward key or code was ever delivered.
​It turns out the event/key pool likely expired on the developer's end, yet Medal continues to showcase these dead quests on the dashboard, letting users jump through hoops for rewards that don't exist anymore.
​The headache, misleading UI, and back-and-forth process just to end up empty-handed was a total waste of time. The quest feature feels deeply misleading and poorly integrated.

Upon my daily update and having to shut it down then relaunch as administrator per every time i wanna use the damn thing come to find the entire UI is changed. It's horribly ugly for once but also just not intuitive whatsoever, it's overly cluttered and i have to get right up to my monitor to even see anything. The worst part is that the "save as new clip" feature has been either removed entirely or moved somewhere where I cannot find it after 30 mins if trying to compile edited clips. Instead you have to boot them all in the editor and file them down with a ridiculously laggy, bugged out slider system. You can't see what youre doing, it leaves big black gaps in the video you have to manually delete, you cant scroll to anything longer than about 12 minutes or it bugs and you can only work with it in halves, and it's taking about 30-45 minutes to UPLOAD, let alone the other 30 it took to crop them and work around the bugs. Im not doing that again. The process used to take about 10 minutes overall between editing and rendering, now it's almost an hour. and god knows if it'll even complete or just crash, because here i am sitting for 45 minutes just waiting. idk who in their right mind thought this was a good change but if there arent any fixes im genuinely deleting this shit for the rest of time, it has given me nothing but staight trouble for years and im tired dude. the ease and efficiency no longer outweighs the sheer disorder and bugs this app has. not to mention itll periodically just spam me with the "medal would like to make changes". i get it once every time i open my computer, click yes, then occasionally itll just keep asking every 10-15sec until i say no. pmo

as of re-checking it seems it'll be over NOW, OVER TEN HOURS??? 10 hours before it completes rendering a 9 minute video. what the fvck medal

The Support is so amazing u had a little issue, the support team solved it within 10 minutes, would most definetly recommend

Everything about it is good although some games aren’t clipped but the support I got when I couldn’t log in at all was almost instant

Yes, I rated Medal 5 stars, and I will give my reasonings in just a moment. I feel that this app is unfairly getting hated on because of things that ultimately don't amount to a proper reason.

Why I'm rating it so highly, and speaking of it so highly to all my friends.. it's been a wonderful experience. I've created memories, seen pieces of my life slowly fall into place and make something beautiful in this app. And I've only been around for what, a year now? Yes, it's been a year. I've made my friends laugh, I go back to old clips when I feel sad.. and.. it gave me everything I could want. The ability to remember without worrying about forgetting.

The support team is very understanding, listens, and actually takes feedback and works on things, I haven't had this great of a support experience in AGES. I don't know what people are complaining about.

Sure, from time to time there are bugs, in fact, there may be some right now. But that's the thing, they improve, all the time, all you need to do is just let them know, they actually talk with the community, take feedback, and do things. In my opinion? They're as good as steam is. They're just at the very beginning of their development. That's all. Just give them some more time. They'll catch up. They're great.

Thank you Staff at Medal, for giving me what I wanted without making my PC or my storage cry.

P.S: You don't even need premium to enjoy Medal, I actually used to be free only, I only subscribed recently purely to support them.

so unreliable it basically never was active when I wanted to clip something, specifically if admin games were running because medal always thought that recording the desktop would be smarter

I love to have the ability to capture fun moments with friends and show them to others, and Medal makes that easy for me with custom keybinds and so on, only thing that is a bit time consuming is the confusion with freeing up space, still 5 stars though. Also the UI is easy to maneuver through and is somewhat detailed.

Medal is amazing for getting clips, the only thing I didn’t like was how my r6 clips were just a black screen, but I made a support ticket and they were very helpful and fast, it was a very easy fix too,I also like how they keep you with one support agent and don’t do random agents every message like other companies, it makes it a whole lot easier, medal is amazing

genuinely the best clipping software, easily UI, easy to edit, and it suggests players you recently played with aswell and check what clips you were in.

Medal is a great platform because it allows me to easily and effectively clip the highlights of my best moments in gaming. I would recommend it to anybody that would like a simple and easy clipping software to use for their games. I have had very little problems with the app and when I do the team's customer service is always supportive in trying to find solutions for resolving any issues.

Honestly? I did like using the app, but at some point, I didn't need it anymore, so I decided to uninstall it. Surprise: it's impossible. I tried to even find an uninstall button, it doesn't exist, and when I finally managed to uninstall it, guess who I found when looking through my PC's programs? Guess who sends me messages every single time I turn on my PC? I'm tired of it. I regret installing it in the first place.

The Technical Support is really great, i would really like to see that person again who helped me.

I had opened a ticket regarding an account restoration. The first agent I was assigned to was of no help. They asked for my IPv4 to verify the last log in of the account I tried to restore. Once they checked, said it didn’t match (I’ve moved from where my initial last log in was), and did not try to help me any further.

I opened a second ticket and this time was given such an amazing agent. Tim was his name! Over the course of several days he was able to help me restore my account!! He followed standard procedure (I’m assuming the same as the first agent). When I told him I was unable to provide that IPv4 address he came up with another way to help! He asked me to send my log on data from an account I was able to log into. There was no luck with that BUT he did say that both accounts shared a similar (same) device. He asked for my IPv4 once more to verify either account and it was successful!!! The password reset was sent and I was finally able to restore my account :3 I am so grateful to have an agent like Tim who is beyond dedicated, sweet, and overall a hard worker. (he deserves a raise!!)

Very fast and nice support<3 They helped in less than 2 days.. but for example discord? Its 7 months almost and I got 0 help only 4 rejected tickets without being able to get my account back. Medal support is the best! 5 stars<3

it does exactly what you think it does. Though, it has a subscription to improve the quality, and fps for your clips. It's automatically locked at 1080p and 60 fps

clips moments automatically and if i dont like them its easy to remove

this app is so dogshit its unsavable, no changes can make it somewhat decent nor usable. just delete this

The best quick game clipping software I have ever seen.
The ads are not that bad, people just don't like seeing them. I don't mind because this is a FREE software that we're running to store TONS of HIGH QUALITY videos.
It's amazing, and I hope to get premium in the future.
