Mega Music Reviews 

As a church we have been using Mega Music for a number of years. The staff are always helpful and can be trusted to follow up on enquiries when asked to do so. Their prices are competitive and for us the location makes up for any slight difference in price compared o other stores.
Their website, however, is on of the slowest music store websites i have come across for general browsing of products.

Been using MegaMusic for years, called into the Wangara store today to buy a couple of Guitar leads and basic gig bags. (ended up spending just under $1000 on extra gear)
Issue is i was quoted $39 each for the bags as i just wanted cheapies, was supplied the generic $34 shop bag and charged $55 for the Extreme bag.
Only a $32 rip off but not the point. No way was it a mistake
Lesson learnt, check receipts before leaving the store.

I’m going to get something off my chest that has been eating away at me for over a year. I bought a behringer poly d from Mega Music. Before purchasing I had called mega to make sure they really did have it on stock (we all know that just because it’s listed on their website it isn’t a given). They said it was so I went down on my lunch break. When I got there they pulled out a dusty old unit that said had been floor stock, no cables no box, no manual no nothing. I complained as you might expect but the dismissive floor manager said take it or leave it, so I decided to leave it. As I was walking out he said he’d discount it by a few dollars. I had my heart set on it and I’d come all that way so I went ahead. It wasn’t until I got home that I realized that the key bed of the synth was very second hand. Many of the keys were slightly but very definitely permanently depressed, I realized the unit had been heavily used and was very second hand. It worked but it wasn’t worth the 1000 I’d paid for it.

I know this review will reach a few hundred people and I hope mega music read it and do better.

This is why brick music shops are going under at an alarming rate. They care only that they get rid of the stock and nothing about the condition of the equipment or the customer experience.

Great choice and service

Great experience with Mega Music Myaree. Settled in on a Taylor Koa there with very good price.
There are lots and lots of options to choose from and everyone is resourceful and goes way beyond to help with whatever you need.
Definitely the place to go to for guitars, you won't be disappointed.

I messed up an online order, Sale staff were quick to resolve issue, also managed to sort a long lead time item that was on backorder, I have placed several orders and all of them were simple and the Pick up process from Wangara store was seamless. To the sales staff and instore staff many Thanks.

The day before pick up I received an email to say everything will be ready to pick up.....It wasn't.
So on the day there was a bit of running around trying to find stuff.
After a short drive to pick up the balance of the order, which wasn't there. We were told maybe a month before it arrives. ( not happy now). So we head for home 85k's away.
As we pull in for fuel, the phone rings and lo and behold it's the shop saying we can furnish you with the remainder of the order. Obviously someone realised that these things were sitting around on the shop floor and it would be more beneficial to have a happy customer than dusty boxes. (And I thank them for that).

Yes it was a bit of a stuff around with moments of anxiety, but give credit where it is due. The staff on the day were apologetic, and helpful. A little thinking on their feet turned a potential disaster into a happy customer day. Albiet a longer day than we had planned for.
