Issue resolved quickly and efficiently
When there was an issue with my delivery, it was resolved very quickly. My box went missing, but another box was sent the following day, along with a voucher in my account to apologise for the inconvenience. Thank you Mindful Chef!

The introductory offer grabbed my attention. I was surprisingly shocked at the quality and taste. I would say it’s restaurant quality. There is a good selection for vegetarians every week. The meals are from bag to plate in as little as 20 minutes. No mess, no waste. No more beans on toast for me after a busy day 😂

Meals are tasty and very filling with good quality products.only thing to improve on would be dates on meat/fish need to last seven days sometimes out on same day.

No longer a quality choice
I first started using Mindful Chef during lockdown. For obvious reasons we weren't spending money on eating out, and so I decided to use the money saved to try something different.
MC has never been a cheap option, but in those days we enjoyed the healthy, fresh ingredients and having meals that tasted great while being nutritionally balanced.
But of course, Nestle made the founders an offer they couldn't refuse. Particularly since that happened, the quality has deteriorated, less fresh vegetables and more tinned products, ingredients are no longer organic, vegetables and herbs often seem to arrive far from fresh at best, and in a state of decay at worst. Protein items have much shorter shelf life left, so if I buy, let's say 4 meals to cook over a period of 5-6 days, by the time I reach the last recipes I have found some ingredients unusable.
On at least three occasions I have ordered fresh soups as extras and they have arrived with one of the containers split, making that soup unusable and soaking the box and contents.
At the same time, prices have climbed, resulting in a meal for two on average costing £18-20, on to which must be added the use of your own energy supply to cook, and time and effort to prepare.
Disappointing, but I suppose it's what you get when a large multinational company takes over what was once an inspired concept, prioritising cutting costs to the bone for profit and losing sight of what I would imagine to be the requirements of the original target market.

MIndful Chef has lost its mindfulness
We've been using Mindful Chef for a few months. As someone who's pescatarian and gluten intolerant, it was a big plus that Mindful Chef has gluten free dishes as standard. None of their competitors offer this. But, as the months have gone by, we've become frustrated by MIndful Chef's use of rather tasteless pastes and sauces in pouches and mediocre spice mixes. Recipes have also become rather samey, with the same ingredients cropping up time and time again. I know it's difficult to innovate, but I do think that Mindful Chef has lost its mindfulness in becoming part of the Nestle empire. Do the 'chefs' even try their dishes? It's pointless offering feedback as it just gets ignored by the conglomerate.

First time buyer..Now a BIG fan
First time buyer... OMG, Deeeeliscious, nutritious. Meals for two are BIG, can easily feed 3 or 4 in my household. Great for freezing after cooking for little meee. SOoooo easy peasey lime garnish squeezy. Lots of fun to be had and what a very nice break to not have to think about 'How about something stunning" instead of the usual, also nutritious, but becomes meh repeats of good home cooking! This is HOME cooking with a flair. 'specially for those of us who really can't be bothered to go to a restaurant with all the hub-bub whilst you are trying to savour the flavour. LOVE Mindful chef...and the best part, they give back - they feed the needy.

Although we love getting our recipe…
Although we love getting our recipe box, lately it seems that nearly all the choices are fish, or very spicy, which I don’t eat. Not many without the chilli symbol, so I am finding it hard in recent weeks to pick anything so have been skipping weeks. Don’t understand why one of the filters isn’t “no fish “

Amazing flavours
The meals are fantastic, such wonderful flavours and excellent quality of ingredients. The app lets you easily filter for dietary preferences and each menu has a heat indicator and an indication of the expected time to cook. You aren't tied into having boxes at fixed intervals and can easily postpone, cancel, or add in a box.
What makes Mindful Chef stand out is the response when there is a problem (I've been a customer for over 7 years, of course there's the rare issue). Reporting an issue is a doddle, the resolution comes back very quickly, usually a refund of a missing ingredient or the cost of the food bag. What makes it special is the human contact - the people talking to you have a personal approach, no AI chats, and you genuinely feel that they want to do their best to help.

Wonderful meals, friendly company
The food is delicious, the customer service is excellent and the deliveries are always on time. I'm so impressed with Mindful Chef. I've tried many of the "food delivery boxes" on the market. Mindful Chef are a cut above in terms of the produce and recipes and they also offer a service for a single person. I recently contacted the customer service team about a query and they dealt with my message in a timely and friendly manner. All round - I'm a very happy customer.
