Very poor response to scooter…
Very poor response to scooter reliability issues, even though I paid £2795 for a smarti plus scooter and it is still under warranty. They basically do not employ sufficient engineers to respond to the multitude of problems that go wrong with the scooters. The arm fell off my scooter over 2 weeks ago, and I've had problems with the arms before. I am still waiting for a freelance engineer to attend, but he's having to attend to other jobs all over Wales. A friend managed to re-attach the arms, but it is obvious that the bolt needs replacing. I've made 3 phone calls and spoke to the engineer, without success. I am a disabled person, working full time in the NHS, and I rely on my scooter to get to work! I previously had a smarti scooter from Monarch. I would advise anybody not to buy a smarti plus. The smarti is a superior model, is better made, and cheaper. When I bought the smarti plus I thought it would be an upgrade, but how wrong I was. Monarch could have asked me if I have used their products before and advised me that I would be better simply replacing the smarti! The smarti plus is 6cm taller, according to the manufacturer this isn't compatible with my car. Monarch managed to adapt the hoist, but it has damaged my car, and I have had to go back to the mobility company to re-adjust the hoist! I feel the disabled are constantly taken advantage of, paying a lot of money for poor services! Shame on them!
No Show
I have 24/7 recovery insurance with Mark Baits and yesterday my mobility scooter broke down. As it was a Sunday Mark Baits office's was closed and I could not find the emergancy phone number anywhere online. The search engine kept taking me to Monarch Mobility phone number so I called them. I was told they can help and I gave all my information, where I was, phone number etc. I was told a breakdown recovery company would call me. That was yesterday and I am still waiting. When the bank holiday is over with I will follow what happened up.

Lack of service from Monarch…
I purchased a Monarch Smarti mobility scooter and twice requested an engineer to check out the opening and closing mechanism. I waited a week for a call from the engineer to call and had to get it checked by another supplier. The second time I waited ten days during this time confined to my house! I went to another engineer and it took five minutes to diagnose and fix the problem. Incidentally Monarchs website quotes six months warrantee. Monarchs telephone service operator assured me their warrantee was for a year. I said the warrantee was worthless if you don't receive service. I said not to worry as I certainly would not be buying anther scooter from Monarch!

I purchased a genie £1,995 after it arrived, i decided to purchase a front basket. i looked at monarch for the basket and i found that they had one that i liked it was £75.00 but i knew it would be ok as it said that the basket would fit the genie among others. the basket arrived in about 3 days. But there was no bracket to attach the basket. I called monarch and explained there was no bracket. I was told that they will send one out to me. it arrived within 4 days. But it wasn't the right bracket, the one they sent was for a round tiller. when i told the lady this she said they don't make brackets for the new genie, so i might as well send it back. I don't understand why a company would make scooters and not make accessories as they make more money. but the help i have had from monarch over the past few weeks has been zero. So i wouldn't go to them again. Once bitten. It's a shame that they seem to forget most of their customers are disabled, and they don't seem to care, they don't do much to help.
Monach smarty scooter very poor and disappointing. It is not comfortable and mine went…
It is not comfortable and mine went wrong with screws coming out days after having it , they came to fix it but it needed servicing before the end of the year as the wireless folding with key fob did not work. I would not mind but it is NOT that light so unless I have some one to help me to get it in and out I was not able to use it as I hoped so it had not been used that often. Now 19 months on it will not open with the key fob and makes a high pitched bleep , once I’ve opened it manually , turned off the key fob and waited a few minutes it finally stops . I phoned Monach and told them the trouble I had with my scooter and all they said there is a £95 pound call out fee. Thanks Monach for you useless help. As far as I’m concerned it is not fit for purpose. I wish I kept my old scooter at least I could use that one and get it in and out of the car. Very disappointed with scooter and customer care which there is non.

I can recommend the Monarch vogue xl I bought from this company, they have been very helpful, Chris was most helpful on the phone with all my questions then Martin brought 2 scooters for me to look at and I purchased the vogue that day. He was very helpful and friendly, so far the scooter seems a good one 😇 I do have a bit of scooter anxiety after Being ripped off from another company but thankfully I did a 9 mile round trip yesterday no problem at all, all good so far👍 thank you monarch mobility
Purchased a battery charger
Purchased a battery charger, within hours wanted to add a cover for my scooter to the order. Very rude person called, unwilling to add the cover to the order, wants a further £7.00 postage, even though the delivery is quoted as 7 to 10 days so it cent have left yet, so rude I put the phone down, will report to PayPal.. what a terrible attitude to a potential customer!

Monarch Mobility chose to cancel the scheduled collection in preference to providing a purchase receipt giving proof of ownership in the event it disappeared into the ether! This scooter has never been used and therefore remains in the condition it was in on delivery. Your reputation will not be enhanced by your responses and questionable and irregular business practices. I hope HMRC read this review!

I ordered a monarch moji lit scooter and was told it will be delivered on Wednesday (I ordered in Monday) I said I don't want it until Friday and was arranged for that day. It turned up on time and what a pleasure it was on opening the box. Charged it up tried it out perfect. Then realised my home charging unit wasn't sent I phoned monarch that day at 4pm and dealt with Andy the salesman again he apologies a said he will get it sent out to me come Monday morning it arrived by special delivery what a great supplier of mobility goods monarch are and would recommend to all who are on a budget to buy mobilty goods 5* from me and thank you Andy. I bought 2 mobility scooters from this company, when buying the scooter they are most helpful until you try to get some help from them, I phoned a week ago about the flimsy straps on the batteries which keep snapped and cannot get them out the scooter without prizing them with a knife which is dangerous if one dies on you when crossing a road, this company needs to update its after service and get better stronger batteries straps and stop ignoring the customer phones calls, and I still waiting for a callback after a week, would not recommend them or there products.

Very poor service
I bought the eazi fold pro wheelchair on the first of June this year and had problems from the start. The first time I went to use the chair the right tyre was flat so had to call the company. The technician came to the house and was supposed to have fixed the problem but by now I had lost confidence in the chair. I finally plucked up the courage to try it again on the 30th June to go to a medical appointment and guess what the right tyre was soft but I went on my journey. To say it was dangerous is an understatement. I was continuously being pulled right into fences, into the road, onto verges and was in danger of being run over. I had to continue to use it as I cannot walk. When I contacted the company they were very unhelpful and decided it was a puncture. They were supposed to ring me back with a decision of what they were going to do but there was no contact. I tried to ring and talk to someone who would tell me a decision but low and behold there is no one available as they are off and not back until Tuesday. The female in customer services was most unhelpful and abrupt and I feel totally let down by this company. I am now £2000 down and no usable mode of transport. Please think very carefully before you use this company as if you are disabled like me you may find you are stuck at home with no way of getting out.
Update to my review answer from the company. I haven’t failed to mention anything in my review. Firstly I have not had a puncture in the right tyre at any time since I purchased the chair. When the engineer called to repair the chair the first time he told us there was no puncture and the tyre had been wrongly fitted but he changed the inner tube anyway. It has been in the shed since then until I went to use it again and low and behold the tyre was flat again. How can it get a puncture when it hasn’t been used?
Next update. The technician came out to repair my wheelchair tyre yet again and told me for the second time that it’s NOT A PUNCTURE but something wrong with the valve or inner tube. He put a new tube/valve in the tyre and made sure both tyres were pumped up to the same pressure. He did admit that he doesn’t understand what is wrong as he doesn’t have experience with this chair because it’s a new model. Well guess what’s happened again the right tyre is going flat again! I have not used it at all and it is still in the same place that he put it. I now have no confidence in this wheelchair and dare not use it in case It breaks down while I am out. I desperately need a wheelchair that works as I have a severe disability which restricts my ability to walk. This chair is definitely not fit for purpose. I have never had A PUNCTURE in this chair!
Update about this white elephant of a wheelchair. In the end I had to pay another independent wheelchair engineer to come and fix my tyre problem. He also said it did not have a PUNCTURE and he struggled to find the reason for the tyre going down. It starts going flat as soon as the monarch engineer leaves and is unable to be used again. So far the measures taken by the independent engineer seem to have fixed the problem for now and of course I had to pay for this repair bearing in mind I paid £2000 for this chair on the 1st of June this year. I finally decided to pluck up the courage to use it today for a hospital appointment using hospital transport. There I was sat in the ambulance on my wheelchair when lo and behold I couldn’t use the chair as it doesn’t have any anchor points so I had to get off the ambulance. I am so frustrated as I told the Monarch agent that I wanted the chair for going to hospital appointments. I feel totally let down by Monarch and I am now stuck with a useless wheelchair and a big hole in my little amount of savings. All I can say is buyer beware if you use this company.

Stopped dead in middle of road
Stopped dead in middle of road. Fell off. Reported to Monarch and asked why the instructions to not tell the customer that this can happen when the battery is flat. I was simply told "I should use my common sense".
Problem with scooter after a service
I purchased a smarti in 2018. I had nothing but problems with the scooter and after being without a scooter for nearly a month, i was given a new one. Nothing has gone wrong with the new one until I contacted monarch for a general maintenance check. Nothing was wrong with it but I thought it could do with a service, arrangement was made and an engineer came around and serviced it. The first time I went out on the scooter after the service, it was making a terrible noise and pulling back when I tried to ride it, Called monarch mobility and advised that the scooter had nothing wrong with it until the engineer serviced it. They said someone will call be back to discuss it. I received a call from someone telling me they were coming to My home. I was expecting someone to call me back to discuss matters not attend my home. The man came around saying a part needed to be changed. I told him there was nothing wrong with the scooter until the man serviced it, this was totally dismissed. They then came back saying it is gonna cost over 200.00 to fix. I argued the fact that there was nothing wrong with the scooter until they serviced it again this was dismissed. I told them I do not have the money to fix it. He then said they will be charging me a call out fee of 75.00. I did not call them out, I called customer service who said someone will call me back to discuss. Then this man called to say he was coming over.. DO NOT TRUST THEM. I BELIEVE THEY TAMPERED WITH MY SCOOTER SO THEY CAN REPAIR IT AND MAKE MONEY. They also said I can not get it repaired anywhere else. This is also another scam to get you not to go elsewhere. They are robbing us vulnerable People knowing that we need the scooters and making Easy money from us.
