Worst experience of my life

As an autistic person this experience was difficult I wasn’t expecting to be verbally attacked for complaining about faults with my vehicle

I like consistency and routine which anyone who has deal with autism knows

I was eating porridge and the staff made fun of me for eating porridge causing me to be very uncomfortable and distressed and I was constantly asking to speak to a manager which they refused

Even on cctv the women at the desk stood you being visually aggressive waving arms and telling me to sit down or leave they don’t care
Worst experience of my life
The after care service team are rude aggressive and make up false allegations.

I was sold a vehicle with proven faults and major dangerous faults

The windscreen wipers are faulty and the service team said they was fine
So I stood in front of a manager and poured water all over the screen and the wipers did not work

4 wheel drive system does not work along with other faults

Made to wait 3 hours for my inspection when was told it would be 1 hour

Repeatedly told me to leave and don’t care about a vehicle rejection

I’ve never been verbally attacked by 3 females for making a complaint.

Made up allegations to get me off site so they don’t have to deal with the vehicle issues and they 100% dudes not offer to check the faults after I demonstrated them not working

Dangerous liars who sell faulty vehicles stay well clear!

Hello Kirk,

We take all customer feedback seriously; however, we must respond factually to a number of the allegations made in this review.

Firstly, we have a duty of care towards our employees and will not tolerate abusive, threatening, or aggressive behaviour directed at members of our team.

On the day of your visit, it was explained that whilst vehicles are booked in from 8am, diagnostics are carried out in line with workshop availability and do not necessarily begin immediately at 8am. We accept this could have been communicated more clearly and this was acknowledged to you at the time by our Service Centre Manager, who then personally took over your case in an effort to resolve matters professionally.

Following an internal review and CCTV assessment, it was evident that the situation became confrontational. During the interaction, inappropriate and deeply offensive comments were directed towards members of staff, including mocking a staff member’s weight and telling a member of our team that she “should die.” This behaviour is completely unacceptable under any circumstances and caused significant distress to our employees.

In addition, after being asked to leave the premises, you positioned your vehicle in a way that blocked the entrance and exit to our site and refused to move it, causing disruption to the business and other customers.

In relation to the vehicle, diagnostics were completed and repairs discussed with you. Whilst further checks were offered regarding the rain sensor wipers, the wipers were functioning during inspection and were not deemed a dangerous fault at that time.

We want to make it clear that we are always willing to help customers and will do our very best to resolve vehicle issues as efficiently and professionally as possible. However, we cannot do so at the expense of the wellbeing of our staff. Providing a safe and respectful working environment for our employees will always take priority, and no member of our team should be subjected to abuse whilst carrying out their role.

We appreciate that vehicle issues can be frustrating; however, respectful communication must be maintained at all times. Should any future interactions involve abusive or threatening behaviour towards our staff, we will have no hesitation in refusing service and contacting the police to remove individuals from our premises if necessary.

I would highly recommend motor range to any one . Everyone was so helpful and very professional. Big shout out to ryan tattersall that made my experience even better , was very helpful, professional and went well on above and beyond to make sure buying my new car was simple and easy to purchase. So happy so thank you everyone at motor range 😁

Bought a car in February this year…

Bought a car in February this year after a week asked them to look at the car as the petrol consumption seemed quite high. I was asked to leave the car with them overnight and a mechanic would drive it home to test it. He reported that he had driven the car home and achieved 44 mpg and driving back achieved 50mpg over a distance of 64 miles I told them this was unrealistic but assured it was correct I was then asked to test it myself by filling the tank full and recording the mileage, the best I could achieve on motor way and city driving was 36 mpg this is also recorded in the cars own onboard computer contacted MR but was told as far as they were concerned they had tested the car so no further action was needed on there part saying it was possibly the way I drove the car. They then suggested I book it in to a VW garage for a diagnostic check at my own expense and if they found any issues they would review the situation ps the car had done 29000 miles when I bought it from them,I was also told a full service had been completed this consisted of an oil and filter change and vehicle check, this has to be by far the worse experience I have ever had when buying a car and I’ve been buying cars for over fifty years. Wouldn’t buy a push bike from this company .

Hello Colin, thank you for leaving a review. I am sorry to read you are disappointed.

Our service manager and advisors have spent time trying to assist and support you with your concerns regarding fuel consumption.

Following your complaint, we arranged for the vehicle to be inspected and road tested on two separate authorised occasions to ensure there were no faults, fuel leaks, or mechanical issues present. No faults were found during these investigations. You also acknowledged that there was no fuel leak.

Fuel economy can vary significantly depending on driving style, traffic conditions, journey types, weather, and driving environment. Manufacturer advertised MPG figures are achieved under controlled testing conditions and are rarely replicated exactly in everyday real-world driving.

Despite there being no fault identified with the vehicle, we still suggested that if you wished to pursue further investigation, a Volkswagen main dealer diagnostic inspection could be carried out. We made it clear that if Volkswagen identified a genuine mechanical fault, we would be happy to review their findings. However, if, as expected, no fault was found, diagnostic costs would remain your responsibility.

While we appreciate you are unhappy with the fuel consumption you are personally achieving, there is simply no repair or “fix” possible where no fault exists. We have acted reasonably, professionally, and transparently throughout the process.

We are a family run, independent business and genuinely want our customers to feel satisfied with their purchase.
