Excellent service from Riz good communication with salesman

Adam was great getting car sorted and answered questions we had, he also could of got price cheaper if had finance done with them but was first time doing finance, would recommend to any looking for next car.

Aftersales is very poor. We brought a car in April 2025 a Tesla sold by Jason. We had issues with the car ever since, they said they would fix it as a "goodwill gesture". Didn't give any invoice or paperwork to show they did work on the car. We had taken out an extended warranty with yourself (autoguard platinum). We rang them and they said it is not covered which left us with a hefty bill on the car. When the salesman describes the warranty, he doesnt go through it in detail on what is covered. His response is "everything". Would not go here again. Apoorling.

We found that Tesla found the fault for the car's software not updating and were going to charge us £2000. We got it fixed from them. Initally, Jason arranged the car to be taken to somewhere in a workshop and they said they fixed it. There was no paperwork given just a promise.

Staff friendly and knowledgeable especially Adam who dealt with me, the wife and kids.

We purchased a car from Motor Trust Bury on 27th February, and what followed has been one of the most frustrating, unprofessional and disrespectful experiences we have ever had with any business.

The finance was completed and the funds were transferred to them promptly. After taking our money, we received absolutely no confirmation, no courtesy call, and no update whatsoever. We were forced to chase them ourselves just to find out what was going on with a car we had already paid for.

Every single interaction with their staff has been unpleasant. The advisers are consistently rude, dismissive, and speak to customers as if they are a nuisance rather than people who have just spent thousands of pounds with them.

Our sale was supposedly handled by Chris, although trying to actually speak to him felt like chasing a ghost. Every time we called, we were told he was either “off sick” or “on holiday.” Weeks passed with us repeatedly calling just to get a basic update or to arrange collection.

Eventually, after relentless chasing, we were told there was a fault with the indicator bulb and that a part had been ordered. We were assured the vehicle would be ready within a week. A week later we called again only to be met by yet another incredibly rude and aggressive staff member who acted as though we were inconveniencing them simply by asking about a car we had already paid for.

After repeatedly asking, we were finally put through to the mysterious Chris. If the rest of the staff were rude, Chris took it to another level entirely. Instead of offering a clear explanation or apology, he casually informed us that the car now has another fault and that they “don’t know what it is.” No details. No timeframe. No reassurance. Just pure incompetence and a complete lack of professionalism.

At that point, after weeks of delays, excuses and terrible communication, we asked to cancel the sale. Chris responded by shouting down the phone, becoming aggressive and confrontational, before abruptly hanging up.

Let that sink in: a dealership took thousands of pounds from us, failed to provide the vehicle, admitted it has multiple faults, could not tell us when it would be fixed, and when we reasonably asked to cancel the sale, their representative shouted at us and hung up the phone.

This is not just poor customer service — it is utterly disgraceful behaviour from a company that clearly has no respect for its customers once the money has cleared.

We have been left without the car we paid for, without any clear answers, and treated with nothing but rudeness and hostility every step of the way.

If you are considering buying a car from Motor Trust Bury, do yourself a favour and look elsewhere. Based on our experience, once they have your money, professionalism, communication and basic respect go straight out the window.

Absolutely shocking.

The salesmen are nice and friendly until the sale is done and if you have any issues after purchase they are extremely rude, especially to women!

I purchased a car from Aidan, on the same day of purchase the engine management light come on. I took it back to the garage and was told it was all ok. Before I’d even got home the light had come back on again. It took another two visits to the garage before it was resolved at my inconvenience.

I have since had further issues, been lied to and spoken to rudely by Aidan and another man. I complained to Andy the manager which was a total waste of time. No apology from anyone at MotorTrust for the poor service and rudeness of staff.
They should remove the ‘trust’ part of MotorTrust.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!
Bought a 20 plate Peugeot 2008, engine management light came on, in first 24 hours of owning it. Took it back and they didn't seem to happy that we took it back to them instead of an independent garage. It got sorted and we got it back after 48 hours.

A few weeks later, the vehicle broke down and had to be towed back to the garage by the RAC as was not safe to drive. It has now been with them for 4 weeks with us having to chase them constantly to see what is happening. NOBODY gets back to you!! Have emailed a complaint, that hasn't been acknowledged at all. On their website it states you will have a response in 3 days! We are still without a working, safe car and still no response!! I would avoid at all costs!!

I first saw my new car listed on CarGurus, and shortly after, Rizwan from Motor Trust UK got in touch. As a first-time buyer, I really appreciated how calm and understanding he was. He took the time to walk me through the entire process step by step, answered all my questions clearly, and regularly checked in with me even outside of office hours to make sure I felt comfortable and informed.
When it came to collection, I arrived later than planned on a weekend, past their usual closing time. Despite this (and the heavy rain!), Rizwan stayed patient and professional throughout. He gave me plenty of time for a thorough test drive and carefully explained everything I needed to know about the car and the paperwork.
Overall, it was a genuinely smooth and stress-free experience from start to finish. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Motor Trust UK especially if you’re buying your first car.

Spoke to Adam over the phone; really polite and arranged an appointment same day. I came to view the car and test drive. Really patient and explained the steps. The car was valeted, MOT’d and ready within 3 days, for me to drive away.

The service I received from Rozy, was 1st Class. Rozy went way above what was asked of his role and took responsibility for delivering my new car to me personally on his day off. This was due to events out of his control which had resulted in a delay in my car being delivered. Rozy interrupted his day off with his family to rectify the situation. Now that is what I call excellent customer service. Oh and the car is brilliant too.
