Working with Taylor has been an awesome experience and I highly recommend his lessons. He is highly engaging and has a very approachable attitude. Any question I’ve had, he has been available to answer me quickly. His building blocks are challenging but they build in each other and you can see yourself improve.

Taylor is by far the best online guitar and music theory instructor I have used. He has the perfect demeanor for all levels of experience, from beginner to experienced players. His patience when going over basic principles or theory makes even more experienced players want to listen and go back and work on them. He encourages group interaction and tries his best to answer all questions posed during a lesson without detracting from the limited instructional time we have. He also encourages us all to try new techniques even if they are out of our comfort zone. As a result, I have had more progress on my guitar journey than I ever expected. Taylor is available online and keeps up with the FB page by interjecting when needed to clarify either a technique or theory question posed to the group. He has always promptly answered any question I had via email and I can tell he really cares how we are doing and wants to help in whatever way he can. He Rocks!

Taylor really breaks down the basics of guitar and makes it very understandable to the beginner and then keeps building it up as you move on and advance. Very clear instructions.

Taylor is an awesome instructor. He is clear, patient, and always positive in his approach. I have taken lessons, online courses, and tried on my own to learn guitar and his program is the first that keeps me engaged and enthusiastic!

I love the way Taylor lays out the training and it's at your own pace. I have a very busy life so I don't get to practice as much as I'd like but with Taylor's training program and Saturday classes I feel like I am not left behind. Great instructor and perfect classes.

Taylor really breaks the whole process down with learning from a VERY basic standpoint and working your way through the various guitar playing techniques (Strumming, picking, barre chords, etc.).
He provides a lot of resources to the student and really helps you along the way with your learning.

I am an older man who struggled for years to learn the guitar. Using Taylor’s method I have finally made real progress. It is rewarding and fun.

I like how Taylor teaches. It clear and concise, he's not just teaching chords and strum patterns, but how guitar works when you read sheet music, which i find easier, than beat count's and strum patterns. Also with his website it allows you to move along at your own pace, and/or back up if needed.

I like his chord change fundamentals, and hadn't incorporated a metronome before starting but I see the benefit, and it works.

I would recommend Taylor if someone I knew was looking for a teacher.

MusicMatchr has been a wonderful experience in my guitar learning journey. Taylor at MusicMatchr is always responsive to questions and very articulate in explanation of music theory and “how to’s” for chord progressions. His explanations are also are able to make learning how to play guitar a very enjoyable experience. I have been attempting to play guitar on and off for approximately 20 years. Prior to enrolling Guitar Building Blocks, my practice habits were not focused and lacked discipline. Since enrolling in Guitar Building Blocks, I have found that my practice routine has structure, and by practicing the same way each day, I have seen improvement in my performance. My finger dexterity has definitely improved due to the Muscle Memory exercises. In addition, my chord base has expanded and strumming improved. I'm definitely glad I enrolled in the program.

I've only been with The Building Blocks for four months. I've learned more with this program . I have had my guitar for 30 years and can play more on it now than ever. Taylor is a great instructor and explains what you need to know to get started playing that guitar.

The instructions are very clear. I appreciate the process of changing chords although I am still struggling with the required speed in order to keep up with the beat. Overall I believe the program will help me get better.

MusicMatchr Guitar building blocks is well done! Taylor Barnett has put together a set of lessons that work for beginners like me but can also help guitarists with experience reach a new level.

I can honestly say Taylor's Guitar Building Blocks program has transformed my approach to learning how to play the guitar and I made more progress after a few weeks of following it than I did using any of the popular online programs like Fenderplay. The structure and layout is great with videos explaining what you are trying to achieve and why its important to follow the tempo on the jamtracks and build the all important muscle memory. Taylor has a very sound way of explaining the theory in simple terms, and doesn't cloud your head with too much jargon and as a beginner that's great to understand and work on the basics. I have just recently completed the course but I will be going back over it time and again to pick up new chords, strumming patterns etc and learn them in the same way. I haven't yet attended the live group coaching classes, but I hope to build up the confidence to do these soon. Also, there is an incentive bonus of a new guitar once you complete the course, which is great and I'm looking forward to receiving mine soon.
All in all, I can honestly recommend this course to anyone struggling to learn the guitar, it's a sound investment.

The Guitar Building Blocks program is well worth the money. The instructor Taylor has structured the modules in a logical way and my guitar playing definitely took a huge step forward. Easy to understand instruction and whenever I had a question Taylor would promptly respond to my emails. Once you sign up for this MusicMatchr program you are given lifetime membership which includes live weekly Internet jam sessions hosted by the instructor and accessible anytime after the live session.

I appreciate the update made to adjust the jam track BPM in small steps rather than big jumps from 60 to 75 and 90. As a new guitarist, it's improved my strumming ability to slowly increase the tempo. I appreciate that Taylor really listens to his students and makes changes that support our learning.
