I have tried multiple online guitar lessons and have always ended up frustrated. Taylor’s course is awesome as it seems much more personal. For a beginner (like me) the lessons are easy to comprehend and don’t feel as overwhelming as some of the others I have tried. I am admittedly one whose focus moves in and out (meaning I don’t practice as much as I should) but even when I have gone a long stretch without hitting the site, it’s easy to jump back into where I left off. I definitely recommend this program as I have seen noticeable improvements in my playing!

Helpful & thorough even though I haven’t completed yet

I tried the Open Chord Transitions program first to see how it was without investing too much. It was great! I quickly enrolled in the complete program and I'm loving it.

It's not that there are "secrets" that no other guitarist knows. Instead it is a structured and focused approach where each step build off the previous one and leads naturally to the next. I guess that's why its called Guitar Building Blocks.

The approach: Here's a lesson... here is how to practice it... here is a practice track that is slow enough to keep up with the chord transition, or strumming pattern, or arpeggio picking. Once you have that down, you move on to a faster pace. Soon your fingers are moving without having to think about it.

I've tried other online guitar learning programs and this one is head and shoulders above the others.

Musicmatchr is a great program for me. It has given me the structure and focus to greatly improve my guitar playing. Work smarter, not harder. Taylor is great at breaking things down so it's easier to see what I need to work on . Really enjoying the process.

I love the jam tracks the Saturday classes and the unlimited access to the building blocks and how fast tyler answers your questions. and the friendships between the students .

Taylor has a simple system for getting the 7 basic building blocks down through muscle memory, it's all laid out for you. He is a good teacher, very patient, always polite, and he always takes the time to answer questions. His Saturday group classes are a lot of fun. An excellent option for beginners!

After I’ve tried many ways to learn guitar, I’ve found MusicMatchr and realized how easy was learning guitar .Taylor’s ( instructor) help is very efficient and motivating !!!! It dedicates his time to his students setting up free weekly remote lessons to always keep you motivated and wanting to succeed, teaching you always new things that along with the building block program makes your journey easier in the guitar learning, and in a fun way !!!!

Taylor Dean Barnett is an excellent instructor and his weekly live lessons are priceless. The Building Blocks program is well structured and if you put in the practice you will get results.

I signed up for the Guitar Building Blocks course after 3 or 4 times trying to learn guitar over the last 25 years and giving up. I would always start with going straight to trying to learn a song and giving up after struggling for a few weeks. After signing up for this program I realized I was struggling so much because I didn't know the techniques of how to actually play. This program teaches you all of the techniques you need to know in a way that works great for me. Now that I know the techniques and how to actually practice to improve them, I am doing much better learning songs. Plus, you get a live group lesson every Saturday to learn more and ask any questions you have. I highly recommend this course.

I've been taken Taylors class for a while, I like the slow pace of the class and materials, I like the fact he plugs in music theory with the teaching of songs it makes more sense that way, for me being a older student it takes me a little longer to grasp. no pressure to learn right away.

Taylor's material, videos, and jam sessions teach me a lot and really challenge me to learn. The content has helped me development muscle memory for chords. Plus, the Sat jam sessions are wonderful. I really get a lot of learning out of them. While some of the content may be beyond my skill level, Taylor is patient and teaches in a way that I learn things I never imagined I would be learning at this stage of my guitar experience.

I highly recommend Taylor and his program to anyone wanting to play guitar. The platform is put together very well and easy to follow. Taylor is a great coach, teaches to every level and wants you to succeed. I am 51 years old and couldn’t play a note, now I’m playing 15 chords, finger picking, strumming and actually learning some basic songs. I’m only 5 months in and really enjoy taking my time and learning with Taylor and MusicMatchr. There are many practice backing tracks and learning videos so you always have something to practice. Lastly, there are live learning sessions on Sat that you can join and learn even more, not to mention all the recorded sessions you can go back to. I absolutely love this program and am having so much fun playing the guitar.

I retired 13 years ago and a goal of mine was to learn guitar. I wish I had come across Guitar Building Blocks back then. I tried, off and on, several online courses but gave up in frustration. Taylor’s muscle memory routine is so easy to follow and build upon that I’ve already, in 6 weeks, accomplished more than in the previous 13 years. Seriously! I’d recommend Guitar Building Blocks to any and everyone.

I am a beginner with the guitar. MusicMatchr is a easy program to use and follow. I have tried two other systems, but got the best results from MusicMatchr. I would suggest this program to anyone trying to learn guitar

I have been taking lessons from Taylor for close to 3 years now using the MusicMatchr site and I have had nothing but positive and beneficial results. Taylor is an excellent teacher, very patient, knowledgeable, and professional. The MusicMatchr site used to be a little cumbersome and hard to navigate, but since the recent changes, the site is way easier to navigate and very elegantly laid out. Since my time taking instruction from Taylor, my guitar playing has improved in leaps and bounds, a perfect example of a successful program.

As a first timer to guitar and any instrument, musicmatchr has been brilliant for me. The slow and consistent approach to building my muscle memory really does work. Taylor and the team give personal and timely responses to any queries and no question feels too dumb. Being able to catch up on recorded weekly group classes to do them at a time that suits me is great. I couldn’t be happier with this excellent value program, which feels personal and really does build success and confidence. Thank you!!
