Taylor is a great instructor. I played guitar ~40 years ago, and wanted to restart so I could play with my 8 yoa grand daughter who has started to play. With Taylor's help, I have been able to relearn songs I used to play. His building blocks have also been great for improving my dexterity and improv skills.

I especially appreciate Taylor's patience and attention to detail. He is dealing with all levels and yet he is able to gear his weekly class so that everyone feels included and learns something. He tries to answer all questions that come across on the screen.

There are so many choices of classes to take online. I feel that I made the right one.

Very easy to navigate and I love that it tracks your progress as you move through the lessons. It is also encouraging that it keeps track of the time spent practicing so I can reach goals. Taylor has done an outstanding job with the program and the website to make learning guitar more structured and entertaining.

I really enjoyed this program. It was easy to follow and has helped me improve tremendously. It’s not just a bunch of videos, you get the weekly live classes and lifetime access to the site. I feel like it was money well spent. I couldn’t have learned this much Gigi g to traditional lessons for anywhere near this amount of money.

I needed to pick up a guitar again but need a push in the right direction. I saw Taylor’s advert on Facebook and went for it. I saw immediate results and muscle memory is definitely the way to go. Excellent clear videos from an expert and friendly tutor

I was a guitar newbie with no background in music. I tried in person classes for a month or two but they were expensive and progress was painfully slow. After trolling the web for a course and being overwhelmed by the various options and endless YouTube videos, I chose the Guitar Building Blocks program after a call with Taylor. I am so glad I did! The program is very well structured and the weekly live classes are great, whether you do them live or watch the recorded version. You could do this course in 7 weeks but I took my time. I was very thorough plus I wanted to focus on learning songs and some of the theoretical skills in the weekly class. Absolutely no regrets. This course really started me off on the right foot. Highly recommended!

This is an amazing guitar course. You will be inspired and motivated to learn and or improve your skills. If you are just beginning or have been a “beginner” many times like myself you will find you can finally start progressing and enjoy your guitar. Taylor is so supportive of your learning journey, your goals are his goals.

I have enjoyed this experience so far. I like Taylor's Instruction technique and style and I have made more progress in my guitar learning than any other course that I have taken.

I subscribed to Musicmatchr after trying to learn guitar basics from books. The advertisement for the program described my situation exactly. I was stuck in a repetitive cycle and was bored with where I was.

I tried one module from the program to see how it would work for me. I was astonished at how much information I learned and with what I was able to accomplish. Shortly thereafter, I subscribed for several more modules.

Taylor presents the material in an easy to understand manner while explaining why it's necessary to use these building blocks. The modules are easy to navigate and the ability to back track is welcomed.

I work with the program each day for an hour or so and I'm making steady progress. I will highly recommend this program for any one at any age ( I am soon to be 68).

I am a late in life student and I stumbled into Taylor’s program by luck and decided to give it a try. I found the program easy to follow and it has certainly helped me realize this is something I can do.

I am an older student, who had been taking lessons for 7 years. I had no musical background except singing and dancing and could not read music. My instructor moved and I decided to try something different. I love all the options, different kinds of lessons, the fact that I can get questions answered during class, can re do lessons, have visual lessons,have options. I have seen so much progress and the actual development of self confidence. I will never be great but I love playing and it makes me happy. Finally! A program that makes gets me playing.

I started learning guitar in November using a popular "learning guitar" app. After a few months I felt like i was not retaining the info and I was just going to thru the program. I wasn't growing as a player.

What a blast! I have had a guitar sitting in my house for years that I never used and could maybe play 4 chords after watching YouTube videos with no success.

As I said a few days back, I fell I’m about 5 levels above where I was before!
Prior to this course, I was an open chord, campfire singer and guitar player, that played by ear,…couldn’t read music,…and didn’t know a thing about music theory. I didn’t know what concert tuning even was!
Now I know quite a bit of theory, …no expert but I know how to figure out notes and chords up and down the neck, compose a scale….bar chords I thought would be difficult but I took to it and discovered a lot of short cuts on all the main shapes, so I can play them up and down the neck, AND know what they are. I’m actually looking for new songs on UG that have a few bar chords mixed in, so I can practice switching back and forth between open and bar chords!
Anyway, you get the picture, it’s been a wonderful experience and made guitar a lot more enjoyable for me!
I’m starting at the beginning again and work through it all again, and spend more time playing with the jam tracks!
I’m rudimentary at some things like chord picking, finger picking and power chords but I know if I work through the modules again, and focus on the jam tracks…I’ll improve in all areas!
Not too bad for an old guy with arthritis in his hands! Lol

I came across Guitar Building Blocks on Instagram approximately 7 months after picking up a guitar for the first time. I had hit a wall and felt I wasn't progressing, I had no structured practice and wasn't sure what I should be practising. Taylor's course changed all that. It gave me a clear roadmap of the fundamental skills I needed to learn and a structured practice routine to keep me on track. I thoroughly enjoyed working my way through the modules and 4 months after starting the course, I am very pleased at the progress I have made. My chord changes have become smooth and quick, loved the power chord module and learning barre chords. I would recommend Guitar Building Blocks to anyone who has started to learn guitar and wants to take their playing to the next level. Taylor answers any questions and is always happy to help.

I am a mature aged person who decided to pick up the guitar after 40 years in the wilderness and after looking at a number of options decided to sign up for Taylor's Building blocks course.
I have found it has helped me immensely. I really only wanted to strum some songs to basic chords but here I am not only able to play along, but also picking chords, doing basic 12 bar blues, some basic lead guitar and even rock chords. Who would have thought. I can also read, and understand the tablature.
I thoroughly recommend the course as Taylor explains it in simple terms and the jam tracks assist in reinforcing the practice.
The one downside, and even this is beyond Taylors' remit, is that my singing has not improved over the years, but I will continue nevertheless.

For most if the first half of my life I was a musician. I played trumpet from the time I was nine until an accident in my mid thirties.
I missed music terribly but, for some reason, I just never tried to pick it up again until the end of 2020.

I was reeling from the death of my fiance from Covid and decided to take up the piano.

After a few months I decided I would give the guitar a try. I spent quite a bit of time looking at YouTube videos but, nothing really clicked for me.

When I found Taylor's program and his trial offer, I gave it a shot. Shortly after, I was learning scales, learning chords, and actually playing music, improvising to backing tracks and a few months ago I even recorded and published my very first song playing the guitar.

I highly recommend Taylor's program for guitar players of all levels.

Guitar Building Blocks offers a simplified, effective and time efficient way to learn the basic skills needed to play guitar. I've enjoyed the lessons and practice and would recommend the program to other people just starting out with guitar. I've also been impressed by the effort Taylor goes to to answer questions. Most of the material is recorded but there is a real person behind it to help you out.

I'm so happy that I started the Guitar Building Blocks Program, it's easy to follow and Taylor is a great instructor giving many helpful hints throughout the course, the way Taylor has structured the 7 parts around muscle memory has helped me immensely, would recommend the course to anyone.
