I think MusicMatchr is the best. I find Taylor to be a very knowledgeable, encouraging and patient instructor. He seriously wants you to learn and will help you work through every problem you have.
I was uncertain about the online lessons because I have seen quite a few that were not helpful, but Guitar Building Blocks is great for me. It is done in the same unrushed manner that Taylor uses in private lessons.
I began lessons in my late 60's to keep my mind sharp and to help with arthritis in my hands and it has been very beneficial for me in both areas. Old dogs can learn new tricks with the right teacher.

Taylor has been the best instructor imaginable for our son, William. He is patient, kind and enthusiastic and tailors lessons to accommodate each student and their own pace. He has been very encouraging and William loves his guitar lessons. He says they are his favorite after-school activity. The online lessons and jam-along tracks have made practicing fun, and I can see William's confidence growing as he learns new skills. Taylor is great!

Taylor is an outstanding instructor. He was very patient with me and really moved me through the learning process. In the year and half we have been working together, I have seen him work with beginners through advanced student and highly recommend his training.

Taylor Barnett and MusicMatchr are simply phenomenal. I'd attempted to learn the guitar at least three other times in my life: twice with instructors and then once by myself before I found Taylor. I could mostly read music and tab but could not put it all together into anything resembling actual guitar playing. The first day I met Taylor, he asked me what I wanted to learn, assessed my level, and then I was literally playing my first song that day. Taylor knows how to tailor (no pun intended!) his teaching method for you; he's incredibly patient and kind; he's incredibly talented; he's never once made me feel silly or untalented. He also guides me in my own learning too with ideas and things I should work on next. With the MusicMatchr site, Taylor has been putting out supplemental instructional videos and exercises that I call my "homework" and has been extremely helpful as I have a variety of things to work on during practice every day. After three years, I can play several songs (a couple I've even taught myself) and am now learning some music theory and can jam a bit with other friendly guitarists. That's something no other instructor got me to the point of doing. To say the least, this experience with Taylor has been transformative in my journey to learning the guitar.

We have been using MusicMatchr for guitar lessons for over 2 years and love it! Our guitar instructor is friendly, knowledgeable and great with kids (my son was 8 when we started). He has introduced my son to many great bands from before his time, in addition to having current music ready for him to learn to play. Our experience has always been positive and I would recommend MusicMatchr to anyone wanting lessons.

I am writing this review to share my fantastic experience! My son started lessons with Taylor over 6 months ago. He has become so comfortable and confident with the skills he has learned. Our instructor Taylor is so kind and patient. It really makes learning easy and fun for my son. Everything about MusicMatchr is awesome. From making and changing appointments. Any song my son wants to learn, Taylor knows it. He plays along with him and the music they play together makes my waiting so enjoyable. Very comfortable waiting area. Very cozy. Thanks Taylor for an amazing experience. We will continue lessons for as long as you will have us. Keep up the awesome work!!!!

Would highly recommend Taylor as a guitar teacher for anyone, from curious beginner to advanced and wanting to breakthrough. You'll not only learn the instrument, but also learn to really understand the instrument. Taylor’s teaching style is positive, encouraging and one that is also conducive to each student learning at a pace that best suits their abilities and needs. The time you’ll invest is fun (I look forward to each lesson!)

If you’re looking for an instructor, look no further, give Taylor a call....Seriously don’t overthink it, just call him, you’ll be glad you did!

My son has really enjoyed taking guitar lessons from Taylor. Even with no prior experience with the guitar, he learned a song after his first 30 minute lesson. In only about four months he’s learned basic chords and starting to learn bar chords and picking. I’m amazed with his progress. About once a week he learns a new song. Taylor is excellent in figuring out right then the best way to teach any song he request. Working with him has built his confidence. I’m glad he looks forward to his lessons.

This has been the greatest experience for my 15 year old son. In less than 6 months of lessons, my son is now playing in advanced guitar at school, performing in concerts, and has boosted his confidence and self esteem! Prices are very reasonable and the instructor is very patient and attentive to him. My son gets excited with every class and this has given him a new found passion.

Taylor was excellent. My guitar skills and music knowledge has improved greatly with Taylor’s guidance. I recommend Taylor to anyone trying to get better at the guitar, no matter the skill level.

Taylor Barnett is generous with his time and his level of patience. What more could anyone want in an instructor?

For me, music has always been my hobby. I've collected over 3,500 records and around 3,000 CDs, all of which have been reduced to digital format. Regrettably, I never learned to play an instrument in order to play along with all of my favorite songs.

At an advanced age and not in good health, Taylor has taken me on to work tirelessly to turn me into a "rock god". It's very slow going due to my health which doesn't allow me to practice much. But, I know Taylor will persevere and allow me to go to my grave knowing that I will be able to sit in with Robert Johnson and all of the great guitarists when my time comes. (Unless, of course, Johnson really did sell his soul to the Devil. Who knows? I still might be sitting in with him one day.)

Taylor's latest updates to his MusicMatchr website make it the best available online. And, yes, I have seen almost all of them. If you live in or plan to visit the Las Vegas area, set up an in-person lesson or lessons. You can't go wrong.
