I paid for my service online ahead of time, thankfully. When I dropped my car off at Victoria Point, I specifically asked for an estimate to fix the air conditioner.
Later, when I returned to collect my vehicle, I was blindsided with an extra $220 charge for an aircon quote.

When I questioned this, I was told they had to “call out the aircon man.” Really? I dropped the car off at 8:30am and received a call with the quote at 8:40am, my phone log confirms it. So where exactly was this aircon specialist called from in that ten-minute window?

The man at the desk clearly saw I wasn’t buying the story and brought in the manager, who then removed the charge. I made it clear, I may be a woman, but I’m not stupid. I chose Mycar thinking it would be a safe, professional experience, not a place where I’d be taken advantage of.

By contrast, Rapid Tune Capalaba treated me with respect, didn’t overcharge, and even washed the outside of my car. I only went local at Victoria Point because I live nearby, but the misogynistic undertone I experienced there was enough to ensure I won’t be returning.

I phoned to get 2 new tyres fitted to my trailer. I got a lunchtime appointment scheduled the following day. I dropped the 2 x tyres off with the MyCar crew who had the job done in less than hour whilst I did some shopping in Vic Point shopping Centre. Pretty happy that we get 30day tyre satisfaction guarantee (can swap out if not happy), free puncture repair, 50,000km mileage guarantee. Dave and the Team at Victoria Point MyCar always provide excellent service & value for money.

I had a split in my front tyre so I had 2 new ones on front.. A couple of days later when I went shopping I opened the boot there was the tyre with the split in it.
It was not even Put in the well thank goodness.
When I took the car back they put a tyre on the rim.
I don’t know if the tyre they put on was my old one or not.
