The recipes are delicious.

Came back to My Food Bag after a break and there are a few things that concern me. Firstly, the online booking system isn't user friendly and isn't clear when you are placing the order. Next is the lack of a reminder when your next booking is due. I was getting fortnightly deliveries and had a reminder of what I was missing for the week in between deliveries but no reminder when the next booking was required. Hence you have to contend with a delivery that you haven't chosen and do not want. The other thing is that not all of the meals I have received have been very nice. I had a very dry chicken curry dish recently. Any communication with the Company is met with no consideration so consequently, I have
cancelled my subscription and won't be returning.

Would put minus 1 star if I could no compassion or empathy and the customer service sucks

No I ain’t calling you lot are a scam and will be out of business soon. Iv talked to many people who have had the same issues you lot are a disgrace!! Can’t wait for the day you are no longer scamming people and in business until then I’ll be warning everyone NOT to use you guys and to look at all the reviews of the same bullying tactics you use!!!

Looks like a good deal but just a NZ scam, Just looked around the site that I havn't used since 2016 and now Ive got box arriving with food that I dont like the look of that I havn't paid for, and now you say I must pay for it otherwise debt collection will be involved. Dont tell me to call or email your "company"as I have done both and you just dont care! I suggested that you have a text alert the night before you "lock In" your orders to stop people being ripped off and also have the cancellation easier to find. You send no e-mails or contact to let people know that by them looking around your website they are now on a subscription with you. You say you're the Customer love team, but you really dont care and just want the money made by your shoddy website.

Always fresh ingredients and new menus, giving us a great variety of cuisines which we wouldn’t normally try. Delivery is fast and meals always delicious

We love having convenient and nutritious meals available in the freezer for those nights when we arrive home tired and hungry. Winter wellness at its best.

Quality of food is first class. Have enjoyed the recipes, quick and easy. Joined Food Bag because of the diet options low card and diabetic. As a pre diabetic this has helped immensely. Lovely to have a wide range of recipes available.

Used my food bag for the first time. Forgot to cancel. So rung up. Couldn't afford to pay for next weeks meal and they are sending it anyway. Said I don't want it amd am very sorry but not use to ordering on line. Said I have to pay for it. Was 225. Gave me 20 percent off. That's still lots of money when I don't have it. Said my mortage won't go out. She said. Just try to grab your money when you can. Nothing they can do. Two weeks grace. How?? So I'm never using again. So stressful

We love My Food Bag!
The convenience, ease of preparation, ease of cooking and all measurements of condiments supplied accordingly.
It isn’t exactly the cheapest option for meals but there is no food wastage which is a bonus. Tasty, nutritious and such wonderful flavours. It’s open our palette to some fantastic dishes

In the past we have absolutely loved ‘My Food Bag’ as it meant we didn’t have to think about what to cook and we had all the ingredients for quick, easy and low-cal meals. However, over the last eight months we have had our meals turn up between one and a half to two hours late, the coolie bags are water and meats are warm, so we’ve had to throw them out. The worst of all of this is that we’ve been customers since 2020 and all we were offered in compensation was $20 off - pretty pathetic, given that each meal costs us more like $40.

Have been having a great experience with Bargain Box, love the different meal options each week and the price is great value for a family of 4! Food is of high quality and recipes are quick and easy to follow! Highly recommend for someone looking for a break from planning meals each week.

Plastic packaging, over sweetened, bland unimaginative meals, and dishonest business model - I tried it ONCE and they're billing me for the 2nd week I didn't want!!!

Be very careful ordering anything from website .
I ordered a deal pack and had enough money to pay for it on card . They then charged me more and it declined and are saying I can’t cancel order and they will be sending it . I would have thought if payment wasn’t taken out they would cancel order .I have emailed spoken on phone and they do NOT care less . Also if you tried ordering something online and your card declined they definitely would not send it .

Extremely disappointed with My Food Bag’s lack of empathy and rigid approach. A genuine mistake resulted in two charges of $159 in the same week—an unexpected $318—which is a shock, especially in these difficult economic times. Despite explaining the situation clearly and requesting escalation, I received a cold, dismissive response.

Honestly worth every dollar! The ingredients are always so fresh and well packaged. I have not had one meal I’ve not liked so far and it’s so convenient and helps with the overwhelm over choosing what to make for dinner. I have got all my housemates onboard with it as well.

I was simply browsing your website and did not complete any purchase or enter my credit card details. To my surprise, I then received an order that I did not knowingly confirm. Following this, I’ve received messages indicating that I owe money and may be referred to a debt collection agency .
This is totally unethical.

Bargin box makes life so much easier! I get it for 4days for myself and two kids and with how hectic life is i know that most nights i can come home, make dinner with a recipe+all the ingredients are there! We definitely dont waste as much food anymore because everything is planned without the brain power of planning! The meals have been delicious too theres a great variety and the add ons are great too!

Be careful when unsubscribing…
You can’t cancel the order once’s it’s been automatically “confirmed” even if they have not even sent the order out. They will send it anyway and still expect you to pay.

Also when ordering make sure you choose your meals a week in advance because then they give you the meals that are least chosen.

The meals are quite small and wouldn’t feed a true adult kiwi that’s why they are “affordable”.

I'm very happy with the choices offered with my Fresh Start. I was a customer sometime ago and stopped my subscription as I was unhappy with how my orders were packed. Pleased this has now improved. As a household of one, sometimes I receive far more vegetables that I need but this morning, after receiving this week's order, I am about to make soup with the excess - a win. The ready made meals are very useful for those nights when you just can't be bothered.
