Very pleased with the results
Very pleased with the results. I have been having issues with my Great Dane having diarrhea. After testing her sensitivities and removing those from her diet, I’m happy to report she hasn’t had it since. I wish I would have done this sooner.

Asked an AI to sanity-check it and the whole thing fell apart
I bought this for Milo, my two-year-old miniature poodle, and sent off the hair sample. The report that came back looks the part, 45 pages, nicely designed, everything colour-coded into high, moderate and no reactivity. That is honestly the best thing I can say about it.
There were over 40 foods in the high reactivity list, so I uploaded the PDF to Claude Opus 4.8 hoping it would help me turn it into a shopping list. Instead it came back with a list of contradictions, and once you've seen them you can't unsee them.
"Beef" is high reactivity. "Beef – dried" is fine. "Anchovy Meal" is high, plain "anchovy" is fine. "Egg yolk – chicken" is high, but chicken, chicken liver, chicken fat and egg white are all clear. Vitamin E is listed as something Milo is deficient in and, a few pages later, as something he reacts to.
Then the bit that actually bothered me. The report says your pet can eat anything from the no reactivity list. On Milo's list: xylitol, raisins, grapes, macadamia nuts, garlic. Every one of those is toxic to dogs. Xylitol can kill one.
I've since read that this type of hair testing has been properly studied, a 2019 paper in the Journal of Small Animal Practice sent in fake fur cut from an animal costume and got full results back.
Should have just booked the vet. Lesson learned.

my dog peggy was itching all the time vets not so good sent hair sample away/ got results given me ideas what problems are i did find results difficult at first to understand but more i read came clearer

Don’t bother
Considering I only received one of my dogs test results back this rating should be expected. Also how can on be sensitive to boar but not bacon? It seems quite confusing and not to accurate. I’m angry I wasted the money and wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

We'll also take the opportunity to explain the difference between boar and bacon. Although they may seem similar, they are tested as separate items because bacon is a processed product that undergoes curing and other processing, which can alter its overall composition compared with boar meat.

i took away all stong and moderate sensitivies and my dog seems to be scratching less. have to give the dog food more time to know for sure. i knew this was not a true allergy test, but it showed me a lot about Asher's sensitivies
