North Cork Electrical Ltd Reviews

North Cork Electrical Ltd installed 19 panels (E/W roof) and a Sigenergy system with 2 x 8 kW batteries over the last two days. Really happy with their work and how it all turned out. Now all that’s missing is some sun.
Unfortunately, they forgot to bring a crimp tool, so for now, the inverter is connected to Wi-Fi only. Ethernet was connected a month later.

After 4 days, I noticed the panels weren’t producing any power. I contacted the installer, and they came out the next day. It seems the fireman switch might have been off, even though all the breakers were on. Not entirely sure, but the issue was resolved the same day.

Unfortunately, one of the batteries failed at the beginning of January. Took until end of February to get it sorted.

I noticed one of the screws securing the inverter to the wall has snapped. The screw looks quite small—I’d have expected proper bolts for something like this. Was only replaced with screws again.

Following recent installation of a 6 kw solar panel system c/w 5 kw battery, I would be happy to recommend North Cork Electrical (NCE) for all your solar requirements.
- No issues all the way through the process

I had a PV System + hybrid inverter installed by NCE before Christmas '24. I'd say I had burned the ears off Richie with questions about the system etc before I moved ahead with it, but he always made time to discuss and answer my questions. The roofing guys were excellent when they landed as were the electricians when they commissioned the system.
I couldn't say enough about NCE - would happily recommend to anyone!

Very professional from initial quote through
to installation and after service. They are really a well oiled machine with operation they run. One of the few at moment carrying 500 watt panels too

Thank to NCE for recent installation of Solar panels and battery pack. Great service and no problems. Process was quick and very professional.

Hi all. Just to let ye know we had a solar system installed recently in our community centre in Milford CoCork by North Cork Electrical. We were very impressed by the salesman roofers and electricians on site their standard of workmanship. Being from an electrical background myself the installation is very well done and performing excellent. Highly recommended. Thanks

After much research and talking with various suppliers, we decided to go with Richard and his team and NCE. From the get go, the quality of their solar PV proposal, communication and information was miles ahead of the rest. Topped with the rapid installation and lead time only 5 days and a very competitive price on the system we purchased I could not fault the teams. They showed up when promised and left the house in the same condition as they found it.

I would highly recommend Richard and his teams for your electrical and solar requirements.

Great company to deal with. Very competitive price but customer service was also first class.
Everything was installed within 2 weeks of placing the deposit.
Richard was always available to answer the various questions I had.
Highly recommend for anyone interested in having solar pv panels installed.

From beginning to end our engagement with North Cork Electrical was exceptional.

Our first contact was with Richard who talked us through and the various options.

Within 10 days of paying the deposit Connor and his team of roofers were on site and did a neat and tidy job of installing the panels.

A couple of days later the electricians, Ivan and Yurii did their magic and we were up and running. Both teams were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable.
Special thanks to Claire who arranged
all the scheduling, BER and NC6 paperwork. Communication was first class.

I have no hesitation in recommending North Cork Electrical for your solar installation.

I recently had a solar system installed by NCE, and I couldn't be happier. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly from start to finish. Not only did an excellent job with the installation but went the extra mile by helping fix old roof tiles, pointing out issues, and even cleaning the years of moss off my roof.

Choosing NCE was a great decision. I got a larger system at a lower price than other companies offered. The crew was respectful, on time, and patiently answered all my questions. I Highly recommend NCE for anyone considering solar!

To be fair from the initial quote through to the final commissioning I found North Cork Electrical easy to deal with. Their crews were efficient and polite. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

From start to finish , dealing with NCE was a very pleasant one. The workers on site were polite and vey tidy. The solar panels work great for us. I would recommend NCE

When I began to consider getting a solar system I had contacted nine solar panel installation companies, but only one of them came back with an appropriate solution at a price that made sense. This was North Cork electrical. From my first contact with James I got the vibe that I was dealing with a company who put their attention to the delivery of a quality product to suit the needs of their client. The design engineer took on board my questions and prepared six different options for different sized systems, with and without batteries. The options were clearly presented using the Opensolar app. The performance estimates looked realistic. When I decided to book, the process was straightforward, the method of payment and contract was fair. Grant applications and the BER were taken care of. The installation crews were friendly and efficient. When I initially had a technical teething problem it was sorted remotely and promptly. Overall, dealing with the company was a good experience and one month in the system is working as I anticipated.

A very efficient company to deal with, friendly and helpful
