I'm disabled. I'm given medical equipment to help my disability.
I was prescribed a pressure reliving mattress a month ago. NRS can't provide I'm left chasing an update. Left in unbelievable pain and should I develop a pressure sore ill end up In hospital. NRS don't care.
I can not stop these people from messaging me, I do not know how they got my number. There is a feedback option on the message but the software prevents a poor review from being given by blanking out the feedback box if the review is not positive. This cannot be legal.
This company is staggeringly hopeless and inefficient. I assume they survive because the NHS pays them huge sums but the end user/patient suffers from the complete incompetence.
They not only caused huge anxiety by failing to deliver a hospital bed to my dying mother and making it look at one point as if she would be on the floor (we had had to dispose of her bed)
Now she has died, they seem completely unable to either answer the phone (average wait over 40 minutes) or to pick up their (the NHSs) equipment.
I have a two hour slot and was promised one hour’s notice so I could get to the now empty flat. No communication since 0711 this morning. No one messages or just picks up the phone.
And NRS is paid a fortune to not deliver this service.
How much longer, oh Lord, how long?
Shambles of a company. Promise a delivery within a slot, don't arrive. So you wait 40 mins on hold and find it's out of stock. Promised first thing delivery next day, again, no arrival. 50 mins on hold, then cut off. Try again. Next day delivery. Again, no arrival.
After I was let down a week ago.
Two new men called at 9 30.and arrived before there time of 10 am.I had cleared space as I had a stair lift,
They managed to get the arms off.but could not take back off.they still managed to get it out.no damage
Very polite helpful wish they were all like that.the men who two weeks ago tried to get it out.broke my stair lift.pleased.
Tried to send a bath seat back but they didn’t bother showing up or contacting me. Seems pretty prolific of them judging by other comments…
Tried to give it another go as our OT said this is our only option. Tonight their bath seat collapsed and tipped with my disabled child sat on it! He banged his head. I had to take his full weight grabbing him to which I’m now in a lot of pain with my back, added to an already bad back & wrist injury due to lifting as OT can’t find a solution!!! Absolutely disgraceful! I’ve put in a formal complaint.
Had endless issues trying to get a bed delivered for a terminally ill relative, when NRS eventually showed up each time they had a new excuse as to why they wouldn’t set up the bed. Now the person has died we’re facing the same issues for collection. Several times they’ve not showed up, today we had to take another day off work and travel to the property of the deceased to be there for the allocated slot of 9-11am. It’s now almost 7pm and still no show…AGAIN! Everyone impacted by this disgraceful company who display zero compassion or empathy to the terminally ill and bereaved should raise official complaints to the NHS, I’ll also be writing to my MP and the media - this can’t go on.
My Father passed away recently and I have several items for collection. It was impossible to schedule a collection. Had to email and call several times. Was finally told it had been booked in for today (Feb 15) with a window of 8AM-8PM. Called in the morning to see if they could give me a more specific window and was told 10:40-12:40. No one had arrived by 3PM so I called several times before anyone picked up. I was told "I'm sorry but no one is coming today, they were meant to come in the morning but..." WHAT A JOKE. I took a day off work and waited home all day for a no-show pickup. Dreadful company. No doubt they are charging the NHS for my non-existent pickup. SHAMEFUL
This company is utter crap. I had the misfortune to use them a couple of years ago. Their staff (drivers) have the worst customer care I have ever come across, they are rude, arrogant and have no compassion. My husband was at home dying and desperately needed a hospital bed, because of their disorganisation the bed arrived late, I was promised a call 1 hr beforehand so as to make arrangements but never got one. When the driver arrived he said he would not hang around as it would take him over his working time. I had to beg and physically throw myself in front of his van to get the bed, it was the only way as he was not prepared to help me. I have never been so distressed in all my life. My darling husband died 2 days later. I did put in a complaint but it was ignored. The reason I am writing this review now is because I have seen one of their vans with the logo 'we put people first' what a bloody joke ! NHS please wake up and investigate this company, they are a disgrace and do not represent the NHS in a good way !
Cleared my mother in laws bedroom to make way for her new medica bed . Being 91 and having dementia it was quite an upheaval for her moving room but it was only going to be a few hours , no hardship .
A call came at 13.30 after being told we were going to be the first on the delivery list . Sorry but it wasn't going to be delivered today . I explained the situation and was told to wait I would receive a call to see if could be delivered due to the circumstances. STILL WAITING for bed or call , it's now 18.30. Isn't it time that we stopped companies who contract for the NHS taking the p### out of it !
District nurses persuaded my husband to try the reclining and ejector seat chair. It looks like a big bear. He took one look at it and refused to sit in it, so I rang NRS to return it. I hung on for 1 hour and 5 minutes with 'thank you for your patience, we will connect you with the next available agent as soon as possible.' droning in my ear.
This company is a JOKE - telling users their delivery is on the van and giving a two hour window then nothing for hours every excuse under the sun given even that they tried to knock and no-one was home - low blow for a terminally ill person and their carer! Old bed thrown away in the meantime which you knew about then someone arrived at midnight and says “oh I can’t deliver it, this is a two man job because of the stairs” which they were fully made aware of - then my father passes away and again given a collection date but no time so we call to be told “we have nothing on the system for today maybe Friday someone can collect” then a few hours later someone arrives ALONE and says “I can’t take it I’m on my own” how can a family grieve with an empty bed in the house for almost a week…shame on you!
Absolutely disgraceful service. Failed to supply the requested (by OT) hoist on 3 different occasion even though they booked a delivery date and confirmed it will be delivered, because they actually did not have it in stock. When booked to have the broken hoist collected they did not show up 3 times and instead have the job as completed even though they did not bother to show up. They also ask you to rate their service and when you do so negatively it will not allow you to leave negative rating but will do so if the review is positive only.
Terrible service and no LOCAL AUTHORITY should be using them for ANYTHING!!!
Terrible service 2 grumpy guys turned up tried to blame my wife for the damaged bed ! When she showed them the plastic clips on the bed are broken they said nothing, supplied the wrong size mattress and tried to call my wife stupid!! Unprofessional clueless so called technicians that's a joke, but then what do expect on the wages they earn , terrible company .
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! NEVER RELY ON THEM! COUNCILS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF USING THEM, AND ALL RESPONSIBLE SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE! - SIMPLY ORDERED A BATH BOARD IN DEC 2023, AND DESPITE TEXTS SAYING "YOUR ORDER WILL BE WITH TODAY" & "WE'RE A FEW STOPS AWAY, GARVEY YOUR DRIVER IS DROPPING OFF YOUR ORDER NEXT", I AM STILL WAITING HERE ON THE 17TH JAN 2024!! BLOODY DISGRACE TREATING PEOPLE LIVING WITH A DISABILITY LIKE THIS! CONTACT & COMPLAIN TO: 1) YOUR MP, 2) LOCAL TRADING STANDARDS, 3) 'DISABILITY RIGHTS UK'.
Zero, Everything about this co.
No care, and when they do turn up its a catastrophe.
Staff are rude and unable to carry out simple instructions.
My stress levels are Maxed out.
Please stop using them.
Appointments not kept; pain, suffering, and risk to service user endured due to NRS failure to abide by appointments they arranged. My experience echos all as posted. If this was a company that people were able to choose or select, they would be out of business. Please write to MP to explain your experience. I am so angry regarding their poor performance, and failures, that seriously impacted upon my Dad's last 4 weeks of life but, aim to be discompassionte in this post. Please write to your MP regarding your experience of NRS as this may help in holding them accountable or, may ensure that they are not successful i n securing another contract with NHS.
Horrific, incompetent, disrespectful, worst company I have ever seen in operation. I honestly think the company needs to be investigated as I can't believe this is the level of service our tax money is purchasing,or how they could have possibly been selected by the NHS as a sub-contractor unless a back hander is involved...
Read the reviews VVV. This company does not tell the truth. Messaging us that work was carried out when they never arrived at the property. Then conversations with the call centre team are ignored. Three they’ve been asked to listen to the concerns. Three times they ignore it. Complaint raised and nothing was done. Now yet again they have arranged something when we’ve asked them not too. This is by the the worse company we have ever dealt with. Sack the board as they clearly don’t give two hoots about customers. Clowns around the table who clearly have no idea how to manage a company.
I have now taken two days off work to stay in for the collection of equipment from the flat of my deceased father-in-law. The company will not give you any timeframe in advance and request you stay in from 8am to 8pm. On the first day, I called several times in advance and on the day to confirm they were scheduled - and even the local Occupational Therapy service confirmed collection was scheduled. After 8pm - having stayed in all day - I called to see what the position was and was told they were not coming. No explanation but was given a (wrong) email address I could send a complaint to. Eventually I had a reply to my complaint saying how sorry they were and that the driver "ran out of time". No explanation for why nobody contacted me to tell me this. They re-scheduled me for today and their email (from the complaints team) said the technician would contact me in advance to advise me of the time. However, no call from them but I called myself to double check they had the correct contact details and that the collection was scheduled. On the morning of the second scheduled visit, I called to confirm and the operator told me that I was definitely on the list and was in fact on the "Complaints" list so this meant I was a priority. I asked if I needed to call back and he said I could call in a couple of hours if I wanted to check timings. I called after 2pm as no one had contacted me and, after the usual 15+ minutes on hold (this happens every time you call them) I was informed the driver had cancelled the collection as there was no space on the van. The operator was unable to tell me why no one had called to let me know (even though she could see on her system that the collection had been cancelled over an hour ago). I asked what would have happened had I not called to check and she told me somebody would have called me "later". I have no faith that anyone would have called me and I would have had to stay in until 8pm waiting. When I asked who I can speak to about this, she told me there is no number to call and that the would "send a message to management". No other advice or solution was offered and that is now two 12 hour days that have been lost, with loss of income and wasted time. This firm is a disgrace. I can see from Trustpilot and Twitter that many other people have had the same or similar experiences. How this service has been commissioned by the NHS using public funds and having no direct accountability to the service users is a mystery.
