I am extremely disappointed with the way Ohlssons handled my case.
In February 2026, the ownership/movement notification was submitted with a change date of 31 March 2026. The property address, contact details, new billing address, and the property owner’s information were provided. Ohlssons also sent a confirmation acknowledging the submitted information, and we subsequently received written confirmation that the change would be arranged from 31 March.
Despite this, the change was apparently not processed correctly. I had already moved out on 31 March, yet several months later I was issued an invoice for SEK 940 relating to waste collection at the property. I did not receive normal invoice in my current address, according to property owner, it also did not come to my "old address". The invoice was followed by a reminder, additional charges, and eventually a collection claim through Visma Amili AB.
This is extremely frustrating and in my view, reflects a serious failure in administration and communication. A customer should not have to deal with reminder fees and collection proceedings for an invoice relating to a property after they have already moved out—particularly when the relevant change had been submitted and acknowledged by Ohlssons months earlier.
I contacted Ohlssons to clarify the matter. I also had to submit the information again and pay the invoice, including the reminder fee, to prevent the situation from escalating further. It is particularly disappointing that the customer was left to deal with the consequences of an administrative issue that arose despite the information having been provided in advance.
What makes the experience worse is the lack of timely communication. Even after following up, I was told that the colleague familiar with the matter was unavailable and that I would have to wait for a response.
Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a company takes responsibility and resolves them. In this case, I found the handling of the matter unnecessarily difficult, poorly communicated and stressful.
Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that Ohlssons improve its processes for ownership transfers, billing and communication with customers before invoices are escalated to collection.
