Oli's Skate Shop has been in business since 2012. Originally as a successful Ebay Store achieving a 'Power Seller' status at a very early stage. We are a family run business, with a passion for skating, and many years experience of running Roller Disco's. Top notch service that I cannot fault
Honestly can’t fault Oli’s Skate Shop at all. Karl has been absolutely brilliant from start to finish. I’m stupidly busy with work, so he actually called me out of hours to help me out more than once and even sent me photos of different wheels and colours so I could pick what I liked without any hassle.
What really impressed me was how honest he was. He even told me not to bother with the most expensive bearings because they wouldn’t suit the type of skating I do. You can tell straight away they’re not trying to upsell you, they just want you to get the best for your money.
When I put the order in, he had them built, packaged and shiped the same day, this meant I received them the following day
Massive thank you to Karl and the team. You’ve definitely gained a long term customer.

I'm so glad I found Oli's Skate Shop…
I'm so glad I found Oli's Skate Shop online when looking to replace my 90's Bauer 33 turbo's that all the backs split on.
I spoke to karl a couple of times helpful and knowledgeable,he gave me some options and i decided to go with the Bauer X-LP boots.He managed to get them out to me for the following day.
Absolutely amazing customer service and highly recomend 5 stars dont come close.
I'll definitely buy from again

Very professional and friendly service they go out their way to help you in any situation they made my daughter very happy getting the Skate out to us before Christmas and then when we wanted new wheels and bearings, no problem sent them back they fitted them and sent them back in a fast and professional way highly recommended .my Crosby

Couldn’t be happier with the custom…
Couldn’t be happier with the custom build! Oli’s have built all of our skates as a family for around 10yrs, every single pair have been built to the highest standard( I’ve had 4pairs in this time, husband about 3 and kids about 3 pairs each) extremely knowledgeable, I mean what they don’t know isn’t worth knowing. Always a pleasant transaction, very professional and just all round good decent people who care about the skates they build! Thank you again guys you are the best 🥰

Waited 7 days for “custom made” baurers…
Waited 7 days for “custom made” baurers to be assembled, fact is they just put 8 wheels on , 5 min job, threw the laces and back stops in the box for me to finish off the boots even though I paid for colour matched stoppers, best just buy a pair next day delivery and buy some laces etc

Hi Robert,
When we made contact earlier this evening you asked us to call back in 15 minutes but we are now not able to get through to you. We would have liked the opportunity to sort out a resolution that you would be happy with but unfortunately all we can now do is reply on here.
The Bauer skates are not just assembled with wheels and accessories, these skates are hand built to order. They come into us as ice skates, we strip the blades and then drill and build on base plates according to what type of plates customers want. This takes quite some time, especially when we are very busy with orders. We advertise a 5-7 day lead time for despatch for this custom product and this is shown on your order confirmation.
The colour matched stoppers are offered for toe stops and these were fitted onto the skates to match the wheels you had chosen. You ordered 2x back stops and these were put onto the skates for you. In some smaller sizes we are unable to screw the actual stoppers onto the back stop units as the skate will then not fit into the Bauer box, this is the reason the stoppers were not screwed into the back stops. We do not normally put colour match stoppers onto back stops, the black stoppers tie in with the black plate.
We are a small family run business and take great pride in every pair of skates we custom build. It is disappointing to get a 2* review when we have worked hard to produce something for a customer.
If you would like the same stoppers on the back as you have on the front we would be happy to send these to you, just let us know with a quick email and we can get that sorted for you.

Hi Dave,
I had a message to give you a call about an issue with your order. I have contacted you by phone but you indicated that there was no issue with your delivery and didn't want to discuss anything further. I have now seen your review both here and on Google, as you felt the need to share your personal views of your experience on a public site I have no choice but to reply here.
On Saturday afternoon after we had closed you did not attempt to call the shop or the work mobile that is advertised. Instead you called a private mobile number which had been given to you by one of the guys in the workshop who called you to chat through options before you placed your order. This is his personal phone, he was not in work, was driving and the line was very bad. You were extremely aggressive and accused him/us of changing your order information and sending you an aluminium plate build instead of a magnesium plate. The order you placed was for the aluminium plate, you received an order confirmation which shows that clearly. As this was a non returnable order we had also sent you an additional email to confirm you were aware of that and confirm your order again. It is impossible to alter an order, we could amend it manually by putting in additional notes but we aren't physically able to change the order information. You wouldn't accept that he was unable to check your order or get any information until we were open again and became more and more aggressive. I understand that he did offer you the opportunity of returning the skates for us to put a magnesium plate on instead, this would be at an additional cost as the magnesium plate is more expensive, you then told him you were unprepared to pay for that as it was our fault!
We pride ourselves on our customer service and our efforts to make sure all our customers are happy. I am sorry that you feel you did not receive the service you would have liked but I think based on the facts and the aggression shown by you it is unsurprising that you did not get the responses you wanted. I will however speak to the person you had a conversation with and remind them that they always need to be calm and polite when speaking to customers.
Despite this, I understand how frustrating it must be to have not received what you thought you had ordered. I would still be perfectly happy to accept the skates back if they are unworn, either for a change of base plate and I would be able to reduce that increase in cost slightly for you, or for a full refund despite the fact they are advertised as non returnable.
Please let me know by email if you would like to consider either of these choices.
