I got in touch with Online bedrooms after not finding what I exactly wanted in IKEA. I had a zoom conversation with Online bedrooms designer explaining what I wanted. After a couple of slight adjustments to the design, Online bedrooms produced my design perfectly. I chose to build it myself. The quality of product and ease of build was first class. Would totally recommend this company.

The quality of my wardrobes is excellent value and the hinges are very strong. The design process went well and I did so many checks on my measurements and the plan’s measurements to make absolutely sure there were no mistakes. All parts were delivered without a hitch and we set to work to build them.
(Some equipment and DIY skills needed)
On completion there was a slight problem with the opening of one door but I have rectified that myself by fitting a handle.
BUT …… The doors on my husband’s robes did not fit with standard coat hangers and suit jackets or thick shirts without a lot of jiggling. So much so he has to hang these items elsewhere. Not my plan for our dream bedroom!
On checking the internal measurement of the cupboards they are only 50cm. This doesn’t show up on the plans.
I pointed out that 50cm is not generally considered a sufficient depth to Online Bedrooms and was told this was standard!
Sooo disappointed!
I was later told that was the maximum depth that could be fitted in my space. This is not the case.
I don’t want to bore you with photos and emails. I just want to warn you there was no comeback when things weren’t right.

Great communication and help during the design and ordering phase. Good manufacture and delivery time. Installation was simple and they look great.

High quality materials and fittings to work with. Delivered on time by a polite and helpful team who gave their time in helping me transport and stack this by no means insignificant cargo.
Extremely solid finished item.
You’ll need to exercise some imagination when accommodating the inevitable wall and ceiling deviations of your dwelling, scribing/fine cutting to fit etc, and nothing to do with the product, but that’s the fun of diy and the result of those efforts are always more than rewarding.
Thoroughly pleased with the finished item which has continued to function superbly over the weeks since I finished it and which promises to do so for many years to come. I recommend this company and its products without hesitation.

Don’t be put off by the bags of screws and fixings - you don’t need them all. The instructions are easy to follow and the sections fit together well. There is a lot of wood so it’s heavy and needs 2 people to assemble. It’s worth it though as it’s very sturdy and looks great.

From the moment I sent the first email the service from Online Bedrooms was excellent. Our designer was Lucie and she was experienced, helpful and very patient, never a hint of irritation at my small changes. Once the order was made we were in the hands of Aleksandra who quite frankly could run training courses for other companies on what real customer service is. There was an item missing from our order, I notified Aleksandra who immediately advised she would have it sent on. It arrived in a couple of days. There was no debate, no push back, just an apology and a resolution.
The quality of the wardrobes is superb, the instructions are easy to follow and we’re delighted with the end result.
All for a price that was a fraction quoted by others

Having viewed the webpages for front frame fitted wardrobes where all the product photos showing 2-panel shaker doors had the mid-rail positioned to give a 60/40 split I went ahead and placed an order for a 6 door wardrobe. However, when delivered the doors had a 70/30 split. Not only does this split look aesthetically odd in itself (I have only ever come across panelled doors where the mid-rail provides a 60/40 split or thereabouts) but for the handles to be located at the correct height for an adult they would then be significantly above the mid-rail and make the doors look even more odd.

Both staff members who dealt with my complaint (the first one in customer services and the second one a senior member of the design team) confirmed that the mid-rail on the 2-panel shaker doors is fixed at a standard point to achieve an approximately 60/40 split as shown on the product photos though the exact proportions can vary slightly depending on the overall height of the doors ordered (Note: the bedroom in which the wardrobe is located has the standard room height of 2.4m) and they refused to replace them. However, having stated that the doors have a 60/40 split the design member also sent me a link to their specific webpage for 2-panel shaker doors and this stated that the doors have a 70/30 split! It is therefore clear that neither customer services nor the senior member of their design team were aware that the doors are actually supplied with a 70/30 split - not 60/40 - and that the website's product photos for front frame fitted wardrobes which showed all the 2-panel shaker doors having a 60/40 split are incorrect and misleading.

There were also other issues. As an experienced DIY'er who has carried out numerous flatpack kitchen and bedroom furniture installations over the years, I downloaded and read the assembly instructions prior to delivery and queried with Online Bedrooms some of the assembly instructions for which I was thanked and was told that my comments would be taken on board and the instructions made clearer for future customers. The wardrobes are 'made to measure' but due to this being an old house with a sloping floor in the bedroom the 100mm bottom plinth needing packing underneath to get it level and I was advised by customer services that the supplied 150mm top plinth and 100mm bottom plinth decorative front panel could be swapped over so that the 150mm panel could be used and scribed to cover the bottom gap. However, after I did this and then installed the door frames I discovered that the 100mm plinth was insufficient to cover the gap between the frame and ceiling. Fortunately, the gaps which had to be covered by the two side scribe panels totalled just 55mm (this also rendered the supplied panel brackets useless) and as two 150mm side scribe panels had been supplied I was able to use just one of these to cover both side gaps and then use the spare 150mm panel as a top plinth to cover the gap between the frame and ceiling. Having supplied Online Bedrooms with detailed measurements and the wardrobes having being 'made to measure' 100mm side scribe panels would have been sufficient instead of the 150mm panels they actually supplied but it is fortunate that this did happen because it then enabled me to deal with the gaps to the floor and ceiling for which the supplied top and bottom panels were inadequate.

In summary: the Online Bedrooms website is misleading, the two staff who dealt with my complaint were completely unaware that it's two panel shaker doors are in fact 70/30 not 60/40 and despite the wardrobes being 'made to measure' the supplied parts may be inadequate for the job.

Do not order! Honestly the design that was agreed was not the as built, when I questioned this I was asked to remove shelves and drill my own holes to compensate for Online Bedrooms error! The hanging clothes compartment is so short the clothes dont hang! Honestly do yourselves a favour and shop elsewhere you will regret using this company.

After have a quote from a high street retailer and a well known brand we decided to give online bedrooms a try and really glad we did.
Online appointment was really informative and a design was drafted. Samples arrives next day to help us confirm colour choice.
A few more tweaks and a patient designer Richard finally had our final draft.
We asked to order and delay installation until ready and the company did not rush us and worked with us to meet our timeline.
Delivery was confirmed and arrived very well packed. It is a one man delivery team so you need to help to unload. This was not a problem for us.
We did have a fitter not turn up booked by online bedrooms and the company ensured a fitter was found as quickly as possible. Yes disappointing but you cannot fault online bedrooms responsive approach and the fitter they sent did an amazing job and was very keen to ensure we were completely happy.
The end result looks amazing and really happy with the quality. Hinges on doors open wide draws are soft close and draw bases and thick and strong.
Highly recommended getting a quote.

Furniture delivered on time, nothing missing. Our carpenter said the Furniture was easy to work with.

I was helped through the process from start to finish.
Able to talk to a designer and get what I wanted. The ability to have all my doors the same size without having to have oversized fillers because they make everything to size not to fit was a big bonus for me.
They look great and I can tell the quality and that they will last for a long time.

I placed an order with Online-Bedroom and received doors for my JC5 order that do not match the original JC1 doors I purchased. Despite their order specifications clearly stating “Frame door for customer to supply their own mirror – Frame Door x 1 – 304 × 1155 × 20,” the doors supplied were a completely different style.

While their team admitted that “both orders had 4 panel open frames,” they have made no real effort to resolve the issue and have repeatedly tried to delay or avoid taking responsibility. Communication has been slow and frustrating, with lots of back-and-forth correspondence but no action.

I cannot recommend this company. Their lack of accountability and failure to deliver the products as ordered makes the experience extremely disappointing.

Quality product, great customer service from start to finish. One of the panels was accidentally damaged in transit and they supplied a replacement within a couple of days. Very happy

The design process was made incredibly easy by having a phone discussion where I could outline everything we were looking for. They then shared a render of the design and were very receptive to making adjustment until I thought it was perfect. We are very impressed with the quality and ease of assembly of the cupboard, so much so that we are now ordering a fitted wardrobe for our bedroom!

We ordered 3 bedrooms from online bedrooms, master and both the kids. We had Shaker in our room and we opted for the smooth wardrobes in the kids rooms as it was more cost effective and we love everything about them! The idea of having the TV in the wardrobe was amazing as we have the PlayStation set up now. Charley was amazing and patient throughout the whole process. The fitting was nice and simple for the most of it and we got our joiner round to finish the last few bits off, I knew we had to scribe some panels but didn't want to do it myself so get them to come and finish it off to ensure the perfect fit! Have recommended these to all of my family and friends. Great value for money compared to the big high street names.

Our second lot of wardrobes from Online Bedrooms and we couldn’t be happier with this company! Everyone I spoke to were really helpful. The quality of their products is amazing, I’ve recommended to all friends and family and my parents are about to purchase their wardrobes too!

I ordered what was sold to me as a “bespoke, made-to-measure, perfect fit down to the last millimetre” wardrobe from Online Bedrooms. Unfortunately, the reality has been very different.
The wardrobes were supplied with oversized filler panels which I was expected to cut down myself. This was never made clear at the point of sale. In fact, the only cutting discussed in my initial call was in relation to length, not width. A reasonable customer buying a “made-to-measure perfect fit” product would not expect to have to trim panels themselves to make it usable.
To achieve the fit advertised, I was forced to spend an additional £160 on a rail saw — something no customer should have to do after paying for a supposedly bespoke service.
When I raised this with the company, they acknowledged the wardrobes were supplied as per their drawings and refused to reimburse me for the extra cost. While technically correct, this does not reflect the way the product was marketed and sold to me.
At present, I cannot recommend Online Bedrooms to anyone expecting a truly made-to-measure service. The experience has been stressful, costly, and disappointing.

Thank you for responding. I appreciate that fillers are “standard practice” in the trade, but your marketing promises a “bespoke, made-to-measure, perfect fit down to the last millimetre.” As a customer, that gives the clear impression that the wardrobes would be supplied to the exact room dimensions — not with oversized panels requiring me to do significant cutting on site.
The transcript you shared with me only referred to cutting for uneven walls, not reducing wide side fillers to size. The reality was that I had to purchase a £160 rail saw to achieve the advertised “perfect fit.” I don’t believe a reasonable customer would expect to incur that kind of cost or carry out that level of work after buying a made-to-measure product.
While I understand your position, my experience has not matched the way the product was described or sold, which is why I stand by my review.
