Ignored attempts to ammend prescription
My optition set the reading glass side of my prescription at 2.5 which initially I sent with the prescriotion details for my order. However I quickly realised this was too strong for me and sent an email the next day asking them to change that to 1.5 for both lenses. A few days later the prepaid envelope arrived with a form to fill on which I clearly wrote in large bold writing to change the order to 1.5
Despite these two attempts at ammending the order they still sent thee 2.5 lenses rendering the glasses useless.
No communication from them at all!

Dear Gerry, the order was fulfilled as ordered, efficiently & at a very low price.
Opticians spend at least 10yrs studying before they can even start to test eyes and often have many years of experience after that, so they are usually very good/accurate & they know what they are doing.
Nobody, us nor you can change their prescription, its a legal document, the same as a doctors prescription.
If you have different requirements or require changes, you need to discuss it with the testing optician and they may amend it but certainly we wouldn't/cannot change it upon request from anyone.
I suggest you take the glasses to the testing optician and explain your requirements, Kr, OOUK

Excellent service & the best online opticians I have found. Very reliable & I was even able to make changes to my order when I forgot to ask for tinted lenses. Also with other services it is down to you to arrange postage. This is all covered & the updates to the order progress are very helpful.

Poor Experience
Aka Thomas Eyewear.
Early in the process I cancelled my order. This was acknowledged by the company. A polite email request for my refund was ignored and, as others have noted, the telephone number is not answered. Like others I was forced to initiate a PayPal dispute to get my money back.

Dear Mr Reinhardt, You placed a bespoke glasses order and requested to cancel it within 45 mins, before we had the time to reply to a single 1 of the 4 emails you sent in that period. Our zeiss lenses are the lowest prices in the UK, so if you are price shopping in future, simply ask companies for an email quote BUT don't actually place the order, as you did, just to tout the invoice to competitors for a lower price match such as pretavoir, as you did...because...here's how business' work.
We pay transaction fees on both the original payment, & any refunds, so perhaps, if you're not a serious buyer, don't waste a companies time & money or exercise some patience in future, or ask questions before you order....
If you think you will cost any company time & money without being a genuine customer & then they will gladly spend more of their staffs time & effort, aka more money, taking your demanding calls & emails, then you need a reality check.
We could've have easily declined your request to cancel due to the law with bespoke products, you have no rights to such a request, we also could've deducted our costs from said refund, which we didn't.
You then have the audacity to leave a 1 star review...

Ordered early Jan, only received 5th March, took numerous emails and a call chasing the order. The first emails always answered promptly, but only with generic please be patient we will investigate type responses, then nothing, I would contact again, then same again and repeat. Finally an apology, frames requested are out of stock, choose another frame. Eventually glasses arrive 2 months after original order. They are functional but not what was originally requested. Would I purchase here again. NO

However, the lenses & the frame are as you ordered, but the frame is a different colour in black, as approved by you in your email reply.

I was very sceptical
I was very sceptical that good, prescription glasses could be supplied at 1/6th of the price I have been paying to my optician for years.
But at the price I decided to give them a go.
Nothing could have been easier, from selecting them, specifying the prescription, ordering and paying for them. Simplicity itself.
They have just been delivered 4th March, (ordered 24th Feb) and they are simply amazing. very well made , robust, good quality frames with the prescription spot on. Good quality case. faultless. Frankly, I am amazed!!

Great quality frame for good price
Great quality frame for good price. I got 2 frames one with prescription and one without. I work in the optical industry and was very happy with quality and service. We had to pay customs on top of delivery as we are in Ireland was only down side.

None delivery of glasses
None delivery of glasses. Had to chase the company none stop and will not answer or return calls. It’s been a month since ordering and they now won’t respond to emails. Terrible service. Avoid.
Updated: I have now received an extremly rude response via email from this company accusing me of telling untruths. They have not once returned or answered a phone call. And failed to stick to the 14 working day delivery term as stated by themselves in an email dated 30/1/26.

Due to the bespoke, prescription, transitions, thin, MAR coated varifocal lenses you ordered having every option possible, they take longer to make, however timings are guidance & not exact to the day, as explained to you in all of our replies. Really nice quality glasses
Really nice quality glasses that arrived on time (once I was able to clarify what that time was)
The only criticism - make it clear what lenses have a longer lead time, I went for a blue light filter only (no prescription), which attracted rhe longer lead time, but the wording implied that was only for actual prescriptions.
I didnt mind waiting and I am happy with the glasses and how they look.

Great service!
Their website contains clear and easy to follow information for choosing and ordering glasses. The choice is varied and the prices are reasonable. They are the only supplier I have found that offers special lenses/lens coatings for drivers and I have found those excellent in use. Their despatch and delivery service is efficient and they were happy to deliver to our address in France.

Very good prices, better tracking needed
Very good prices, so thought I would give them a try. The order process is simple, and I had a quick confirmation email, but there is no way to track progress online, so after 10 days I chased via email. The delivered product is fine and a sturdy case.
