Bullies !!!! , love to send threatening emails without knowing all the facts , should correspondence with colleagues first before hounding people who may be in bother , shame but its the world we live in , a modern day sh-t show. :(((((

Scam!!! Same as other reviewers

Same as other reviewers, out of the blue text claiming I owe money from an unpaid Orange debt. Never ever had an Orange Account, mobile or anything so good luck with getting a penny from me - scammers!!!!

Bogus debt!

Apparently working on behalf of capquest for outstanding Orange debt??!!! Never have I had an Orange account to even have a debt!!!

very caring and considerate

I had the pleasure of working with Ophelos recently, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, Hannah was incredibly kind, considerate, and understanding. Dealing with financial matters can often feel overwhelming, but they made the entire process so much easier with their empathetic and professional approach.

They took the time to listen to my concerns without judgment and offered tailored solutions that truly felt like they had my best interests at heart. Their communication was clear and reassuring, and I always felt supported every step of the way.

Was late paying Octopus and was…

Was late paying Octopus and was bombarded by texts, calls and emails. Despite asking them to STOP contacting me, they continue. They LOVE harassing disabled people and the elderly on fixed incomes. Ill be getting legal advice for harassment.

Very poor

They didn’t identify themselves as Octopus energy, I thought it was a scam
I moved house and moved Octopus energy with me, assuming my direct debits would continue. Little did I know they cancelled my direct debit and forwarded me onto these guys as “debt collection” with no warning
I set up my new account with octopus energy and increased my spending
You’d think octopus energy wouldn’t me know direct debits were cancelled
And you’d think Ophelos would reach out via phone or email to explain the “debt” which isn’t a debt. It’s poor planning on both companies behalves
And guess what it’s was less than a months worth of monthly bills which affected my credit score
Really really poor, I will escalate

Just some company who have bought un collectible old debt. Some of the reviews here look odd to say the least, one woman’s left three 5* ratings to here 🙄

Received a text out of the blue…

Received a text out of the blue regarding a £12k debt I "apparently" owe - I want to know who gave them my number as I'm very careful about who has it - so no doubt someone has sold them my information. I'm looking at litigation to find out who sold me out and gave them my personal number as it's not listed anywhere publicly. Heads will roll on this due to GDPR breaches.

Out of the blue receiving texts from…

Out of the blue receiving spam texts from these guys chasing a debt that I know nothing about and in any case would be statute barred - apparently for Orange, on behalf of Capquest. Shoddy sharing of personal data, no idea how they got my number. Reporting to the FCA.

Annoying chasing me when I'm in credit.

Annoying

Getting in touch with me to pay £300 when my other 2 x accounts are in credit by £800. I don't pester Ophelos everyday to get Octopus to return my money.

Thieves

Thieves. They took money from me for a debt that was 25 years old. Being registered with the FCA they can’t do that. It’s in black and white in their terms of service. The debt i know absolutely nothing about and wasn’t me
They didn’t even say “stand and deliver” when they took my money.

And all these 5 star reviews are members of staff at Ophelos making reviews up, they get paid for each one. The difference is I can prove they are in many more cases than you can’t. Period. PLEASE TAKE ME UP ON THE OFFER. I CANT WAIT TO PROVE YOU WRONG YET AGAIN. Of course ignoring THIS review leaves you open to speculation on your internal review writing procedure. I’ll lay my house on you never taking this offer up.

Update I received my £209.99 plus damages agreed by the ombudsman. And donated it to a locale food bank I offered Ophelos to match my contribution to my local food bank or a food bank of their choice. They declined.. that tells you all you need to know about this company.
