Contacted me via phone number with a…

Contacted me via phone number with a reference code - debt claimed is for a name that is not mine and for Halifax who I have never used. Three attempts to contact via email have been ignored and they are refusing to divulge and delete whatever contact details they have for me. Reporting to ICO and Action Fraud due to no resolution.

I keep getting repeated emails giving …

I keep getting repeated emails giving me an account number and the debt amount for a debt that isn’t mine because we have the same surname , which is part of my email .I am female the debt belongs to a man how wrong can they actually get it .

I have twice now told this shower of a company , complained to them and told it was being investigated and just got another email after being told it was being dealt with .This is a breach of GDPR .I have someone else’s financial information. I will Just report them for
this breach .I work full time I don’t have time or want to be dealing with this . I am now going to take legal action because I am sick of this , I go to work and do my job properly so should they and stop harassing me for a debt that is not mine .FOR THE FINAl TIME THE DEBTOR IS MALE I AM NOT THIS PERSON .So before I get an answer saying contact support don’t bother I will take further action and report to the FCA .

Tried scaremongering tactics to…

Tried scaremongering tactics to scaremongering me into paying a debt that wasn't even mine.
The details,address and date don't add up,and Action Fraud explained how a 24 Year old debt CANNOT be claimed anyway,and Ophelos will be aware of that.
Today Ophelos are still abusing me,it's been over a week since they promised a copy of this fake debt being cancelled.
All they do is send emails with pathetic excuses,and I'm going to seek legal advice tomorrow if it's not sorted out TODAY

Contacted me via email saying I have a debt via a very account , I haven’t lived in UK for over 25 years and never had a very account in my life ! I asked for proof and when advised I would complain to FCA they’ve now ignored my emails . Couldnt confirm any details , ie details that may have been given to set the account up . I was 15 when I left the UK so impossible to have store credit ???

Contacted me by text re a debt.

Contacted me by text re a debt to shop direct for £55 - shop direct are Very and I haven't had an account with them. I have sent an email asking for proof of the account and also a statue barred notice. No I won't give you the details you request in your generic auto reply, you should have all that info to hand if indeed the debt is real. I await your proof or notice that this is an error.

Despite what other reviewers have said…

Despite what other reviewers have said about communication with this company I found the opposite. I emailed numerous times asking for a statement because I could not get logged into my account despite receiving the necessary codes. I was totally ignored. Not a single acknowledgement of my emails was received. The only communication I have received from them was today when they informed me that my debt was cleared. All I can say about this company is that they collected my money regularly each month, informing me a few days beforehand that they were doing so.

No Bully Tactics 😁👍

Really helpful, very patient, no threatening emails or calls. Someone stated previously that if all debt companies behaved like this, people would resolve debt quicker. I agree.
So sad to see so many people struggling to pay energy companies.
Greedy greedy companies ripping people off.
Thank you Ophelos for making a stressful situation much easier to deal with.

Issues resolved thanks to Holly

This company has sent me an email 27th of June, for a debt originally owed to JD Williams, sold to Intrum Finance, and now they are supposedly acting on their behalf, even though they are part of the same company. This is a separate account and to a different email address to the one I posted about the other day.

A few issue with this contact are:
1. The debt in question is statute-barred, check these things before hounding people.
2. The only way to obtain any information apart from the tiny bit they provide is to login online (nope not doing that, do you think everyone is stupid)

As this debt is Statute Barred, remove all contact details for me from your systems.

Do not contact me requesting the removal of this review as I will not remove it nor will I respond to you.

Update: Ophelos have contacted me directly and this matter has now been returned to Intrum as Statute Barred. I have therefore increased my review to 4 stars from 1. To be fair to Ophelos, unlike some companies out there, these do appear to work with you to resolve issues.

Scam! I've been receiving texts stating I owe money to Lloyds TSB, I've never had an account or loan with them! I will be reporting to FCA and ICO.

I started to get messages from them…

I started to get messages from them since last week with log in details to pay for Loan from Barclays that I apparently took on 2012, I don’t have Barclays account and never took any loan from them! I am calling the police and fraud department today because I had enough of them distributing me and stressing me even more while I am struggling with depression, to me this company is a scam or have no ideas of what they are doing! Soon you log in the only option they give you is to make the payment, I am not stupid and will not pay for something that isn’t mine obligation to pay, find the person who did or get lost!

Terrible

Terrible, unable to speak a human and continued to take unauthorised payments although I had paid the balance off in full through the original company. Recommend everyone to ignore any contact they receive from this company.

Scammers/ identity theft

Received letter this morning claiming I have unpaid debt from Clearpay, for gift cards I’m supposed to have purchased back in April 25.
I do not have a Clearpay account and have never made any purchases from them.
I have report this to Action Fraud, the have given me a crime number
