My experience was very very positive.
This is a highly organised unit staffed by cheerful, helpful, reassuring professional and hardworking people.
I observed them guiding patients, who by definition were predominantly older, through the process with a smile and a gentle word.
In addition the information provided pre and post operation was very helpful going forward.

Cataract surgery
Everything went well. I wasn't satisfied because I wasn't seen by a specialist either before or after the operation. I was only seen by an optical technician at the Eyesite facility in Brighton before the procedure.

I paid for lens replacement over £7,000…
I paid for lens replacement over £7,000 ,the result was amazing until about 7 months ,then my left eye started to go opaque,(cloudy). I got in touch and the lasered the film off my left eye, its been 3 years and now my right eye has gone cloudy but now they wand a £1,000.
to laser the film off my right eye?,why don't they tell you before the operation that when they put your implants in your body will cover the lenses with a coating as it does not belong there ,so you have to have it removed at a extra cost????????

There is no follow up work after…
There is no follow up work after surgery, even I have called several times (9 July, 17 July & 20 July) requesting for the next appointment, the operators just said nothing need to do at the clinic, and also said the follow up work responsible by my referral optician.
It makes me feel helpless and desperate because my optician BOOTS also said nothing they could help me.
With this experience I totally loss confidence with the NHS system of ophthalmology services.
