I have been looking for a specific Liberty frame that I chose from my former optometrist ten years ago. My current doctor at Kaiser said they don't offer them, so I went directly to Optics Outfitter, the company who made them. The first time I didn't have much luck, but this time I had the fortune of working with Ronnel, who was amazing. He emailed me, called me twice and found the exact same frame that I LOVED! He was kind, patient, and just plain awesome, and knew exactly what to ask me so that I was able to order exactly what I wanted. I am so excited to receive them in a week or so. I had difficulty trying to order a set of prescription Recspecs Recoil shooting glasses as both eye care places in my town were no longer carrying them. I called Optics Outfitters and got Beth. Needed to make rush delivery and Beth helped with following up and ensuring my son's goggles were shipped overnight.

This company – which sometimes goes by the name RecSpecs - is awful.

I rarely take the time to write a negative review, but this place was beyond. I placed an order on September 20 for a pair of sunglasses (which are manufactured by a SwitchVision and not prescription). These details are important because of the lies I was told later.

Upon placing my order I was told it was 3 to 5 business day shipping. A week later I get an email telling me that my order was “being manufactured” and would take 12 to 15 business days, and that I would receive confirmation when it was ready.

On October 15, still having heard nothing, I called and was told that my glasses were “being made in the lab” were “going to be ready the next day” and for my troubles I would receive “free overnight shipping.”

Today, October 18, I still see no updates. I called and the agent said “they are just putting the glue on your lenses.” Obviously, it was another lie, so I asked them for my money back and for an immediate confirmation of cancellation to my credit card. That, luckily, I received promptly.

Do not order from these guys. They suck. They lie. And they tell you the most ridiculous tales.
