Juggling multiple responsibilities is a challenge, but amidst the chaos, I found solace in nurturing living beings, from my furry four-legged companions to the dehydrated bumble bee that stumbled across my path. It was through these moments of care that I developed a profound appreciation for the struggles every living thing faces. The realisation dawned upon me – if I could make a positive difference in the life of a tiny insect, then there was meaning and purpose to my own life. Opus Vita, although officially founded in 2023, traces its roots back to a transformative encounter in 2009. Whilst sunbathing in Florida on holiday, I locked many eyes with a big and beautiful adult female jumper. In that split second, my fascination was sparked. A quick photograph led me down a rabbit hole of research, and over the years, my passion grew into a full-fledged commitment. The essence of Opus Vita then took on a personal journey. During a challenging time, my first jumping spider became a tiny companion on my desk, helping me find focus as I re-entered work after being unwell. Witnessing her dedication in building a secure web around herself inspired the Opus Vita ethos. It's not just about breeding and e-commerce; it symbolises both commitment to the arachnid world and the pursuit of balance in our lives. Fantastic customer service!!
Its my first time buying from this company and I wasnt disappointed. My items arrived quickly and packaged beautifully.
It did have a couple of issues with one item but Laura and Victoria responded to my emails very quickly and did everything in their power to resolve the issue for me. I highly recommend this company and will be buying more items from them in the future.

Adorable little enclosure
First time buying from this company and I was thoroughly impressed with the product, the things that were included and the speed in which it arrived. I had a couple of jumping spider enclosures that turned out to be a bit big so needed like a nursery style enclosure and so a friend suggested opus vita. Really happy with everything and will be back to buy more!!!!

Incredible stuff but use better glue
The variety of spider decor, as well as its aesthetics and functionality are just incredible. The packaging, price and speed of delivery were also all 10/10. The variety of stuff in the store is also pretty awesome although some soft flowers or leaves with suckers (fake plants, soft) for the enclosure would make it 100% complete lol.
The only reason why I am taking off one star is that one of the magnets in my bridges fell off a couple of days after I bought it (that was a purchase I'd made at the Amazon Opus Vita store right before the one i'd made one on their website).
I am not sure what caused it, but the message on the products about not spraying water directly on the products is alarming. Misting the enclosure is a must and it's hard to avoid getting water on there. I know people in Opus Vita want to keep everything safe and non toxic for the spiders, but aquarium glue (and a host of other glues) are both water resistant *and* non toxic if left to off gas completely. And it is definitely not safe if an item (especially a heavier one, like a nest) falls on top of the spider. There is no warning before a magnet decides to disengage.
The products should be water resistant. If other shops do it, so can you Opus Vita. Come on, you're on your way to the top lol.
Edit after response from Opus Vita: Wow, thanks for the super kind and detailed response. FYI, only one of my rope bridges in the three pack failed (a purple one). I assumed it was a weak glue issue because of the packaging warning, but clearly I did not know the background. I am aware that people taking things to extremes can lead to various warnings on various packages.
Regarding glues, if you have tested so many brands I am of course completely out of my depth. I will not even try.
For this incredible customer service and given the background information I did not know before, I will award another star.

Firstly, with regards to your rope bridges that have failed, we’d love to replace these. I have your order number so I’ll arrange that right away 😊
The reason we have a label with care instructions is following feedback from previous customers, where it appeared some of our decor had become quite saturated during misting. This is, of course, not the norm, but the feedback we received was that we should make customers aware that this can perish certain part of the decor. So we made that change 😊 There’s also cleaning and care advice on the label, as we genuinely want our customers to get the best wear out of our products.
That being said, we recognise that the materials we use tend to lean towards natural origins and with this comes a whole host of other potential issues, which again, we actively work to avoid. We have tried and tested quite literally around 40-50 brands and types of glue, and this research is ongoing, and we would love to hear suggestions on this moving forward if you or anyone reading this has any highly successful brands, it’s a minefield!
In addition, we’ve actually started the testing process for two new methods of affixing our decor and have another to begin shortly. We’re always working hard to improve our methods with the small team we have and it means a lot to us to make improvements. With feedback like yours, we can try to implement changes based on our customers’ priorities, but with invert safely at the forefront. We stand by our niche with our designs and don’t mind working extra hard to make them work to the best of their potential.
Keep an eye out for the changes coming up soon, and as soon as we have a new method that works we’d love to hear your further feedback if you’d be interested!

Great experience
I had been looking for a long time for the perfect light for my jumping spider, and it does not disappoint. They were quick to reply to my questions, and even added a shipping option to Canada from the website when I asked if they could ship! Light came quickly, was packaged great (no damage from a long journey surprisingly) and even came with a couple of free adorable stickers and a free candy.
