Phone helpline staff bad
TfL’s customer service helpline is awful. Every time I deal with them, they manage to do things wrong.
The workers struggle to cope with answering more than one question at a time. Just asking for a basic refund is a struggle for the people they employ. It is shockingly bad.
If you’re going to call them, which you probably will due to the dire state of the website, prepare to waste a lot of time and deal with people who don’t seem to know how the Oystercard system and website work.
It’s absurd that this level of incompetence runs the transport system in London!
Horrendous services
Horrendous services, whether it’s too much heat, snowing, too cold, trees falling and derailing and multi disruptions caused by god knows what….Basically you are better off renting a car on Lime bile rather than planning a journey with TFL.
And again
And again, like every single Friday since mid July, the victoria and northern line have got 'issues' with trains, signalling and whatever else.
'Hopefully we will be on the move shortly', as the driver kept on repeating until our train was taken out of service.
Thank you, tfl, once again, for the service provided
I was at Maryland station yesterday…
I was at Maryland station yesterday 18/08/26
at around 10:30pm when I had an issue with my Oyster card being on minus because I had travelled through Heathrow without knowing it had a higher charge and my bank card was also blocked. As the staff explained to me why my bank card was blocked and why I had gone into arrears on my Oyster card I was trying to get home to an ill family member. The staff was patient and polite with me as he explained the situation and helped me top up my oyster. He also explained how the travel fairs work now I feel more comfortable travelling on TfL because of Mr Singh. He was such a help and so respectful with actually taking the time to listen to my situation and making it clear and easy. :)
Disgusting 🤢
Disgusting 🤢
Travellers beware ⁉️
Get reimbursed for every delay occurred so this nonsense actually stops because it’s awfully expensive to travel in London anyway. Today I couldn’t reach the airport because of them.😡
People fainting, extremely overcrowded & unreliable information
Extremely overpriced for a service that feels like it works properly only 50% of the time.
There is barely enough staff around when things go wrong, and what frustrates me the most is the completely misleading information given to ppl
Recently, my train was cancelled and staff kept telling us it was “just a small delay”. We were then told there would be replacement buses — there weren’t. After hours of waiting, we were eventually told to go back to London because there were no trains running. I spent around 4 hours travelling absolutely nowhere, lost another ticket that cost me around £30, and ended up back where I started.
When I finally got back to London, a member of staff told me, “The trains are running, there’s just a small delay.” I had literally just spent FOUR HOURS trying to make that journey and had been sent back to London because the trains were not running. How can passengers make decisions when even the staff don’t seem to have accurate information?
Then there’s the Central Line in extreme heat, with people feeling unwell and fainting because of the temperatures and lack of air conditioning. The infrastructure feels extremely old and constantly seems to struggle whenever there is extreme heat, a fire, signalling problems or basically any disruption.
London has an enormous number of people relying on public transport every single day, yet the system often seems completely unable to cope with the volume.
And getting a refund is another nightmare. All my journey details are available on my online account, I submitted a refund request, and I still haven’t received the refund or even a proper update.
You guys have to work on your buses…
You guys have to work on your buses especially Sundays buses making it easy for workers, also the bus times
0 Stars Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible
Always delays and disruption
Like how can you fricken depart late every time.
Worst service ever. You people are fricken lost plots
Awfully unreliable and random service…
Awfully unreliable and random service on bus route 40. Service has been going down hill for the last 3-4 years now.
I board at the beginning of the line - Farringdon station or city thameslink. Busses disappear from the board, or show coming in 4min for ever, and then 3 busses come together. Or the bus passes by ahead of schedule. No excuse for this, it’s happening even when there is no traffic. It is a relatively short route. I use it Wednesday to Friday, and every evening, after work is the same story. Disappointing.
Transport for London-complete farce
As there is no way to list a complaint here against the ULEZ pay process, I'll just log it against the TFL. I travelled to London to visit family and tried to log into the app to pay the ULEZ fee. The app wouldn't accept a log in, and also wouldn't let me register, change password or any form of profile recovery. On return I contacted them only to be told I couldn't sort it out until the penalty notice that had been generated had been challenged. When I received it the wrong name was on it, so I informed them of the error, only to be told that I "couldn't defend the named party as it wasn't my name on the notice" (they used my middle name as my last name, a very simple but easy mistake to see for themselves).
I have just spoken to 'George' an extremely rude and condescending individual who not only kept shouting me down, but went off tangent trying to argue a point that wasn't even asked. When he realised his error, he came back with the classic "I feel threatened, your being passive aggressive so I'll terminate the call", a pathetic attempt to enable avoidance. When that failed, I was subjected to one word responses.
I have so little fair in the TFL I almost want to take this to court just so they can be exposed for the petty, money grabbing department they are.
TFL incompetant
I receive a charge for ulez because a car I sold 3yrs ago entered the zone. Are TFL too lazy to contact DVLA when their enquiries receive no responce?
I spent 2 hours trying to sort it out, the staff were like robots and were very unhelpful.
TFL IS WORST
Elizabeth line is one of the finest but the worst line ever every single day there’s a delay, literally every single day!! And sometimes even the staff on the platform don’t know what they’re doing or talking!
New Cross Gate
Absolutely disgusted by the treatment I received from staff member Meuyo at New Cross Gate today. I travel New Eltham > New Cross > New Cross Gate > Streatham Hill daily and have previously been told my key card is valid for this route, despite not being able to tap at New Cross Gate. Today, Meuyo refused me entry, claimed my ticket was invalid and told me to pay, despite Error 57 appearing. His dismissive and condescending manner was unacceptable. I request this incident be investigated.
Ellis was very helpful and friendly.

Very disappointed with the service
Very disappointed with the service. I paid to renew my freedom pass but uploaded the wrong London address. They sent me email to make me aware of it. I uploaded the correct proof of address, they still stopped my card.
Signal failures and train…
Signal failures and train cancellations. Can never get the Elizabeth line from airport without changing multiples times. Advertised as a one line but often you have to get off at Paddington or
Elsewhere. Not reliable please get driverless trains. There needs new management and better staff
My son’s car has been misclassified for…
My son’s car has been misclassified for the purposes of ULEZ. He drives an old diesel car and it’s quite happy to pay the standard charge of £12.50 a day for it. However, TFL have classified his car as an HGV. They want to charge him £100 a day we have sent the V5 to TFL twice. They seem completely incapable of reading an email and think we are applying for an exemption, when all we are applying for is correct classification of a car. absolutely useless customer service.
We SHOULD NOT pay for any journey
We SHOULD NOT pay for any journey. ALWAYS delays, drivers wait repeatedly at stops, they behave badly, you wave they don't stop, you press the button they will not stop for some reason, i totally understand now ppl who refuse to pay or make a big fuss about it- totally understandable, as Tfl buses or whoever mock everything

Grateful for card, but surely this could be easier?
Let me just say I am very grateful for my Oyster 60+ card and the chance to get a refund if I accidently use my credit card.
However on the two occasions I have claimed a refund for accidental use, the following has happened. the second incident was today.
I go to the site and whereas I can see my accidental payment it does not give me the oprion for a refund, just three choices of which 'something else' is the only option; and I leave a message.
So, I call customer services and, after a potentially long wait, selecting option 1 (as they mention the 60+ Oyster) i then speak to someone, who redirects me to a new number? Then after another wait, they redirect me to yet another new number. After 34 minutes of waiting and redirection I got cut off!
So I started again. All in all I spent well over an hour. today, being redirected and waiting. On the last occasion, of trying to claim back an accidental payment (a few months ago), I spent half a day being re-directed!
As I stated, I'm grateful for the card & the chance for a refund; but please do not tell me this isn't made deliberately difficult in the hope people will give up.
Horrific experience — safety and security issues
Horrific experience
Attended Luke Combs concert Sunday, a huge thing for me as both physically and mentally disabled.
Left bag at Euston station with house keys, I inhaler and shoes at designated storage at station Wembley I discovered has no bag policy. Not well advertised.
Went to concert with my carer. Left 22.00hrs to get back to collect my bag and journey home. Concert traffic diverted to back of station through what seemed to be residential area Had to walk up a large sloping steps. Arrived at station told no one checking tickets gates are open we are to get onto first train and then work our way back to our destinations.
Herded onto train like cattle, experience terrifying to say the least. My anxiety cannot cope with the unknown. We were pushed onto a train that terminated at Kilburn No assistance even though I walk with aids
Arrived at Kilburn train terminated as did every other train Spoke to staff at Kilburn told would need to go on Bakerloo line to Queens Park then work our way back to Euston
Finally arrived back at Euston at 23.20hrs. Missed my luggage collect With engineering works finally got back to Huntingdon at 0150hrs. But that was minor issue as keys were in bag that I should have been able to collect if not been forced to board trains that went no where
My concern is this. Having gates open and forcing people onto trains may clear Wembley quickly but poses a huge safety and security risk Anyone could have boarded one of those trains armed with a knife, gun or even a bomb. The trains were overcrowded as it was. It would be the perfect target for a terrorist
By forcing people to board overcrowded trains they risk injury
I cannot tell you how scared I was and I am sure I am not the only person who felt like an animal being funnelled into the unknown like a lamb to the slaughter This is not acceptable behaviour. No disabled assistance as staff did not care. We were told to board the trains that was all they cared about.
I now have to pluck up enough courage to venture back into London to collect my bag and pay silly amounts I. Storage cost for something that should never have happened 40 minutes should have been enough time to get from Wembley to Euston
Completely disgusted. Not a great advert for people visiting the capital city
