Best decision ever to choose this
Experience from purchasing the exam to sitting the exam to receiving results, everything was very smooth and easy. Being able to sit the exam at home made me feel less anxious and more confident. Would recommend this service if you wish to pass like I did!

I undertook the English Functional Skills Level 2
I undertook the English Functional Skills Level 2 after only getting a ‘3’ in my GCSE.
The whole process was easy, from enrolment to completion. The online learning was easy and I competed the course - when suited - over 2 month period.
The exam process was great - being able to take it from home. Set up on the laptop was a little fiddly and didn’t work well. Online support was available but did struggle to resolve my issues. I did have to replan my exam to an alternative date.
The exams were easy to navigate and results quick to be returned.
I have a 14 year old brother and we will be getting the course and exam for him to compete. It will lighten the GCSE load later for him.
By passing this course it has enable me to move on into an apprenticeship September 2026. Thank you!

t took me 13 years to pass my maths and even though after multiple attempts throughout my teenage years into early adulthood I just couldn’t get that pass mark. This year I promised myself I would gain my maths qualification so I could go onto university and with an opening coming up soon I needed to pass it and get my certificate asap! Pass functional skills helped me do that and it was a very straight forward process, the customer care team are also amazing and right up to my exam they kept in contact making sure I had enough support and offered me further materials to help ensure I achieved a pass mark. The turnaround was extremely fast and from sitting my exam to getting results I had then within 2 working days and my certificate! I would highly recommend pass functional skills; thanks to you I can no go onto doing my dream job this year which is years in the making!

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the course and examination experience I recently had with your organisation.
Unfortunately, I was unable to fully access the course content, and more importantly, I could not access the exam at all. I do not have an alternative device that supports downloading the required program, which made participation impossible from the outset.
As a single mother caring for a 10-month-old baby, I do not have the flexibility or resources to source additional equipment at short notice. Being advised to “borrow a device” was not a practical or considerate solution given my circumstances.
Additionally, I am currently experiencing postnatal depression, and this situation caused me significant distress. The lack of clear communication and preparation around the technical requirements, as well as being placed directly into an exam environment without adequate support, resulted in an extremely overwhelming experience.
At no point was I given a choice regarding the platform used (such as an alternative like Zoom), nor was I properly informed in advance about the specific requirements. This lack of transparency and flexibility is unacceptable.
I also requested a refund due to these issues. However, I was refused on the basis that I had “accessed the course” (despite not being able to engage with even 15% of it) and because I had “booked the exam,” which I was ultimately unable to attend due to the same technical barriers. I find this response unreasonable and unfair given the circumstances.
Had I failed due to my own shortcomings, I would understand. However, the issues I encountered were entirely due to the platform and setup chosen by your organisation — decisions that were beyond my control.
The overall experience was so distressing that I felt physically unwell and considered seeking emergency medical help. This is not something any course participant should have to go through.
I am extremely disappointed with how this has been handled

These requirements are set by the exam platform and awarding organisation which you selected at purchase, they are laid out on our product pages and in the exam instructions. We’re sorry for the stress caused by these restrictions.
With regard to your refund request, this has been assessed in line with our published terms and conditions, including course access and exam booking. While we understand your perspective, this is the policy framework we are required to follow.
Rather than leaving things here, we would really like to help find a way forward that works better for you. One option we can offer is to transfer your exam to a different exam board or setup that may be more accessible for your situation. This would commonly require a fee, however we are willing to waive that in this case. We can also talk through the requirements with you in advance to make sure everything is fully clear and manageable this time.

used PFS to do my level 2 english and have nothing but good to say about it. i found the course really helpful and was actually quite overwhelmed at the start with how much material there is. i recommend you do the initial assessments as soon as you enrol on the course as they are a good base level and showed me what i needed to work on. the exam experience was good. i felt comfortable despite being nervous for the room sweep and first checks. i did my exams with tquk and found the questions and exam format was very simple and easy. with the english you have to do a speaking listening and communicating exam, this was what i feared the most as i have severe social anxiety however it went really well. the invigilator (i think her name was joanne) was lovely and it being a small setting really made me feel at ease. thanks to all the revision material i knew how to answer & respond to questions aswell as engage in discussion and share my presentation. i’ve had such a good experience i have booked in to do my maths in june. thank you to PFS, their lovely team and TQUK for giving me the opportunity to go to university.

No refund after 24 hours
Misleading and unfair – avoid this company! They advertise a 14-day refund period, but the moment you access the course—even briefly—you lose any chance of a refund. I cancelled within 24 hours after realising is not for me and was refused my money back. Claiming a 14-day refund window while taking it away the moment you log in is unacceptable and feels deliberately deceptive.
