I worked with Passion for a little over…
I worked with Passion for a little over a year. All end-users are in the same database and when they have more than one app, they get messages that their login or password is invalid. If they are new to me but have an existing Passion app, then they get the message that their credentials are invalid. I sent videos and asked continually for help and got nothing but patronizing answers. They patched a sloppy fix to let the new people know that they have another app but don't tell them what it is. So there is this game of constantly changing passwords to get into the various accounts. That reflects poorly on us if we have a whitelisted app and since we are the front end. I moved everything over to Membership.io and canceled my Passion account in March 2025.
I see the update from Passion on why they have a central database. More and more people are adhering to the online practice to have different passwords for each site and use password managers for that. Because of this and because there is no way for the end user to know which apps are Passion apps and which ones are not, this leaves the end user confused and sometimes angry because they are constantly having to go through a password recovery process only to be forced to repeat with each of the Passion apps.

Seamless Setup, Amazing Support, and Total Convenience!
Setting up my coaching app on Passion.io has been one of the easiest and most intuitive processes I’ve experienced. The platform walks you through every step with clarity, making what could be a complicated process feel smooth and manageable—even for someone building an app for the first time.

Read this as your warning, don't ignore the low reviews, they're very real experiences of working with Passion.
Honestly, I've had Passion for a year and now I'm moving onto new developers. My experience working with Passion has been very poor!
I've given two stars mainly for the reason that yes, I do have an app on the app stores and for some of the employees (Andrea, Hope, Simon, and Nuno) who I genuinely felt like they actually cared & wanted to help, something that feels hollow within the rest of Passion.
It feels very 'front end marketing' promising you the world and all the cool features, but when you finally sign up and create your app you'll quickly realise that the systems are failed, the app constantly has glitches, and everyone within Passion deflects or completely ignores your calls for help.... they'll be happy to jump on a call and upsell you to one of their ridiculously high-ticket plans though.
If you have a successful business and building an app is the next step, stay far away and go find yourself more passionate (pun intended) developers - you'll save yourself time, money, and an enormous amount of stress.
Funnily enough, as a meditation teacher, my app is all about helping people with stress and yet that is all passion have given me.
Spend 5 minutes to download Passions app & read the comments within the community and you'll quickly realise that they ignore comments of negative feedback or people crying out for support. Jump on the facebook group and you'll see people crying out for help and the comments being disabled. Passions 'front end marketing' prays on the gullible, sadly I ignored the negative comments on TrustPilot a year ago and now I'm paying the price, I've lost part of my community and my business has suffered because of Passions incompetence.
Last year I spent 8 weeks reaching out to every channel of Passions to get a call back or help from them while my app kept crashing, 100s of my users couldn't do anything within the app and I lost so many subscribers as a result of passion never getting back to me. I eventually cracked and posted a negative response in the facebook group, which surprisingly got accepted but quickly disabled when everyone else commented with similiar experiences.... Simon & Nuno helped but a few months later, we're back to square one and nobody to help again.
They'll also randomly create 'new features' and install them without any notice and screw up the whole layout of your app; hours and hours of work & time that you've put into it, gone in a moments notice. It's clearly a "quick everyone is getting upset, announce a new feature and deflect for a bit" .....
Again, save yourself the time and stress and find some developers who actually care about you and want to support you. Passion doesn't care about it, they just want your money & to upsell you.
Most of the 5 start reviews in here are an upsell... "leave us a review and we'll send you x, y, and z" kinda rubbish.

Should I REALLY rate this 5 starts? Here's why...
I can't think of a better company that will deliver on the tech side of things but also really care about the impact you're going to make as a creator or coach. Everything from how to create the best user experience, to how do you generate leads, and how do you monetize and scale your business without selling your time so you can do what you love which is help more people without sacrificing your family time or time for yourself. I have met A LOT of the employees at this company and I cannot believe the culture of the company. Every single person I've met is very passionate about the mission which is to make this world a better place by empowering creators with everything I said earlier. Coming from a martial art background and teaching it, core values were very important to me and I was really shocked by how strict every member on the staff really follows the core values (#impactfirst is my fav!) sometimes I'm so busy and very tired, at the end of the day working on the business... it's tough. I didn't realize how much having a really positive and inspiring community would really push me and encourage me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to the entire staff and team for making this possible for me.

Be careful when you sign up with passion.io
Be careful when you sign up here. They charge a lot for their services and although they are available for support, you are very much on your own trying to get to know and set up the app. I paid $297 per month for 14 months and I found it too difficult to get it working. When I expressed this and asked if they could refund my money since I havent been able to launch the app, they gave me no refund and I have now lost more than $3,500. That is not a company that wants the best for their customers, they are greedy, unfortunately. Thankfully there are other companies in that same business where you can be sure to get the help you need.
WIX is one of them, far more professional and you get your website in there too, for 15 times less the price than passion.io.
I wish you all well in your efforts to get your online business/apps going, this is just not the company to go with.

I have had the worst ever experience…
I have had the worst ever experience talking to staff member Luis Noriega | Passion.io (even don't know his position in the company, he didn't introduce himself) and I am not sure if it is his real name.
1) he told me the story that his camera didn't work, so I was talking to an avatar on the screen
2) I asked about what service Passion.io can provide and the answer was he didn't know. I asked about the price range and the answer was "we have different prices, but I can't tell you"
3) I asked to tell me the list of competences of the company and how they can assist the client and was told that he wanted to know about me first.
When I left the request on the website for the call I wrote what I am but he said that knew nothing about it.
4) he didn't want to listen to me and kept telling that they don't work with everybody and want to know first about me.
5) I insisted on telling me what service they can provide and the price of it but never got the answer. Only vague excuses that they can do EVERYTHING. Really everything?? He even couldn't tell some basic things, I am not talking about customizing to the client needs.
6) finally he said that they had different packages and I was in all my ears to hear that but he said that he couldn't tell what the packages were.
That's a kind of scam when they aggressively push you to tell what you need and immediately tell you that they can do everything (no matter what you say) even without presenting the company and services it provides.
The price was a secret.
The man was rude.
The conversation was vague.
Don't ever use this app if you want to have transparent communication and good customer service.
I was ready to sign the contract and proceed, as I am really looking for a good company to build the app for me but they seem to not care about potential clients.
I said that I would write to the owner Dan Harvey and this guy said "I am the boss"
Stay away from this company if you don't want to lose your money.

Passion.io is legit. They are professional, helpful, and incredible. I could NOT have launched my app without their help. Even with their platform, and their incredible guides of step by step to do, I still needed hand-holding in the process. And I have a tech background. Apple and Google aren't easy, but it IS doable with Passion!

I purchased Passion.io to build an app that was easy for me and my clients to utilize. The group onboarding training was super helpful to getting started on the right foot. I’m working my way through the Expert Unleashed challenge and can’t wait to launch my app within the next 1-2 months!
