Paws at peace were absolutely wonderful when we lost our little dog Penny.There was no pressure to say goodbye.
We were treated with kindness and respect.The aftercare when collecting Penny was lovely.

We came to the end of a beautiful journey with our shihtzu Honey , 15 and half beautiful years made 15 and beautiful memories.
The use of Paws at Peace at home was easy to use and the staff were extremely professional,portraying dignity, sympathy and warmth while in our home to Honey,
quietly put to sleep in a very peaceful manner .To give this experience one word to sum it all up is

PEACEFUL

Anyone thinking they might need this type of service soon or in the future we'd highly advise it .It's as said truly peaceful where as if it was at the vets it would of been clinical , distressing for Honey and us , so at home was the right choice by far ❤️❤️❤️

Being told by our vet that our beautiful Bella had to be pts was absolutely heartbreaking. We couldn't bear for that to happen in a clinical environment at the vets. Paws at Peace were recommended by my daughter (who had recently used them when it was 'time' for her beloved staffie).
Kim made us feel more in control regarding our needs (and Bella's) after talking to her, and we were able to organise her visit the very next day, which is what we wanted. Kim was so warm and friendly when she arrived and took time for Bella to get to know her and feel relaxed. We were able to say goodbye exactly where we wanted (on our sofa), holding and stroking Bella all the while. Kim gave us all the time we needed before administering the sedative and she was so empathetic and understanding. She truly gave Bella the very best, peaceful and painless ending we could have ever dreamed of.
Sadly, within a week of losing Bella, our other little dog was diagnosed with a life limiting condition. We will use Paws At Peace for her too, when the time comes.

From the very first phone call Neil was so empathetic & easy to talk to.He explained everything from the start.He came to our home at a time to suit us.He reasured us we were doing the best thing for our beautiful Ollie. Neil gave us time time to say our goodbye Our Ollie went peacefully & without pain in his favourite place our garden with his family lying next to him & the sun shining. Losing a beloved pet is tough but Kim was so kind and sensitive to emotions. The reassuring calm nature and clear explanation made a sad occasion really quite beautiful in its own way.

Saying goodbye to my border collie was one of the most difficult times but made a lot easier by everyone at paws at peace.

All the staff I spoke to on the phone were caring and compassionate. Vet Neil who came out was very calming and made my sometimes nervous dog feel at ease in his final moments.

The process of organising cremation was made so much easier by paws at peace and forget me not crematorium who helped us in a very stressful time.

Thank you to paws at peace for making a heartbreaking day as peaceful and stress free as possible.

We cannot recommend Paws at Peace highly enough. Saying goodbye to our beloved dog, Meggie. It was one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do, but the kindness, compassion, and professionalism shown by everyone involved made such a heartbreaking time a little easier.

From Kim, who supported us from the very first call and kept us updated, to Abi, who came to our home and treated Meggie with such care, dignity, and gentleness we felt truly looked after every step of the way.

Being able to let our girl peacefully go to sleep at home, surrounded by love and comfort, meant everything to us. We will always be grateful to Paws at Peace for helping us give her the peaceful goodbye she deserved. Thank you so much. ❤️

The process was so simple to arrange. Abi turned up on time and gave us space to say our final goodbyes. She took things at our pace throughout. She was Thoughtful and Kind and very considerate to all ofus.

I would highly recommend Paws at Peace.
From the first phone call Kim and the team were so compassionate and respectful. They came to our home at a time that suited us, took the time to explain what would happen and reassured us that we were doing what was best for our beloved dog.
They allowed Alan to go peacefully in the spot he liked best with all of us around him. Although it was heartbreaking, this meant he wasn't anxious like he would have been at the vets. We were then able to decide how much time we had with him afterwards before he went to the funeral home. Thankyou all for your kindness at a very difficult time 🐾🌈

From start to finish I cannot recommend this service enough. Easy to arrange. Very empathetic and understanding. Helped us through a very difficult time. Very gentle and caring towards our mitzee. Returned her ashes within 72 hours personally along with a host of keepsakes for our remembrance. Absolutely superb service. Couldn’t recommend this more.

We are writing this delayed review following the passing of our beloved cat Socks in December 2025. During this heartbreaking time, we were cared for with exceptional compassion by Paws at Peace. From the very first phone call, everything was explained clearly, and every question we had was answered with kindness and respect.

Abbey the vet was incredibly thoughtful throughout the entire euthanasia procedure. She gave us all the time we needed, explaining every step of the process and spoke gently with us about bereavement. Her understanding nature created a peaceful, unrushed farewell for Socks. She gave us plenty of time for us to hold, cuddle and talk to Socks as he passed away which helped us greatly

Having the euthanasia at home meant he could pass without stress, resting peacefully on my knee—something that would never have been possible at the vet practice, where he was always anxious. Though it broke our hearts to say goodbye, his kidney disease had caused pain, weight loss, and an inability to eat. Letting him go was the final act of love.

Socks was truly special to us—a rescue cat who loved sitting on our shoulders and even walked on a lead. In 2017 he spent eight weeks at the veterinary hospital in Morley where he bravely battled to recover from a tail pull injury. Then the next eight years he faced bowel issues from the injury alongside kidney disease. He had remarkable courage. He could climb trees in seconds, he was mischievous and could run as fast as a whippet. Socks followed us everywhere, he would wait at the window or garden gate for us to return home, always rushing to greet us. He was a deeply loved member of our family.

We are grateful to the entire team at Paws at Peace for supporting us through such an incredibly difficult time. Socks lived with us for twelve wonderful years and passed away aged fifteen. We will never forget the joy, love, and companionship he brought into our home.

Paws at Peace also recommended a nearby cremation service, where Socks was individually cremated with dignity and compassion by Tony

I picked my little dog up and at this point Kim told me that she would administer the injection in her leg. This should have been painless, instead it hurt Poppy and she struggled to free herself from my arms and collapsed on the settee unconscious. There was no time to reassure or comfort her. The last moments of her life were filled with fear and pain and that is what I will remember for the rest of my life.

From the moment we picked our Poppy up from a rescue centre 11 years ago, I knew the time would come when we had to say goodbye and honestly didn’t think I would be able to cope. When that awful day finally came, paws at peace helped us send our beloved girl over rainbow bridge, at home surrounded by love and I can not thank them enough! The service they provided made the worst day of my life that bit easier. You and your pet will be so well looked after

Paws at peace were amazing in collecting and looking after our Lexi until she was cremated. They did an amazing job with her plaque and ensuring it was exactly how we wanted it. We cannot thank them enough!

We made the hard decision to let our old boy Jack go and was recommended paws at peace by my son who had just lost their dog 6mth earlier. Jack hated the car & detested the vets more, I didn't want that to be his last memory. Kim came & explained everything. She was very calming & it felt like she was almost part of the family. She fed Jack treats and he took to her no problem. I received a text then a card from paws at peace afterwards which was very beautiful and thoughtful. Paws at peace are a fantastic company and were brilliant throughout the whole process of having a home euthanasia for our beloved dog.
The process and appointment making was explained clearly so you know exactly what your options were.
A lovely lady called Kin came for the appointment. She was very caring and empathetic. The whole process was explained in a very sensitive way of what was going to happen. And was great during the process giving us time during the process and our dog had a very peaceful ending. For which we are forever grateful for.
Aftercare is also fantastic .
It is a wonderful company who actually cares.
Our pets are our family and you want the very best for them.
