We want to be upfront that current delays are affecting the whole industry, not just your claim. The FCA's motor finance redress scheme is subject to a legal challenge, and lenders aren't required to calculate or pay any compensation until that's resolved. The Upper Tribunal is due to hear the case on 14 to 18 December 2026, or 16 to 26 February 2027, so this has held up progress across the sector.

We do sometimes need you to confirm or provide details of the finance agreements you held, as lenders won't always release full information to us without this, and having accurate details from you helps us identify all agreements that may be eligible, including any you might not have thought to mention. It's not that we're asking you to do our job, it's to make sure nothing is missed and your claim is as strong as possible.

I have had nothing from them for ages
I’m assuming that the experience you are referring to is a settlement? If so we haven’t had a settlement? In the beginning they asked a lot of questions but no result? Perhaps this will encourage them to respond?

We can confirm no settlement has been reached yet, and that's the case across the industry at the moment. The FCA's motor finance redress scheme is currently subject to a legal challenge, and lenders aren't required to calculate or pay any compensation until that's resolved. The Upper Tribunal is due to hear the case on 14 to 18 December 2026, or 16 to 26 February 2027, so unfortunately there's a wait ahead before any settlements can be confirmed, this isn't specific to your claim.
We did send you an update on Thursday 13th August, please check your email or log into your portal, it should give you a clearer picture of where things currently stand. If you can't locate it, please get in touch with us directly with your reference number and we'll resend it and talk you through everything.

You're right that consumers aren't required to use a claims management company, and you can complain directly to your lender for free, the FCA has been clear on this too.
That said, we want to give you a clear update on why no payments have been made, industry wide, not just by us. The FCA's motor finance redress scheme has been legally challenged by four parties, and on 2 July 2026 the Upper Tribunal ordered a partial suspension of the scheme while it considers the case. This means lenders are not currently required to calculate or pay any compensation. The Tribunal has confirmed it will hear the full legal challenge on 14 to 18 December 2026, or 16 to 26 February 2027, with a judgment expected in the months following. If the scheme is upheld, the FCA expects payments to begin in 2027. If it's overturned, the process could change and compensation could be delayed further. This is why no claims company or lender has been able to make payments yet, regardless of how a claim was submitted or who it's with.
On the calls, we can only account for contact made by us, which our records show as three calls. If you're receiving a high volume of calls, it's worth checking how many companies you may have signed up with, as this is a common issue across the claims industry when multiple firms are pursuing the same type of case.
We're sorry this has felt dishonest from where you're sitting, that's not our intention, and we'd genuinely welcome the chance to talk through your claim directly and clear up any confusion. Please contact us with your reference number whenever you're ready.
