You're right that consumers aren't required to use a claims management company, and you can complain directly to your lender for free, the FCA has been clear on this too.
That said, we want to give you a clear update on why no payments have been made, industry wide, not just by us. The FCA's motor finance redress scheme has been legally challenged by four parties, and on 2 July 2026 the Upper Tribunal ordered a partial suspension of the scheme while it considers the case. This means lenders are not currently required to calculate or pay any compensation. The Tribunal has confirmed it will hear the full legal challenge on 14 to 18 December 2026, or 16 to 26 February 2027, with a judgment expected in the months following. If the scheme is upheld, the FCA expects payments to begin in 2027. If it's overturned, the process could change and compensation could be delayed further. This is why no claims company or lender has been able to make payments yet, regardless of how a claim was submitted or who it's with.
On the calls, we can only account for contact made by us, which our records show as three calls. If you're receiving a high volume of calls, it's worth checking how many companies you may have signed up with, as this is a common issue across the claims industry when multiple firms are pursuing the same type of case.

Contacted this company about 18 months ago. Provided all the documents required and they began my claim. From the outset i was warned that the process would be prolonged, and may not be settled by 2027 even.
They also located a second agreement took out on my previous vehicle, that has also been submitted. The company are easy to contact, and i always deal with people, rather than a non human process. Very impressed to date.

We completely understand your frustration, particularly given how long this process has taken. However, the delays are not due to a lack of action on our part. The motor finance industry is currently awaiting the outcome of ongoing legal challenges relating to the FCA's proposed redress scheme. These challenges have been brought by both a number of lenders and the consumer group Consumer Voice, resulting in further uncertainty while the courts consider the issues.
As a result, the FCA has paused the progression of many motor finance commission complaints until the legal process is complete and it can provide final guidance. Unfortunately, this is outside of our control and affects claims across the industry.
Please be assured that we continue to monitor developments closely and are ready to progress eligible claims as soon as the FCA confirms the next steps. We know the wait has been frustrating, and we remain committed to keeping our clients informed and pursuing every eligible claim as soon as the regulatory process allows.
