I visited with cats receptionist
..helen....oustanding!! Very down to earth and helpful. Ive had to cancel appointment due to my own sickness and today at very short notice due to to bereavement. Time is precious and money as it is a business after all but i have never felt such empathy and understanding and felt she put me first above everyrhing.
Wonderful people wonderful service. Go here ! You will always feel comfortable and at ease knowing your pet will get best care. The compassion was exceptional so all this rubbish about money in the other reveiws i have to disagree with. I could have been easily charged for today
I was prioritised in front of the pound .

I got a 7 month old rescue dog who didn’t pee when I took her out. I went to the Roundhouse vet who examined her thoroughly and told me her bladder was full and she would need an operation to empty her bladder and it was at dangerous levels and it would require an anaesthetic and an overnight stay. It would cost £2500. I decided to go and have a think about it.

I then decided to get a second opinion. I went to my old vet and they also examined her. They said her bladder was fine and that she was definitely peeing somewhere and that I should go back and check my house. I did and discovered she had been peeing in a back room on some rugs. What’s that all about Roundhouse vets??? Dodged a bullet there I think.

Very poor communication as no warning was given on adverse side effects of prescribed anti-inflammatory medicine. My dog had a severe adverse reaction to the medicine which resulted in an out of hours & costly appointment with emergency vets. I was told that I should have referred to the accompanying instructions which didn't exist. They billed me for the first appointment on the day but failed to charge me for a sedative and chased me for payment. I called to question and was told that I left before they could charge for all of the services. They made me feel like it was my fault. I will be changing my vet and recommended others do the same.

Left my pet in agony for months, delayed diagnosis, inconsistent and unprofessional.

Took my dog down with swollen face said to them before went down dog need knocked out as he not let them check him out . Went down told o need to come back at 1 to get him knocked out was quoted 289 went down gave him injection it never put him to sleep after 2 more attempts he finally went to sleep for them to look at him I said to the it be his teeth abscess done test extant stil none the wiser. Now my dog got blood coming from month and smells and hardly eating etc and donot want to take him down as cost more when we spent 800 for nothing . I did say it a abscess think now it’s burst but donot want to take him to roundhouse as o no going to cost me again and really it should not they just want the money

Shocking were told one thing then different in morning no feedback takes a while to get through on the phone the only time. They were responsive when taking your money would not recommend them to my wurst enemy. You only can pick one star it should be 1 star minus.

I attended the practice for a check up and vaccines for my kitty. My appointment was at 9 o’clock and was advised the vet was running late so we weren’t seen to until 15 minutes later. Once we got taken we were in the room no longer than 3-6 minutes to be told details we already knew from previous vet history like she had a murmur & that we could clearly see the cat had lost a bit of weight so blood tests would have to be done but the practitioner who deals with bloods wasn’t in at this time therefore i would need to take another morning off work out of no fault from my own because they don’t have the correct staff on-site. I was made another appointment which I had to cancel as I could not get 2 mornings off in a row at work. I was told there would be a consultation charge of £44.40 - I was very shocked by this as we were in the room under 6 minutes with no new knowledge on the cat and the test hadn’t managed to be completed that same day - I queried this with the receptionist who spoke to me like I couldn’t understand - she just kept telling me it’s a consultation fee for the consultation that was booked - I understood why a fee would need to be in place however for what was carried out in that room was not enough in order to be a full satisfactory examination of the cat. I then asked to go back and speak with the vet who phoned me back later that day to advise me that she checked the cat over and was satisfied that only blood tests needed to be carried out - I then reminded her that they could not do the blood tests due to their staffing issues. Since this appointment the cat started to get really physically unwell, I managed to get booked in with Vets for Pets in Airdrie who had appointments after my working hours - When I attended here the vet who checked the cat over was shocked to see how bad a state the cat was in & that her eyes & mouth were really pale - upon examination of the cats body she could feel a large feces the size of her body in her stomach and was extremely worried. She made me aware the cat was really ill and this was causing a lot of the problem with the weight loss etc. She advised me they could do blood tests to be 100% sure it was feces in the stomach however they expressed their concerns that she may only get worse waiting on blood tests and if it came back that she would need to have it removed in an operation she would not make it so in order to get my kitty out of pain it was best to put her to sleep. This came as a massive shock to me as on my consultation with Pets n Vets there was no concerns brought to light here - I believe if the feces had been caught sooner there may have been medication to help the cat pass this however due to this been missed the cat is now away to sleep. Pets n Vets haven’t really expressed any sympathy towards this situation and my complaints just keep getting passed about however I just wanted to make more people aware to STAY CLEAR of this vets.

Terrible. Avoid this place if you love your animal. No consistency, left my pet in agony for months despite persistently phoning for help. Tested for every daft infection under the sun when my pets symptoms were very serious - months of losing weight, vomiting, bloody diarrhoea all over the place. Did an ultrasound, no one properly spoke to me they just suggested I put him down. Shocking care, I kept phoning for pain relief and wasn’t given it, not even the receptionist knew what I was prescribed I had to Google it. When I went to a different hospital Vets Now they said he had 1-2 wks left to live in oct. He is getting proper treatment now and is alive.

Our registered Petsnvets practice is at Harvie Ave in Newton Mearns. My dog collapsed , couldn’t take her weight on back legs and vomiting violently.I rushed her to Harvie Ave at 3.30 only to be told that they don’t have a vet. They have a locum in mornings only. I had to get a taxi to the Roundhouse. She was taken immediately and kept overnight. The treatment as such was adequate but she was handed back to us by a vet nurse with no explanation of what had been wrong. Discussions about our insurance took precedence.
Now having trouble getting our excess back.

We'd been customers of Pets'n'Vets for many years until recently. We'd had a few recent consultations that we were less than happy about, but things came to a head after our beloved 19 year old cat had to be euthanized at the surgery.

The vet advised that we didn't need to worry about the bill there and then, out of compassion. We had requested that our cat had a private cremation with his ashes being returned to us, and Pets'n'Vets were going to organise this.

Days went past and we were anxious for an update. Reception staff advised that he was with the crematorium and that everything was in order. We called the crematorium to ask if we could collect his ashes ourselves, and they said they didn't have him.

It emerged that his body was being held at Pets'n'Vets because of an 'unpaid bill' (the one the vet hadn't issued us with out of compassion). I'm not sure if they were ever going to send us this bill, or just continue to hold on to our cat.

I complained and one of the owners, Mr Lough, contacted my partner to apologize. Communication with him seemed very genuine and the business relationship between us and Pets'n'Vets was repaired, so we remained customers of the business.

Recently, one of our cats received a serious injury and we needed emergency expertise and treatment. We contacted Mr Allan, another of the Pets'n'Vets owners, knowing him to be an expert in the relevant field. He responded by telling my partner that he would not assist, cancelling our appointment and citing my earlier complaint as the reason for his refusal.

Our cat has been fortunate enough to be treated by another expert at a different practice, and against significant odds is recovering. I would not recommend Pets'n'Vets because I've never had an experience quite like this with any business, with one partner making every effort to repair a business relationship and the other proceeding to throw it away.

I've been with these vets for 20+ years and can honestly say money matters more than your pets wellbeing!!! Absolutely disgusting how they lie to you and carry out unnecessary tests that are not needed. Caught them out and they are refusing to refund and do the correct tests which is needed , unprofessional!! ....

I'd give this vet a zero if I could, my dog was back n forward to this vets on a weekly basis with breathing issues and this went on for over 16 weeks and £2000 spent ,she had to be put to sleep because she was getting worse and all they could do was give her antibiotics and steriods ,she should have been referred to the main vet hospital for a MRI after 6 weeks but wasn't,so she was PTS and we didn't know why , its all about Money with this company and how much they can get out you they should be ashamed to call themselves vets 😡.

Took my dog to The Roundhouse in early April with scuffed front paws caused by intermittent dragging. No diagnosis was forthcoming. This quickly developed into stumbling and falling at the front end.Repeated consultations resulted in a diagnosis of Myelopathy which is the failure of the rear legs (my dog had not shown any sign of rear leg issues). After pressing for an MRI scan that the vet said would be difficult to arrange as my dog’s condition wasn’t an emergency we were given the news that our dog had a large Meningioma (tumour) on his neck putting pressure on the spinal cord. The situation was drawn out until the MRI finally took place on Wednesday 27th May. It would have helped to have the symptoms recognised early and if there was uncertainty then appropriate advice sought or research carried out. The delay and lack of urgency was a major let down.

Best vets we've used. So happy with everything from day one.
