I have just had an amazingly comprehensive and supportive phone call with Dr Amel of Pharmulous regarding some ongoing investigations that may affect my weight loss management options going forward. For the small fee the consultation was way ahead of anything I am getting via NHS GP’s & Consultants and more thorough than the private ENT specialist I spoke to. Really pleased - Pharmulous is definitely filling a much needed gap in care where so many of us rely on private prescriptions for our weight loss (or these days many other) meds.

Pharmulous is great and the customer…
Pharmulous is great and the customer service has been super, my only frustration is that they insist on sending my parcel with a signature required. Other pharmacies I’ve used will allow the carrier to leave the parcel in a secure place which is much easier than sitting home all day waiting for a delivery.

We understand that requiring a signature can be less convenient. As some medications are temperature-sensitive, we require a signature to help ensure parcels are delivered promptly and safely, rather than being left unattended where storage conditions cannot be guaranteed.

We are sorry to see this review. We did respond to your query and explained that our Refer a Friend offer requires the new customer to register using the unique referral link supplied by their friend.
When you confirmed that you hadn't used your friend’s referral link, we explained that unfortunately we could not retrospectively apply the referral. We also answered your follow-up question regarding when registration is considered complete and offered you and your friend a discount towards your next orders.
We appreciate that the referral process may not have been clear when you initially signed up, and we’re sorry for any frustration this caused.

Unsupportive
Despite being on maintenance I felt the approach was unsupportive and overly prescriptive encouraging me to use more drug than I am comfortable with.

Our clinical team has previously explained the guidance relevant to your treatment. As a regulated healthcare provider, our clinicians have a responsibility to prescribe and provide advice in accordance with the licensed dosing schedule and appropriate clinical guidance. Where a patient wishes to follow a dosing schedule outside of this, our clinicians may advise against it where they are unable to support that approach safely or appropriately.
We recognise that patients may have their own preferences regarding treatment and maintenance. However, our prescribing decisions and clinical advice must remain clinically appropriate and focused on patient safety.
We’re sorry that you found this approach overly prescriptive, but we hope this explains why our clinical team provided the guidance they did.

Utter disregard for patient safety…
My prescription medication was delayed in transit for 12 days. When I raised concerns, a member of staff actually advised me to just take two doses from the pen. In their final response letter, Pharmulous completely backtracked—admitting they couldn't guarantee the medication's safety or temperature control, yet still refused to issue a replacement or refund. Leaving a patient with potentially compromised, unsafe medication and giving conflicting clinical advice is unacceptable. Avoid.

Patient safety is central to our service, and we take concerns regarding medication storage and transportation seriously. We do, however, respectfully disagree with the way some of the information provided by our team has been characterised in this review.
In particular, Pharmulous would not advise a patient to use medication known to be compromised. Information provided regarding the time available to administer doses was expressly subject to the medication having been stored appropriately and remaining within the manufacturer’s specified temperature requirements. We therefore do not believe that describing this as advice to “just take two doses” accurately reflects the information or qualifications that were provided.
Your concerns have been reviewed through our formal complaints process and a written outcome has been provided. As a healthcare provider, we have a duty to maintain patient confidentiality and cannot discuss the individual circumstances or correspondence in a public forum.
We remain committed to providing safe, professional and transparent care to our patients.
