I knew I’d got it wrong when it said…
I knew I’d got it wrong when it said the tax office owed me money on my self assessment. I used the service where pie did my entire taxes for me and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. My workings out were wrong. Very wrong. I’m glad to have let Pie tax catch it before going into HMRC fine territory.
Thank you to the team at Pie Tax. I’m going to stick with you just for peace of mind.

Stress Free Tax Return Help
As someone new to the self-employed world, I found the tax return process quite daunting and had no idea what I could claim as expenses. I signed up for the “We Do It For You” service, where you’re assigned a dedicated tax assistant to guide you through everything. The process has been fast, incredibly informative, and completely took the stress away. The app is very easy to use, and any queries I’ve had have been answered quickly. I honestly can’t recommend this app and service highly enough.

Love this app! Easy to just reconcile bank transactions on my phone, which means i actually keep my accounts up to date! The messenger help is really good, all my questions have been answered really quickly. For very little money they reviewed and submitted my self assessment on my behalf. I’ve used other accounting software (and accountants ) and this has definitely been the easiest to deal with and most cost effective.

Great first experience with pie app
This was my first time using the Pie tax app to file my tax return, and the experience has been great so far. The in app chat support gets back to you promptly with any queries. I’m using the paid service, and the tax expert scheduled calls and was able to clearly address any issues I had. Overall, a smooth and helpful process- would recommend!

I recently joined pie, (after the tax year). I had a lot of expenses to find to much to deal with, so I paid for the full service and a pie linked my 2 bank accounts sifted through outgoings messaged me to view draft copy. So I then agreed to it being sent. Excellent service would have took me a long time. Nice little 3k+ return. Highly recommended 5*****

Poorly designed app
Poorly designed app. A complete pain in the arse to use. Many better alternatives.
Edit: The above review, that I will leave unedited, was flagged by the company as defamatory. Clearly they don't realise that an opinion is not defamation or Top Gear would've been sued out of existence when Clarkson hosted it.

That is not your responsibility. That is the responsibility of Trustpilot. I strongly suspect that if I had said backside or bottom you'd still have tried to have it taken down because it is unflattering, not because of the word arse. As for honest and unbiased, I'd be very careful using that sort of language. Suggesting I am lying or trying to sabotage you would be actual defamation. I do not work in this field. I have no vested interest in the financial success of you or your competitors. I tried using your app and found the experience frustrating due to design issues. That is the start and end of it. I suggest we leave it there.

Regarding the original review being flagged. This was done by our team due to the language used, which we felt could be seen as harmful or defamatory. Trustpilot only provides limited options when flagging content, so we chose the most appropriate one available to us. We absolutely respect all feedback, even the tough stuff, but we also have a responsibility to ensure conversations on public platforms remains honest, unbiased and respectful for everyone.

Best free to use tax app
I've been using Pie Tax now for six months. It's really helped me to improve my business by simplifying book keeping and tax reporting, allowing me more time to focus on customers and more importantly freeing up my evenings that used to be spent dealing with admin. The app is clean and well thought out. Customer service when required hd been excellent and any issues/ niggles with the app been quickly resolved in future updates. Best of all it's free at the point of access and without hidden charges limiting the primary function of the app, but you can opt to pay for features like having professional accountant go over you tax return before submitting. This is a relatively new App and the developers are keen to expand on its functionality and future use.
