Easy to submit taxes
I used the app to submit my self-assessment,the app is easy to use however I needed help with some questions via chat and I was promptly answered. My accountant used to charge me 2x what I paid here for the same service :)

good little app
im an electrician, and i used the pie app to do my self assessment this year, it was really easy, and its super cheap. i saved around £300! jm not using my accountant this year.

Good service. App needs work
I am a paying customer who has paid ~96 quid for the annual subscription and ~60 for the tax check and send services to file my self assessment return for FY22-23.
The app is fairly easy to use and is updated frequently (was actively using it - around Dec/ Jan). I found customer service (accessed via in-app chat) to be very supportive and available most hours even if just to say we've got your message and will ask so and so to get back to you first thing tomorrow.
However, at the time of writing I could not add income streams like rental, foreign income, etc. Nor can I file for my spouse who has identical filing. I have provided this as feedback to the accountant assigned to me though.
I found the app a good idea though some work needs to be done on working out minor kinks. It's likely workable for really simple use cases, but needs to add support for above mentioned features.
The saving grace was the accountant I was connected to, who was very responsive and helped me quickly.
All in all a positive outcome and a decent experience. Hopefully they will be even better next time around.
