As a mature student returning to education for the first time, choosing Pitman Training Dublin was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my personal and professional growth.
From the moment I enrolled, I felt welcomed and supported. The staff at the centre were friendly, patient, and genuinely invested in helping me succeed — which made a huge difference coming in with nerves and uncertainty about returning to study after many years.

I can’t thank Pitman Training Peterborough enough for the support they have given me throughout my journey and career change. Completing the Office Manager Diploma was a turning point for me. The team were incredibly supportive, encouraging, and always available whenever I needed guidance.

Since adding the diploma to my CV, I’ve secured three jobs, which truly shows how valuable and recognised the qualification is. I’m so grateful for the confidence, skills, and opportunities this course has given me. I would highly recommend Pitman Training Peterborough to anyone looking to progress or change their career.

I did a medical administration course and passed. Don’t get me wrong I nearly quit as I found it difficult to do medical terminology. I had a bit of a breakdown but Hazia from the Cardiff branch was totally amazing with me. I completed the course and now I’ve a job within the NHS which I love. Phill and Mark were also a great team to encourage me on. I really can’t fault the Cardiff branch one bit. I added on to complete a medical secretary course which I am enjoying. I even had a well done card when I had my job!

Training aspect was fine. Trainers were quite supportive. But don't expect any proof you actually completed the course you chose. Be ready to pay high prices for a course with nothing to show for it. Over 3 months is an awful long time to receive a certificate. Who knows might receive it next year. 😒

fraud, incompetent employes, unreliable systems.

How do you get away with selling a windows 8 ecdl course for a windows 11 computer?
The course is telling me to go to a certain place and it's not there on windows 11, its somewhere else.
The expert advice was just to look about!
Im using Google to find the answers!

Avoid this place! When I signed up I was told that , I will get support , oh yes of course, rubbish support! Would you chuck away your Ipad and MacBook Pro for a nearly 10 years old laptop??? Well, they did not tell me that their receptionist course program is not supported by iPad, by MacBook Pro anything that has to do with Safari and recent devices! Unacceptable..,, well you need to make it to work on an iPad or MacBook Pro, am not willing to throw it away , when I paid a lot of money for it! I will further complain about this issue and if nothing g can be done , will go somewhere else to complain, not fair and absolutely rubbish company! Student support is NON Existing! Stay away from this company!

Excellent range of office skills courses. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend.

Data Analytics course was great. Covered several tools like python, SQL and R. Currently using python in my role and it helped a lot. Would happily recommend to people want to learn these skills.

Would avoid at all costs!!

Very poor customer service with no care for students.

Was let down twice with 2 different exam bookings.

The pitman examined clear ‘forgot’ about my exam booking, I was then fobbed off with a lame excuse, no initial apology. I was the left feeling pressured into sitting my exam an hour and a half late.
So much stress and anxiety caused, which is not ideal before sitting an exam.

They then also failed to comply with AAT standards and failed to file an incident report for the delayed start. Which I then had to request alongside AAT.

Customer service was no help what so ever. Apparently they have no means of contacting with individual centres and examiners. Extremely poor service provided, very unprofessional with no care for students.

In the past I have sat many exams with pitmans and couldn’t recommend them enough but after this I feel extremely let down. I would hate any other student to go through what I did and this is why I highly recommended avoiding this company. Very poor service and care!

I was sold a course (Data Analysis) with the promise that it was ideal for beginners and would lead to job opportunities. However, once I paid the high fee, the reality was completely different. The tutors provided had very poor English communication skills and were unable to answer even basic questions. Live video calls only covered extremely basic concepts, and the real learning was left to numerous self-study online courses that were far too advanced for beginners—despite being marketed as beginner-friendly.

From my class, I’ve stayed in contact with eight people, and none of them have secured jobs through this program. Everyone I’ve spoken to shares the same frustration and disappointment, and a few are even pursuing legal action against the company.

Please be cautious—don’t fall for the promises. The Data Analysis course does not deliver what it claims, and in my opinion, it’s a case of misleading sales tactics.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Pitman Training Waterford. The staff were very helpful and supportive throughout my studies. I would definitely recommend Pitman training to anybody wishing to upskill or change career direction.

I've booked AAT lvl 4 - sales person was amazing - I was told I'll get:
- Videos and webinars
- Really good tutor support
- Really good study materials
- Guaranteed pass - basically they'll make sure I'm ready for the exam before I book it.

What I got:
- 1 Webinar on one subject, no other tutorial videos or webinars - they do have few 2-3 min cartoonish silly, very cringy, old-fashioned clips with very annoying background music - they don't bring anything to the study as they cover one paragraph from the book- so totally useless.

- Tutor - I've asked questions, and answers I got were references to the book - when I asked for further explanation or workings on some tasks - I was given book answers, no workings - I've asked again for workings and explaining mine - same answer from the tutor - what's in the book. Gives you the idea that the tutor doesn't know the calculations. I've given up with asking questions.

- I was given Osborne Books - you can just buy them yourself. Very little additional information on the online portal. With additional units - it literally gives you a link to the book which chapter to read and you get another 2 min cringy animated clip. I cannot see any point in that at all. I can read the book myself - I don't need to be told read chapter 1 and then 2 and after 3.........I think people can manage that much.

- Nobody is interested how I get on, if I study at all. Only one person from Leicester centre was in touch to check up. For my first exam I've asked the tutor if she thinks I'm ready - she said - "up to you - book it if you feel like it"

To get though this level I've used additional materials from another training provider (basically paying twice for the same course) with tutorial videos and further explanations with resources written by tutors - explaining subject in far more detail and in a more approachable way (Osborne books are sometimes difficult to understand - at least for me. They are good but having something extra is very helpful - which I got from another training provider). I've asked my tutor for something extra and I was told it's not her job.... After this I just stopped asking questions.

If the course cost was about £1,000 - preferably below - that would be ok, but the price was over £2,000 - which for what you get is far too much.

Edit: I've had a phone call from Pitman - I was told that tutor is not part of Pitman. They are outsourced and that should have been explained ...... I've checked email from the tutor - They use Pitman email and signature, so very strange that Pitman says they have no responsibility over the quality of support provided. Why then tutor uses Pitman brand name and why Pitman is selling it and charging for support if they have take no responsibility for it ?

I went with my wife for her Life in the UK test. We found the staff very unfriendly. I had to wait outside and when I went in to use the toilet, an obnoxious woman told me I shouldn't have used it as it wasn't a public convenience. There was no other option. Unbelievably rude.
