Worst service we have ever experienced in Dunedin. Waited nearly an hour for food after ordering with no updates on delays, had to ask twice when food was due. Extremely unfriendly staff, never asked us for drinks refills when clearly it glasses were empty.

Practice Plus Southampton. Appointment was quick, consultant delightful. Trying to get x-rays/results of x-rays for my GP proved an impossibility and I gave up to be honest, this meant I had to have a second lot of X-rays on the NHS. This was unnecessary expense to the nhs & personally unnecessary for my own health. I’m not sure I’d use them again.

I had a TKR three months ago. From the preliminary appointments to pre and post surgery every member of the team was so welcoming, friendly, and comforting making what could have been a traumatic experience, oddly pleasant!
Also I have recovered much faster than friends who had surgery elsewhere. I’m now walking 5 miles most days.
I highly recommend Shepton Mallet Hospital
and Mr Kink is an exceptional surgeon!

3 Months ago I had a TKR. From the initial phone call I had a consultation within 2weeks and surgery within a month. Private patients need no referral.
Everything went to plan with one overnight stay. I was well looked after in a room for two people. I can't find fault with any of this. After that it's very important to follow the physiotherapy guidance. The more effort you make the
better the outcomes but don't rush
things. Follow up appointments included a consultation and several for physiotherapy therapy. 3 months in now and hitting the gym to get strength and fitness back. (Mark age 66).

EXCELLENT
Cataract referral by optician. Appointment for pre-op assessment after a week and first eye being done a week later. My wife has also recently had both eyes done and service has been equally excellent.

Sent back to practice plus today . That I have had the scan for the operation that they did for me a few months ago . The NHS Consultant told me he would send the report back to my Doctor .
Ha showed me on the screen that the Hernia was still present and further surgery would be needed . As promised I will put the full report on this page when I have it from the doctor. Practice plus only care about profit over patients health as I have waited 9 weeks to get a scan on the NHS as they refused to pay for a scan local to where I live . Please please donot use thier services just look at all the reviews on Trust point and other sites . I paid privately as they were the cheapest what’s the old saying buy cheap pay twice . The NHS use this company as they are the cheapest in their field . I’ve asked practice plus to allow me to put their letter to me on this site ( private and confidential) still waiting their authority I wouldn’t hold my breath. Awaiting a phone call from the Managing director to discuss my absolute diabolical service I Received by them .again I wouldn’t hold my breath.
I’ve had the result of the scan from the NHS I note the patient has a recent right inguinal hernia repair. At the medial margin of the hernia approximate at the level of superficial inguinal ring.
There is a recurrent hernia containing omentum .
The hernia is reducible and becomes prominent on doing the valsalva manoeuvre.

I had cataract surgery yesterday at the Practise Plus clinic in Rochdale.
I was a private patient.
Appointment was for 10am.
Was not seen until 10.20.
I had drops in my eye at10.37, but surgery was not carried out until noon.
No problem with the surgery or the staff,in fact very good.
BUT! I was not advised when seeing the surgeon that private patients are mixed in with NHS patients!.
So ,even though I was paying nearly £6k for the privilege I had to wait with everyone else.
I thought private patients would be seen on a different day, and would be in and out quickly.
Had I known this,I would not of booked with them.
I have a cousin who is in need of cataract surgery,and on hearing of my experience has booked elsewhere.
So.no complaints at all about the staff.
Be aware if you book with them.

Attended an interview at High Wycombe centre. Due to the receptionist failing to inform the interviewers, I was kept waiting 30 minutes.
I thought the interview had gone well, I was given a tour of the offices and introduced to a few people. Copies of my passport and ID documents were taken by one of the interviewers.
Almost one month later, Practice Plus has not followed up with interview feedback, despite my contacting them three times for feedback.
Many would class this as rude of Practice Plus.

Massive thanks to Michael at Emerson's Green Bristol Hospital in the booking department. He was the ultimate professional but with a wonderful human side. It was an emotional time for me, booking a potentially life changing appointment and he just made me feel so at ease and just treated me like a person rather than just a number. He explained everything and was very patient with me. This man needs a good pay rise,he is a credit to the team at the hospital. The staff were excellent and so friendly. The only problem was I had a message informing me I had an appointment but no details what it was for and as I was waiting for another appointment as well I was unsure what this one was for.

In order to try and cut NHS waiting lists I decided to have a prostate MRI done at the Shepton Mallet clinic. When presented to my consultant he told me that the quality was not good enough to be of use and arranged for me to have an NHS one.
I got a letter to this effect from the consultant and presented it to the clinic. After several email and calls they told me that after review they had decided to stop doing this type of scan and would refund my money. However, it has since taken many weeks, emails and phone calls to get that refund.
I won't be using them again.

Hip Replacement.
Consultation was very good. The staff were very atentive. Process could be better. Once I confirmed I would like to proceed had to make another appointment for pre operation with nurse and anesthetist.
This will be in 4 weeks with op 4 to 6 weeks later.
They advertise op 4 to 6 weeks after seeing in the consultant. This is 8 to 10 weeks. Hence 4 stars rather than 5

Had gynae surgery on NHS with Mr Dartey. Excellent experience from start to finish. Felt very safe and cared for. Mr Dartey makes you feel really at ease. The hospital is clean and modern and the staff are absolutely excellent. Appointments were always on time - never and waiting. My results from the surgery are better than I could have hoped for. Highly recommended.

The clinical staff and support staff were Very helpful and attentive, could not do enough for you,I had a total knee replacement and couldn't not fault them , I would of given 5 but the catering let them down.
Several times got order. wrong and being served on paper plates.was a let down If they food on proper plates food would of tasted better .

Had my knee surgery on 5th July 2024 at Emmerson Green hospital in Bristol staff were lovely. Woke up couldn't have wished for 2 nicer ladies who got me pain relief and when I was ready sent me down stairs to recoup before going home I was told I would be given more pain relief down there if I needed it and that the surgeon would come to see me before I went home. I was met by 2 miserable ladies who asked if I wanted a tea or coffee and a basket of biscuits were put in front of me and that was it until they came back and asked who was taking me home and where were they? I called my husband who came straight up stairs whilst one of the nurses handed me a letter and told me I could go home.
So I went home on the Letter it said I would be contacted Saturday or Monday to see how I was ( I was not contacted) and also I was told I would have a follow up appointment in 6 weeks. It's now been 6 1/2 weeks and I've called them. My knee is swollen and sore. They apologised on the phone and gave an appointment for 6th September some 9 weeks after my surgery. I thought I might have slipped through the net but after reading some of the reviews it seems like a regular accurance.

I had a successful hip replacement at Emersons Green at the end of June. Everyone from the initial consultation to discharge the following day, and the telephone aftercare checks were thorough, courteous and helpful and I am very grateful. I would have no hesitation in having treatment there again.

Was booked in for a ACL reconstruction 12th August.. It was then cancelled whilst I was waiting to go for surgery and I was sent home.
I now have to wait 4-5 days to be told a new date for the surgery.
As a self employed trade man who went private to avoid NHS wait times / cancellations, seems like it has just been false promises from the practice plus team.
