My dog has been fussy around food for a long time so after a friend recommended them, I tried ProDog.
My dog took to it straight away. The information that comes with the food and their online page was reassuring as I made the switch to raw food from dried as there were some temporary changes in the stools!
After a few weeks, my dog started to back away from the food and started to refuse it. I reached out to Caroline, ProDogs dog behaviourist who gave me some advice to try.
I was admittedly a bit dubious but lo and behold, my dog was, and is eating again with gusto!!
The follow up call from Caroline was very reassuring that my dog is completely normal.
I couldn’t recommend ProDog enough. The food is fresh and there is a good variety of flavours to keep it interesting.

Highly recommended ProDog Raw
Highly recommended ProDog Raw. I wouldn’t feed by dogs anything else. Really good customer service and communication. I had a problem with a delivery, which was the delivery company’s fault and it was sorted really quickly.

Food arrived defrosted
Not only did the food arrive defrosted to the point I could stick my finger all the way through the mince, but I was then interrogated as to whether it was still cool and how cool or warm it was.
There was one measly ice pack in the box, nothing on the top or base to keep the cold in (subsequently the top and bottom cartons were fully defrosted).
The customer support advised me they pack orders to stay usable for 60 hours… I guess that’s when we’re experiencing freezing temperatures as opposed to nearly 30 degrees heat.
Is caution other customers to be careful or have a thermometer to hand as food shouldn’t be kept at 4 degrees for more than 2 hours.
A raw food company should do better than this.
To top it off this was the second batch, the first batch got lost by DHL - to be fair pro dog sent another batch out but this is the batch that turned up partially defrosted.

We’re also sorry if our questions about the temperature of the food felt like an interrogation. That certainly wasn’t our intention. We only ask whether the food is cold or cool to the touch, and how it feels on arrival, because our support team are following our food safety protocol to help establish the condition of the food when it arrives and advise you appropriately. We apologise if this came across differently to you.
We appreciate your concerns regarding the packaging and the exceptionally warm weather. Our packaging and ice packs are designed to protect the food during transit, but we recognise that periods of very high temperatures can present additional challenges, particularly if a parcel is delayed in the courier network.
We’re pleased that we were able to resend your order after the initial parcel was lost by DHL, although we’re disappointed that the replacement delivery did not arrive in the condition you expected. We will take your comments regarding the packaging and delivery experience on board and continue to raise concerns with our courier where appropriate.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We’re sorry that your experience fell short of the standard we aim to provide, and we hope that the resolution provided in this matter has been satisfactory for you.

Only care about new customers not there bread and butter (regular customers)
Have been getting my dog food from here for 2 and a half years first started when my dog was 8 weeks old started on puppy food then moved on to adult food (was on subscription of a mixed bundle) decided I wanted to try the chubs as they are a little bit cheaper and was not as much plastic it’s insane how many plastic tubs I have had in the last 2.6 years it’s crazy you can not send them bk to the company tbh! Anyway see you could order a sample pack of the chubs tried to do so it came bk saying I couldn’t I messaged them got an AI response, I explained why I wanted to get a sample pack and was told I’d get an email from a human, got an email bk asking why I wanted to try them told them why and was told iv had a sample pack of the tubs b4 so wasn’t able to have a sample pack of the cubs…companies should want to help and keeps regular customers happy..clearly not this one was told to add on a couple of chubbs to my next order to see if my dog liked them, not happy really would of thought you would of allowed a customer for that long to try the sample pack! Any ways I have now ordered from a new brand and won’t be buying from here again! If you can not look after regular customers il spend my money else where!

Our sample packs are designed to give first-time customers the opportunity to try our food and find out which recipes work best for their dog. As they're a one-time introductory offer, they're limited to one per household.
We see that you were looking to just try the chubs & this is why our nutritionist suggested adding a single chub to your next order. As your request was to try an additional product we wouldn't be able to send a second sample pack. Adding an individual chub is the simplest and most cost-effective way to try a new recipe.
We absolutely do value our existing customers, which is why we offer our rewards points program, subscription discounts, and a range of heavily discounted bundles to help make feeding as affordable as possible.
I hope this helps explain our sample pack policy.

I used Prodogs online help for nutritional advice
I used Prodogs online help for nutritional advice for my 14 month old GSD with allergies. I was contacted within a few days by Alison whom I found to be extremely helpful and offered good advice and guidance. It was decided that we wait to start the switch to raw until my boy has finished a course of tablets. I would definitely recommend this service if you are unsure about switching.

Great company that always pulls through
I have read some of the reviews here and while I understand we have had a heatwave, I also urge people to speak to ProDog Raw in the first instance as their customer service is amazing and they will always put things right. Whether that is defrosted food, delayed deliveries or anything else.
I truly can’t fault this company. Although DHL have messed up several times and delayed deliveries or pretended to attempted delivery and then did not, ProDog Raw have always pulled through and replaced this for me.
I get my regular deliveries from them as well as little treats.
The only thing I could recommend is maybe considering another delivery service, as DHL appears a let down but nevertheless, 5*.

Food was defrosted when it arrived a day later than requested.
Not the first time it’s been sat on a DHL van for over 8 hours in 30+ degree heat.

Prodog Raw are a very good business and have been with them for years.My three retrievers love their food. I recently had an issue with my card ( nothing to do with prodog) and once I'd sorted it out I was able to get my subscription back on track and it was delivered the next day,

Free Advice with feeding expert
I contacted ProDog Raw to request a free consultation with a feeding expert. I was contacted by email the next day by Alison who asked me specific questions about my current feeding/medicine/supplements. From this information Alison was able to give me advice on how I can help my dogs skin conditions. At no point did I feel pressured to buy ProDog products. I have now ordered Reset and will follow Alisons advice which will hopefully help. Great service from Alison at ProDog. I would fully recommend this company.

EDIT: Faith restored. Company responded following my feedback and put things right. Thank you.
Long-standing customers. Good service til now. We received an order just within the 60 hours, but it was 24 hours late due to failed delivery the previous day (driver issue not us). The food in the van all this time during a 30 plus degree heatwave. I checked the order with the delivery driver. We agreed together it was completely defrosted. Delivery driver took a pic, recorded a return, and took food away. We informed Prodog and asked for new delivery. Prodog refused because we did not have our own photo/video evidence. We ordered £120 worth of frozen food (6 week supply). We received defrosted food. I tried to explain. They reiterated it was our loss. I will never buy food from Pro Dog Raw again.

As discussed during our correspondence, DHL do not have the authority to decide whether an order should be returned without first contacting us. We do ask customers to contact us as soon as possible if there are any delivery issues, as outlined on the packing slip included with every order, so we can assess the situation and provide the appropriate support.
