Pro Dog always keep you updated with orders. During the recent hot spell when deliveries were affected, Pro Dog kept you up to date. I phoned and left a message on their answer machine. My return call was dealt with swiftly I received a message within 10 mins of calling them. My query was answered. On an another massive plus, my 2 fur babies absolutely love their Pro Dog meals.

ProdogRaw are superb!
ProdogRaw are superb! Not only do they provide good quality, nutritious raw dog food but they provide such helpful information and advice if you need it. Deliveries are well organised and their customer support is excellent! We are new puppy owners, with no experience of raw dog food and have asked them for advice about food quantities, diet issues and our puppy’s behaviour. Their nutritionist and behaviour expert came back quickly with help and kept checking how things were going, all free of charge. I can’t praise them enough! Their food is reasonably priced comparatively but the free extra advice is worth so much more. You must give them a try, you won’t regret it I’m sure.

Subscription Customers Left Carrying the Cost
I have been a ProDog Raw subscription customer for some time because I rely on the service to provide a regular and reliable supply of food for my dog.
During the recent hot weather, ProDog Raw made the decision to suspend deliveries due to concerns about maintaining food quality during transit. I completely understand the importance of food safety and appreciate that the weather is outside of anyone's control. However, what I find unfair is that the impact of this decision fell almost entirely on customers.
I was given less than 48 hours' notice that my subscription order would not be delivered, despite payment already having been taken. This left me scrambling to source alternative food at short notice to avoid running out. In my case, 10 days worth of replacement food cost £45, whereas my normal ProDog Raw subscription costs around £52 for 33 Days
Customer service was polite, responsive and transparent throughout, and I did receive a refund for the undelivered order. However, that refund does not address the significant additional cost and inconvenience caused by the cancellation.
What is particularly frustrating is that other raw food suppliers appear to have invested in solutions that allow them to continue delivering during hot weather, including enhanced insulated packaging, polystyrene shipping boxes and temperature-monitoring devices that track conditions throughout transit. ProDog Raw's approach appears to be to stop deliveries altogether when temperatures reach a certain point.
If a company chooses not to invest in measures that would allow deliveries to continue safely during foreseeable weather conditions, then the burden ultimately falls on customers who are left to find alternatives, often at much higher cost and with very little warning.
I appreciate that ProDog Raw prioritised product quality, but as a subscription customer I expected a more reliable service and better contingency planning. A subscription should provide confidence that your pet's food supply is secure, not leave you worrying about how you will feed your dog with less than a day's notice.

We fully appreciate that, as a subscription customer, you rely on us to provide a regular and dependable supply of food for your dog, and we understand the difficulties that arose when your order could not be delivered as planned.
The decision to suspend deliveries was not taken lightly. As a raw pet food manufacturer, we have a responsibility to ensure products reach customers in a safe condition and maintain the high standards of quality we expect. When temperatures reached levels that created concerns about the integrity of products during transit, we felt it was the responsible course of action to temporarily pause shipments.
While we appreciate your comments regarding alternative packaging and temperature-monitoring solutions, it's worth noting that a number of raw feeding companies across the industry also chose to suspend deliveries during the same period due to the extreme conditions. Different businesses have different logistics networks, packaging systems and risk assessments, and there is no single approach adopted by all suppliers.
We understand that receiving short notice of a delivery suspension was disappointing, particularly after payment had already been taken. Wherever customers requested refunds for affected orders, these were processed promptly, including in your case. While we recognise that a refund cannot remove the inconvenience of sourcing alternative food at short notice, we felt it was important that customers were not left out of pocket for orders we were unable to fulfil.
We are pleased to hear that you found our customer service team polite, responsive and transparent throughout the process. We will also take on board your feedback regarding contingency planning and communication, particularly for subscription customers who understandably expect a reliable and consistent service.
Our intention was never to transfer the burden onto customers, but rather to avoid the risk of raw food arriving in anything less than optimal condition. We appreciate your feedback and will continue reviewing our processes to ensure we balance product safety, service reliability and customer expectations as effectively as possible in future periods of extreme weather.

An edited version of my previous review; Their product is very good - I have been buying it for years now. The issue I had was with a delivery that never arrived but according to the courier (DHL) it had been delivered. Now these things happen from time to time, and my gripe was with the lack of communication from ProDog Raw having left multiple messages about my non delivery. This has now been addressed and I am very satisfied with the outcome - just a shame it took as long as it did... So, to summarise; I thoroughly recommend the ProDog Raw product but please when a customer has a delivery issue, prioritise it as it leaves the customer feeling let down when there's no communication.

What a service!
My dog has recently been diagnosed with kidney disease. I have always fed raw food, and have used ProDog Raw in the past. I reached out to the Customer Service team to ask if the ProDog Raw food would be suitable for my dog Daisy, who must be on a restricted diet due to her condition.
Alison from the Support Team went way over and above in answering my query, offering all sorts of information on the requirements and reasons for them for Daisy. There was no hard sell, just lots of really useful information. I am very grateful to Alison for her advice and recommendations.
When I have purchased ProDog Raw in the past it was really easy to order the selection I wanted, the delivery service was excellent, sending the food well packed and fully frozen. Daisy loved the food. So many varieties, and now she will be able to have it again as they do a low phosphorus food ideal for dogs with kidney problems.

We understand how frustrating and inconvenient this must have been, especially as you have to arranged for someone to be available to help with the delivery.
One of our senior customer service operatives responded to your email that morning with advice and guidelines regarding if your parcel arriving slightly defrosted, however we appreciate this does not make up for the lack of delivery updates and the stress caused by the delay. We do aim for delivery on day 1 but some can be delayed until day two as stated in our terms and conditions, but will still be frozen or chilled.
We will be contacting the courier directly to investigate why tracking details were not updated for the second day of delivery. We also apologise that you were unable to get through to us by phone straight away. Some days our customer service experiences exceptionally high volumes of calls and messages and being a team of two we try our utmost to reply same day, but can take up to 24 hours, we do always encourage customers to email us as well, as we aim to respond as quickly as possible.
We genuinely appreciate your feedback and are sorry that your first experience was not a positive one. We had hoped to welcome you as a long-term customer and would love the opportunity to restore your confidence in us.

Have been feeding this to my dogs for a number of years. My current dogs and past dogs. It's one of the best for quality. Customer services are great and very quick to respond if ever there is an issue with anything including website issues. My dogs absolutely thrive on it, competing in dog sports throughout the year, and look amazingly healthy which they are. You can tell just by looking at them what they are not fed! I have recommended to others who noe feed their dogs the same. Highly recommended

Stay well clear i ordered for 4 months 200 to 250 a month everytime there cheap website wouldn't allow you to sign in I ordered to my address same billing as delivery and on the 7th order they sent it to a totally different postcode and DHL rang me when they were 5 mins from my address saying they cant deliver cause wrong postcode asa a disabled member of the community I have to have all food dog food etc delivered twice a month and I struggle to make ends meat it was a bank holiday and they didnt deliver it which left me with £7 to last me 9 days and no dog food as I spoke to the manager Frank who refused to give his surname bit strange and he flat refused to do anything for me saying it was my fault I must of put postcode in wrong even though I have lived here for 6 years and before that was a totally different postcode so the are thieves they have my £80 and I have no dog food

After reviewing your account, we can see that the order in question was placed as a guest order rather than through a registered subscription account.
When orders are placed as a guest checkout, the system does not retain your address details from previous purchases, unlike subscription or registered accounts where delivery information is securely stored for future orders. This means the delivery details, including the postcode, need to be entered manually each time a guest order is placed.
We understand how frustrating and stressful this situation was, particularly over a bank holiday and given the circumstances you described. However, the parcel was dispatched using the postcode entered at checkout, which unfortunately did not match your delivery area, and this prevented DHL from completing the delivery.
Our intention is always to help where possible.For future orders, we would strongly recommend creating a registered account or subscription profile, as this stores your address details securely and helps reduce the risk of manual entry errors during checkout. Or do contact us and we can sort a manual order for you from our end.
