Annoying. The pop-up windows are just where I'm typing. The red lines appear everywhere. Grammarly is a more intuitive, more comprehensive, more helpful app by far.

I'm a storywriter and I use ProWritingAid to edit. I think it comes in handy (I use the free function). The only thing that bothers me is that the experience is not the same as the paid version and that some things don't work with the free version.
A recommendation, add a search bar, so when people don't know where to find something, they can search it up and find it faster

This is a rather incompetent tool that made considerably more errors with its suggestions than it fixed. It has no awareness of dialogue or context.

It tries to force gender neutral language even when specifically referring to a man or woman.

Despite setting it to British English, it still tries to force American spelling and grammar conventions.

I dislike that different age groups might receive incorrect advice. If I had to rate it out of ten, I would give it a ten out of ten. I also dislike that I always get the impression that only paying users can see that I'm using it for free, and I don't like that.

This is a great system that has really helped my writing process.

I write novels and short stories. I am a retired biochemist and have poor literary skills and can't spell worth a hoot. PWA means everything to me, and without it, I could not produce an acceptable story. I wish the critique would cover 10,000 words not just 6,000. Overall PWA does a remarkable job. Barry Starcher

I like the interfacing. It's relatively easy to navigate and the tools are very helpful! I enjoy being able to run reports. My favorite features are the community based forums, calls, and events.

So, far it's been helpful, but it isn't the one-stop shop that I was led to believe this software could be.

My only issue with this is the recommendation for the premium version. I understand it's advertising, and that's fine, but it does feel invasive when on your actual writing. Having the advertisement in the actual pro-writing aid menu is great! But it would be nice just to have the edits I can use without having to use focus mode :D

perfect makes my work so much better. I am a teenager, so i don't have an editor but this website makes me think editors are a waste of money. The readability it increases is insane and i can check a lot of stuff sometimes when i cant write a sentence rephrase saves my life.

I like how easy it is to get reports done on your writing. The only negative problem is that it likes to lose my chapters. I am using the free plan, which helps with some things. But if you want to do more, then I recommend getting either the Pro or the plan after that.

The product borders on being unusable. If you are a creative writer, it's best to use a different tool. Their "non-AI" writing tools are just...AI tools that offer very basic, mundane suggestions. In the past, I found the tool more useful but now I prefer to use others. Scrivener and EmberWrite are much better for writers.

I love the recommendations and mistakes it points out. The suggestions are structured and clear, easy to understand or dismiss if needed.

I write a lot of stories, scripts, and much more, and this extension/app saved a lot of my time correcting my mistakes and rephrasing stuff... the only thing I don't like is that I only get 10 rephrases for a day... I'm not saying to make it completely free, just at least give 15-20 rephrases a day.

Works great on most sites, but on some it doesn't work at all, even when it used to work.

Sometimes it gives "corrections" that aren't correct at all.
Perhaps a feature to mark a suggestion as incorrect would be useful.

My experience with customer service has been quick, helpful, and polite.
