I am writing this as a serious matter of prospective consumer protection.

Respectfully, it will not be unexpected for them to respond with further dishonesty, stating things that are indisputably factually incorrect and contrary to reality.

I bought a gift, and it arrived so damaged that it was actually embarrassing. The recipient thought it was a prank. What is particularly galling is that, when I challenged this with the shockingly awful man in the customer service team, he proceeded to make an unsolicited call to the recipient. This is an egregious violation of long-standing GDPR legislation and was wholly inappropriate. During the call, he proceeded to bad-mouth me and behave in an intimidatory manner towards the recipient.

This has been a customer journey unlike any other, and you cannot go beyond ground zero and I say this without hesitation and or fear that they have somehow managed to go even lower.

This business has refused to refund the money. They have shown no remorse or humility in their reply; instead, they appear beyond help and do not understand the meaning of honesty. What they are clearly fluent in is dishonesty and scamming—so much so that they could have written the book on it!

Avoid them, and do not hesitate to do so. The only time you would want to approach them is if you actually intend to purchase a prank gift or want to experience what it feels like to be scammed.

There are much better alternatives, such as Lola’s Bakery, who have always been consistently excellent without effort.

Fantastic service from start to finish; have just ordered the sixth box in one week.

The cupcakes look amazing, taste delicious and are well presented. Ordering is easy and delivery has been right on time.

They are making a great impression with our customers. Highly recommend!

What a disaster the whole experience has been. Two orders placed for delivery to friends and colleagues in two locations.
First order delivered but stated "left in back porch" the location was a shop with no back porch so had to ring the recipient to confirm cakes had been delivered to the shop. Following the order I received an email saying "ADAM" did the order arrive. Well my name is not Adam, Adam was the recipient!
Second order, Rachaels Kitchen merged my address from where I placed the order with the delivery addresss in Durham. When I received an email telling me it would be delivered to my address not the recipients I rang. After some reluctance the indivual I spoke with called Kevin agreed to have the delivery address changed but would mean the cakes would arrive a day than requested. Reluctantly I agreed. on the new date I recevied a note saying the dlivery would be delayed a further day at which point the recipients would not be at the holiday rental. I asked for a refund but that was a big NO!
I will not be using Rachaels Kitchen again EVER

Spectacular ! (From my 7 year old)

Due to being delivered 4 days before Birthday ( the nearest delivery option available) the pretzels on the cupcakes had gone soft. All the cupcakes were way too sweet too and tasted very factory-made. Delivery and presentation was great. I was really disappointed

Great choice of cakes. I was slightly worried about delivery but I didn’t need to as they arrived on time and well packaged and the cakes were in perfect condition.

I live in Africa, and my friend's birthday was in Scotland, UK. I decided to order cupcakes from Rachael's Kitchen, and I'm so glad I did!

The cupcakes were absolutely amazing, and they looked even better in real life than they did in the photos. The packaging was beautifully presented and securely sealed, ensuring everything arrived in perfect condition.

We ordered a box of 12 Vegan cakes. They were beautifully presented in a box with ribbon and inside was the gift note we had asked for. Half of the cakes had a photo top which was great.
The cakes were for a 16 year old but one of the parents is vegan for medical reasons and we were concerned about the taste - but we needn’t have worried as they were delicious.

Cakes may well have started off lovely but by the time they arrived they’d been bashed about by the courier. Thankfully it was mainly children at the party and they didn’t really notice but I would have been embarrassed if it had been for adults. Appreciate the couriers attention to detail is out of their control but my email of complaint has been ignored. I won’t be using again.

Disappointing service I’m afraid.
Can’t comment on if the recipient enjoyed the cupcakes as they’ve not been delivered.
Apparently the courier company (APC Overnight Couriers) have a person off sick and can not deliver them on my “preferred delivery day” and that is not the fault of Rachael’s Kitchen.
However, my contract is with Rachael’s Kitchen and if they choose to use a courier company that fails, I’m afraid that means Rachael’s Kitchen has failed.
After a couple of emails they have reluctantly said they’ll refund the £6.95 delivery charge, however, as they’ve made the cupcakes and sent them, they are unwilling to take any further responsibility or provide any other refund or gesture of goodwill.
In the mean time I’ve had alternative cupcakes delivered same day from a local company. (I know I should have chosen local in the first place).
Don’t believe the 4.7 experience review score like I did.
If it goes wrong, I’m afraid Rachael’s Kitchen don’t care. 🙁

I had recently ordered mermaid themed cupcakes for my daughter's 5th birthday party. It was a huge hit in the party, everyone loved the design and the taste. Packing was great and came a day before the party. Thank you so much!

Lovely cakes,packaged really well with cooler and protection so they didnt gwt damaged.quick delivery on date requested,fresh,tasty and beautifully presented

Cupcakes ordered for my bosses birthday were lovely, delivered all in one piece! And I was told - were very tasty!

I’ve used this company quite a few times. Great for sending a treat for a birthday etc when you can’t be with the person - packaging is beautiful too. And the cakes of course !

Cakes always lovely. Concerned about delivery. DPD delivered cakes to my friend at 6.30 in the evening having had the cakes in a van all day. I don’t find this acceptable and you need to consider your delivery options.

Ordered as a birthday gift for a special friend. Easy to order and arrived when expected. My friend was so pleased with her surprise. The cupcakes were beautifully made and presented. Thank you

Requested delivery for 4th June for an event on 5th June in NI. Were not delivered. Spoke to DPD they couldn't change anything. Sent 2 emails to company, and tried their online customer service to ask for support - no reply to emails. Have requested a refund.
