Qulaity goods and excellent, very professional service from the RAC patrolman

I'm so glad I chose to have the RAC engineer fit my Thinkware U1000 front & rear dash cams; I would have never managed it myself and done such an incredibly neat job. The demonstration he gave that followed was most helpful too. I've had the cameras for a while now and I'm very pleased with my choice. The video recordings are of exceptional quality and easily processed with the use of the accompanying app.

RAC representative arrived in the prescribed slot, with the correct battery, fitted it and kept me informed of all the relevant information. He kept a temporary battery feed connected to the car to avoid the loss of the key code for the car.

Around a year ago I purchased some car mats from RAC shop as they were good value for the right ones. The mats were lovely quality and have lasted well to this point. Would totally recommend buying from RAC.

I needed a new car battery promptly, the friendly mechanic arrived promptly and did a great job fitting and testing the new battery. Very satisfied with the service.

The battery ordered wasn't delivered and there were systems issues between the online experience and what the RAC fitter had on his van. He was good, overall experience positive but there are definite holes in the system!

I ordered a new battery with home fitting from RAC shop. The man turned up on time and after checking the readings on the old battery fitted the new one in a matter of minutes. He checked that everything was working ok and that was it. The fitter was polite and friendly and the whole process was hassle free. Recommended.

RAC did the service on my driveway which was very convenient. The engineer was knowledgeable. The only downside was they didnt update my car system to say that the service had been completed so my car still shows that service is due.

Ordered some mats for my Ioniq EV, come within a few days, perfect fit and look great.

Having paid RAC yearly for our driving experience from day one through to today, we wanted the quality and insurance the RAC provides. As a member we received our battery at a reduced price.

Helpful staff. Fitted new battery, took old one away and made sure everything was working before leaving.

Purchased my choice of battery, booked fitting and all went well. Turned up on time, had to take some bits off to access the battery, swapped them air and replaced bits taken off. All good.

Absolutely awful experience. Sold wrong battery after entering reg and then charged more on site. Having to sort the refund myself, only to be offered a part refund as a result of RAC’s incompetence. Use another provider as RAC shop is awful.

Our car wouldn’t start and we had an urgent need to get it fixed.

Went on website to book a battery replacement service. After entering my reg chose a battery from the ones that were available and ‘compatible’ and booked in the service for around £250.

Called by patrol a few hours later to let me know they were on there way only to be told that the battery was incompatible and as a result I’ll need to pay more for a compatible battery (he couldn’t refund me for the original) alone once he arrived. At which point we’d waited for the service for around 4 hours so needed it sorted asap - felt I had no choice but to purchase and resolve later. Once he arrived I was told it would be a further £255. Now £505 out of pocket.

Contacted RAC after it had been installed to sort a refund and get some of my money back. only to be told that they couldn’t do anything and to contact another email. After emailing and explaining the experience they refunded me £202, leaving me to pay the original call out charge of £45. So I booked a service for £245, what I actually ended up paying was £302.99 as a result of RAC failures.

Had this cost been apparent when I was booking the service I would have definitely gone with another, cheaper provider.

I feel completely taken advantage of. I’ve contacted 3 different departments so far to get this resolved.

In response to the below –I will but I contacted that email initially - and was told they couldn't do anything. I've since been directed to 2 other emails and now back to this one.

Needed a replacement car battery. Impressed to find out RAC not only supply at a discount for members, but also fit on site, within the given time frame.
Excellent service.
