Hi I have taken the car from here It is the worst experience I have gotten here I took the car for 2 days after that I asked for an extension and they said the price is double then I return the car in 2 days then I came back after that I have called from deposit amount I have recived deposit amount after 40 days and the amount was not 1000 Aed it's was less then I asked why you deduct he said me you use car for 3 days I said brother i have return car in 2 days then after some time he replied to me you did extra kilometres and the almost deduct was 400 AED Then he said you deliver car 2 hrs delay so I will count you as 1 day and then I asked her sales department that for 2 hrs you will deduct for 1 day then they say they will refund and know they are playing with me he is saying that from sales department and accounts department , this is my worst experience that and you will not reply in 1 hr or 2 hrs it will take time for just reply for 1 day or half day , while you want to book car you will get instant reply , this was my experience here its upto you decide that

I strongly advise against renting from Houston Rent A Car (Al Jaddaf, Dubai) and its affiliate Moosa Rent A Car. These companies engage in deceptive practices, illegal charges, and outright theft of customer deposits. Here’s what happened:

1. Dual Company Scam
- Rented through Houston Rent A Car , but contract/receipts were issued under Moosa Rent A Car a clear red flag.
- Switched names upon return, suggesting they operate this way to avoid accountability.

2. Illegal Deductions & VAT Fraud
- Refundable security deposit was stolen under fake charges:
- "Cleaning fee" (car was spotless).
- Duplicate "Salik toll charges" (already paid).
- Made-up "admin fee" (not in contract).
- Illegally charged 5% VAT on the deposit (refundable deposits are exempt from VAT by UAE law).

3. Deliberate Avoidance & Blocking
- Ignored all calls/messages when requested for a refund.
- Blocked my number when they realized I was following up—proving they know their actions are wrong.

4. No Transparency, No Ethics
- No valid reason given for withholding money.
- No proper documentation for deductions.
- Pattern of scamming customers who trust them.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Houston Rent A Car in Al Jaddaf, which operates under the registered name Moosa Rent A Car in Ajman. The company demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and commitment, both from the management and staff.

They collected a 1,000 AED security deposit, which was supposed to be refunded within 30 days. It has now been 41 days, and I have yet to receive the refund. Despite repeated follow-ups through calls and WhatsApp, I’ve received no response or support.

Eventually, they sent me an Excel screenshot showing deductions from my deposit but have failed to provide any actual proof or justification for these charges. Due to this lack of transparency and accountability, I’ve filed a formal complaint with the Ajman Consumer Rights Department and hope they will assist in resolving this matter and securing a proper refund with supporting documentation.

I strongly advise others to avoid renting from this company.

If there is less than one star i am going to give because they deserve zero. They don't have customer service at all. i am trying to get my deposit over 3 months now and i get nothing. They do all business on Whatsapp, no office listed, and when you try to recover your deposit you will suffer. I am going to complain to police now.

I had a terrible experience with Moosa Rent A Car, and I want to warn others. This company shows zero commitment from both management and staff. They took a 1,000 AED security deposit and refused to return it—even after several follow-ups—until I finally filed a complaint with the Ajman Consumer Rights Department. Thankfully, the authorities acted quickly, and I received my deposit within a day after their intervention.

Some key issues I faced:

Unethical Practices: They operate under multiple names, which seems to be their modus operandi to avoid accountability.

Unfair Terms: When signing the rental contract, they clearly stated I would be charged 177 AED per day for any delay in returning the car. Yet they delayed returning my deposit by over 11 days.

Poor Reviews Everywhere: I later checked online reviews and saw that many others had similar bad experiences with Moosa Rent A Car.

Since they are licensed under the Ajman Department of Economic Development, complaints must be submitted there. I have also requested that their license be revoked to prevent others from going through the same ordeal.

My advice: Avoid Moosa Rent A Car and always check online reviews before renting any vehicle in the UAE.

This company do not answer, ignore and take your money. I will be reporting them to officials.

Good rent a car service was also good and clean car with good price

I kindly request the UAE government to take action against this company, as it reflects a bad image of the UAE. They are a group of thieves who always try to evade paying the deposit amount. In any case, I have submitted a consumer complaint, and I hope it will be effective.

I don't have words to describe regarding the service of moosa rent a car ,they are absolutely a disgrace .they do not deliver what they say especially when it comes to refund of deposit .noby attends to your call or what's up or your email. Please do not waste your time and money with these good for nothing jokers.. stay away from them ..

I rented a car from Al Moosa Rent-a-Car due to their competitive prices, but the experience turned out to be frustrating. While the rental process was smooth, getting my security deposit refunded was a nightmare. They ignored my follow-ups, redirected me to multiple departments, and only responded after I mentioned filing a complaint with DED and other regulators.

Even after all that, they deducted hidden charges of admin fee that were never clearly explained at the time of rental. If you're considering renting from them, be cautious—document everything, clarify all charges upfront, and be prepared for potential delays in getting your deposit back.

Would not recommend unless you're okay with chasing them for your money.

This car rental company goes through different names online and when you clicked on a whatsapp link, it will show Moosa but they go through different names online like babalmadeena and then when their receipt is under a different name as well. While I would surmise they have a license, i do wonder why they have to go through different names.

My experience with them was very distressing. Like most of the reviews, they cut your deposit, they would not be helpful to tell all details so that in the end, they could have reason to charge you more.

I rented a car where I was given a good amount for delivery but then I was charged for 280 for a pick up which I understand was in the contract. I regret that I have not asked about pick up in the first place because I assumed the sales/customer service already know that I would ask it upon return. Farooq the person who I spoke with did not even bother, he kept referring me to manager who was not even helpful. Then calling Accounts, they could not even pick up phone in the premise that they cannot be contacted on phone but only on whatsapp.

Very distressing is this experience that I do not think I wanted to contract with them again, especially that their ad also says NO DEPOSIT to lure one to click but in the end, they will ask for deposit.

I hope people can be cautious about dealing with this company which goes by different names as Babalmadeena, superior rent a car, etc. Not trustworthy, sorry to say. :(

They cut from the deposit, and had the worst car bad in driving with no sweepers, with worst customer service where you may call them all day without getting a replay, it was bad experience from all sides.

They are liers. I have been to contact them for more than 6 months to get my 1000 dirham. Everytime they said send your account details. Finally, they did not answer me.

I rented a car for a week and two extra days. I returned the car on 1st January, its now 1st February and no sign of my deposit and yes they will ghost you.

They do all business on Whatsapp, no office listed, and when you try to recover your deposit you will suffer.

Can all of us who deal with them report them to Police please.

Pls return my advance amount. It's been more than 02 moths now

They never refund the deposit, even after 4 months, sending all the proof of the contract/payment. Scam company.
