Scaffolding issues
REST installed solar panels for us a month ago. Our initial experience was very good. Martin, the rep, was helpful and informative. The office staff were accommodating in arranging a suitable day for the installation, and the installers were quick and efficient.
Since the installation, we have had problems in getting REST to arrange the dismantling of the scaffolding, which has now been up for over a month. I have messaged them to express my frustration. I have received no apology or explanation. I sense that now the installation is complete, they have no care for me as a customer.
Despite my positive good impressions, I would not recommend REST as a reliable or caring company.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely glad to hear that your initial experience with Martin, our office team, and our installers was so positive, but we are incredibly sorry that the delay with the scaffolding has overshadowed that good work.
We completely understand your frustration. Having scaffolding up for a month after the job is finished is far from ideal, and we apologize sincerely for the lack of communication and the feeling that we stopped caring once the installation was complete. That is absolutely not the case.
To provide some context, we partner with an independent, third-party scaffolding company to handle this part of the process. While they are a separate business and we don't have direct control over their crew schedules, we know that to you, it’s all part of the same service. Please be assured that we are not ignoring this; our team has been chasing them daily for a definitive removal date.
We are treating this with the urgency it deserves to get your property back to normal. We will reach out to you directly as soon as we have a confirmed slot from the scaffolders.

From consultancy to Installation was very smooth process without any disruption.
Ash the consultant visited my house and explained the whole process of going solar and the benefits of having Solar energy and how it can reduce the electricity bills from the national grid.
He explained with clarity the best option for my house and the number of solar panels required and the battery to go with it.
We had a loft conversion done to our house. He explained to me that in addition to installing the panels on the slop roof we can also have panels on the Loft roof which is flat, I was very happy with his suggestions. This is what made me decide to go solar with his company REST.
I was very happy with the whole process from consultation to installation. The whole process was stress free.
We are now having free electricity generated from the solar panels and there are lots of excess which are being exported to the National Grid.
The engineers who fitted the solar panels and the battery were polite helpful and very professional and knowledgeable in their field.
Unfortunately, I missed the last stage of the work but I instructed the engineers to explain to my wife as I had to go for emergency meeting. The Apps link and instructions were emailed to me, I installed it and was very easy to do so.
Ash was very helpful and responded to my phone calls when I was not sure of anything.
Well done Ash you are good person honest and trustworthy. Keep it up.

It's all about the people that need the information being there to receive it, regardless of who those people are.
REST is the BEST!
Contacted a few solar places and REST were the only company to pop over in person, to check what was viable with our roofs. The others just sent a computer generated rough quote
Ben Mills was a great salesman! … and very informative. The team who turned up for the install, were really friendly & worked non stop. Amazingly, they completed the job in one day. Highly recommended

From consultation to fitting
From consultation to fitting, it has been a relatively hands off, stress free process. I had Ash talk me through the pros and cons of solar, it fitted with what I was hoping to achieve which is being off grid. The engineers who fitted the set up were a cracking bunch of lads, very knowledgable, the instillation was quick and non disruptive. I have had great after care with Ash and the team helping me to understand the app. All I will say is if you’re thinking about going solar then at the very least, have a conversation with them.

Sales Rep Malik is knowledgeable with a sustainability& technical as well as sales background. He was so helpful & went beyond expectations in dealing with customer support to ensure that all my questions were answered in detail. Prices are competitive & the whole process was seamless & highly efficient. The installation was brilliantly done & explained in detail. Installation Staff, Conner & Alex are highly trained & full of initiative in overcoming minor problems. The wiring was neat & mostly hidden from view. They even ran the cables underneath my pavioured back yard & replaced every bit properly & cleanly. Well done REST team!

Took us through the full fit process.
The lads took the utmost care and attention when working fitting the kit. very clean and tidy. Always chcking we were happy with all elements of the job. You don,t see that very much these days. They left happy and we were very happy. Now looking forward to seeing the savings on our electicity bills. REST UK were very informative, helpful, prompt and efficient. Aaron explained things very clearly which helped me choose what to do, and answered all questions comprehensively. The team did all the background work very efficiently and thoroughly; and their customer service and liaison were very helpful and responsive (Michael, Asfan and Tom).

Excellent experience from consultation to install
I recently had my solar panels installed by REST, and I wanted to share my experience following the full journey from start to finish.
The process began with a home visit from Ashley, who is extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything in simple, easy-to-understand terms without using industry jargon. I felt fully informed and comfortable with the system being recommended.
Following the initial consultation, I did have a couple of questions, and Ashley responded very promptly - the level of customer service was excellent and really reassuring.
Importantly, everything he said would happen has happened exactly as promised.
From there, the installation process was very well organised. The quote included everything - from scaffolding right through to the final install - so there were no hidden costs or surprises along the way, which I really appreciated.
On installation day, the engineers were excellent. They were professional, friendly, and happy to answer all of my questions. They worked efficiently and made sure everything was done properly, leaving no mess behind once the job was complete.
The final finish is outstanding - very neat and tidy, which matters a lot to me! You can really tell care has been taken with the workmanship.
Since the installation, I’ve been monitoring my usage over the last few days. Even though we haven’t had the sunniest weather, the system has already delivered around 97% self-sufficiency, which is fantastic to see.
Overall, the whole experience has been smooth, professional, and exactly as described from the beginning. I would highly recommend REST to anyone considering solar.
