We have used Royvon for our very anxious dog and they have been incredibly accommodating and patient with him.
The team is always available and attentive. We get daily updates and feedback which is always thoughtful and helpful.

Changes for the worse.
We’ve always used fur indoor/royvon for boarding but the recent changes have put us off.
Massive price increases and staff levels have decreased. Everyone there looks shattered and stressed.
Lately it’s become impossible to book a space for day care, I assume because of a lack of staff as the photos on social media do not show a high volume of dogs.
Will be looking elsewhere for care for our dogs.

Thank you for your previous custom. While we too loved Fur Indoors and therefore wanted to add the site to the Royvon family, it was unfortunately loss-making. No business can exist at a loss so we had to make some hard changes to ensure the much-loved facilities could stay open and looking after dogs. This has meant necessary price rises. At the moment we are mid-negotiations with Bridgend local authority around dog-to-staff ratios and managing them as best we can in the meantime.
Avoid if you love your dog.
Since the takeover from fur indoors the place in general has gone down hill massively.
Along with all the outrageous price hikes and claims of ‘the place doesn’t make any money waaa’ (enough for the owner to go to Las Vegas on a ‘business trip’ though!) they’ve now reduced the amount of dogs who can go to their day care facility from 30 to 12.( great money making strategy there!!) This means people who need to use the day care are no longer able to book, but also this means the poor dogs who are locked in the kennels are also not going to day care.
Along with this, Staff say their hours are being reduced, often leaving one person alone to care for all the dogs. I recently overheard a member of staff say that the dogs in the boarding kennels aren’t even let out for the toilet before 10am as there’s not enough staff.
Perhaps the owners should stop buying blue paint and silly signs for the building and focus on the dogs they claim to care about.
This place should be avoided if you love your dog.

This review is disappointing to receive as it does not reflect the hard work and dedication put in by the whole team at Royvon Playhouse. A large part of your review appears to be an objection to making Royvon Playhouse a successful business and part of our wider brand. While we too loved Fur Indoors and therefore wanted to add the site to the Royvon family, it was unfortunately loss-making. No business can exist at a loss so we had to make some hard changes to ensure the much-loved facilities could stay open and looking after dogs.
At the moment we are mid-negotiations with Bridgend local authority around dog-to-staff ratios and managing them as best we can in the meantime. Regardless, dog walking starts at 6am and continues throughout they day until 10pm so your source of information is incorrect.
There will be no excuses made for the trip to the fantastic Dog Boarding and Daycare Expo in Las Vegas which has been the source of many of our innovations over the last 20 years, including the playhouse concept. Followers of Royvon will see the result of this year’s inspiring talks over the coming months as we introduce Royvon Play Days and Royvon Day School.
Cannot recomend Royvon enough!
Travelling all the way across the Atlantic while leaving your dog behind is daunting, but needn't be if she is staying at Royvon. The only downside is that she will not be so impressed to go back home when you pick her up at the end: she had so much fun! Every day we received photos of Lola playing with other dogs, or with the fabulous care team during enrichment sessions. We took the option of having her do refresher sessions with Charlie, her trainer, and Charlie posted videos of every training sessions, explaining what she was doing and how we could keep up the training. Charlie also went through the physio exercises that Lola needs to do, as she has hip dysplasia. Lola got all her medication and supplements as punctually as if she was at home, and ate all her food; if she came back a little bit skinnier it is because she got more exercise and stimulation than she gets with us. She seems very relaxed and well behaved. They even washed her tug toy at the end! We cannot recommend Royvon enough,

Great level of care
Our dog has been attending this daycare centre in Bridgend weekly now for over a year and also stayed as a boarder overnight a few times. The level of care is very high, the staff are all very kind and polite people and the centre seems well run on social media- it's a huge comfort to see daily pictures posted of your dog at daycare/boarding. My dog is always ridiculously excited to go in with the staff which I feel speaks for itself.
I was a little wary when the centre changed hands from Fur Indoors to Royvon and I saw the prices go up (Full day of daycare went up by about £5 and boarding more so) however I understand that this was likely a necessary change for the business and have also viewed that in all the most important ways - level of service and care of the dogs - nothing has changed and Royvon seem like a great company to trust with your pet.
I would definitely recommend to friends in the future.

Excellent 🤩our dogs are very nervous and hadn’t stayed at any kennels before but had a fabulous experience at Royvon, videos and photos sent every day with a report on how they were that day. Highly recommended ⭐️🐶🐶🐶

A great resource
We love Royvon playhouse simply because Alvin our dog gets so excited everytime we pull into the car park. We are reassured that he is very well looked after by an experienced team.

Great place, bad pricing
Great place and staff are amazing, dog always enjoys but the prices are becoming extortionate since Royvon took over.
Have gone from paying £35 a night when it was Fur Indoors (Bridgend), to £62 for a one night stay now it's Royvon Bridgend. Starts at £50 then £5 add-on for "high peak surcharge" (summer months) and another £7 for "late pick up fee", although there is no discount for late drop off. I still recommend the place to friends but advise them all they need deep pockets now it's part of a corporate chain.

We had to make some tough decisions when we took on Fur Indoors as it was running at a loss and was not sustainable as a business. We didn't want to compromise on care or quality of the fun dogs have with us so we have had to make significant changes to the pricing. We are definitely not a corporate chain, we are a family-run business, started in Merthyr in 1959 and still run by the same family. I feel confident that my dogs are safe…..
I feel confident that my dogs are safe and well cared for at Royvon. The staff are very helpful and friendly and my dogs love them. There’s a great range of activities for them to take part in so their differing needs are well met. I enjoy receiving regular updates about their stay. The latest stay was 12 days and they are happy and healthy on their return home.

Luca's experience at Royvon
We wanted to trail run a stay for Luca as we wanted to go on holiday and he's never been away from us. Luca initially stayed overnight, then 2 nights and eventually 10 days. We could tell he thoroughly enjoyed his stay and we were well updated daily on his progress with pictures, videos and reports. This gave us piece of mind and kept us happy, knowing he was well looked after and cared for while we were away. We can't thank the staff enough for taking care of our baby boy - who we know can be a bit of a handful. Thanks to everyone at Royvon!

No refund poor communication
We cancelled our boarding with you. After multiple attempts at getting my large refund back I have still heard nothing. Your Bridgend branch is so hard to get in contact with. I have emailed you used your online account contact form I have used what's app. We have even used the old phone method with no answer. Your customer service really does need to be looked at. I am very disappointed by your silence.
