Resolution Sorted Finally..
I had problems not long after purchasing my vehicle back in Sep 2025 and issues right up until April 2026. This would be 5 stars if my experiences and service provided were as good from the start and would be 5 stars if L.B & Sarah managed my issue from the start. L.Briggs looked over my account from April 2026. Sarah in Aftersales also stepped in with L.B who managed to get a quick a speedy resolution for me and everything sorted. Big thank you to L.B and Sarah for sorting.

We reserved a car a few days before and arrived a lot earlier than expected to meet Bailey the guy that arranges the test drives. The showroom was super busy and we understood we had arrived early but Bailey brought our appt forward with zero fuss. We took it for a test drive and we loved it. We were passed on to a closing sales guy (apologies I’ve forgotten his name) who was very thorough, with absolutely no sales pressure whatsoever which made a refreshing change. He then went through the warranty side of things very comprehensively. We then happily completed the sale and drove away. Loving the car so far and would not hesitate to recommend Saxtons to friends. A thoroughly decent company to deal with.

Professional outfit. Very helpful sales associates as I was looking at the car from over 100 miles away. The intention was to be sure of everything, drive down, test drive it and assuming no issues, purchase and drive it back the same day. All went perfectly.

I'd recommend Saxtons because they were efficient and polite throughout. They explained all the options and were not pushy when it came to extras.
From start to finish really poor…
From start to finish a really poor experience - but I still bought the car!
Booked a test drive, travelled 3 hours only to be told booking not on system and car not on site - booking had been confirmed by text and email. Half hour later got to drive it. Salesman knew nothing about the car and unable to answer basic questions. Decided to buy anyway. Figures wrong on order form. On collection day car not ready on time. Fuel warning light on despite being promised half a tank of fuel. No demo or instructions given. Just handed keys and waived goodbye. Customer service and communication were poor at all times. Discovered cruise control not working on way home. May be returning and testing the validity of their stated three month warranty.
***Update*** - a poor experience has become a truly appalling experience. Reported the fault and was offered a date in mid May for them to look at it - suspiciously close to the expiry of the 30 day period for me to reject the car under s22 of the consumer rights act. After threatening to reject they eventually agreed to look at the car on 20 April. I was greeted by a member of staff - he could not have been more unhelpful and rude if he had tried! His manager took over. He was an improvement from what was a very low bar, but his actions have currently fallen far short of his words. The first fault was fixed - a second fault has yet to be addressed. I was offered a loan car with a £3,000 excess if someone else damaged it or stole it! Unsurprisingly I did not accept it.
I am currently waiting for a response to my latest email to see if the manager now does what he said he would do. My solicitor has been instructed and is on standby - I strongly suspect legal proceedings will prove necessary. If so, I will update this review and provide a link to the court documents so people can read the full details.

Good service (but a little slow to start with)
The sales process from initial enquiry was very smooth and discussions held about the car and the purchase were handled professionally. Only reason this was not 5* was that we were kept waiting for 1:45mins because the MOT and Valeting team had not organised themselves to have the car ready for our arrival. Matt Wheat, our sales consultant was very good keeping us informed but was let down by the other teams not knowing who was doing what. Apart from that - all good and I would buy from here again.

Ismail! The man, the myth… THE LEGEND
I had a great experience dealing with Ismail at Saxtons. He is a very clear and concise communicator, which made the whole process straightforward and stress-free. His knowledge and ability really stood out, and he handled everything professionally from start to finish.
What impressed me most was his after-sales support – he didn’t just disappear after the deal was done. He remained helpful, responsive, and ensured everything was as it should be.
Overall, a very capable salesperson and a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely recommend asking for Ismail if you’re considering buying from Saxtons.
