This company emailed me on a Sunday…

This company emailed me on a Sunday morning at 8 AM stating that I only had 24 hours to pay my security deposit at my apartment complex. I was frantic because I was truly abiding by the lease agreement. They did it on a Sunday morning, knowing that I would have no ability to contact Anyone to find out the truth or falsehood of the claim. Their practices are unethical, but I believe they are also illegal. Isn’t it still against the law in this country to solicit at certain hours on certain days? Surely companies cannot solicit at 8 AM on a Sunday morning!

Shady business

An actual working phone # would be so helpful and professional. I purchased a new rental property and two separate tenants at this property had a policy with Rhino. I have made multiple attempts to get our information updated from the old LLC to our LLC without any success. I would not offer this to any of my other tenants as an option. Their customer service through email is useless. This is a shady business. I do not recommend.

They offered to pay the deposit using their service. They quickly withdrew $107. Well, when the apartment management stopped communicating, I tried to return the deposit and it turned out to be impossible. There are no phones or chat, there are only some hints that lead to nowhere, definitely one star, a beautiful fraudulent scheme.

Buyer Beware!!

Buyer Beware!!! The renter is NOT the customer - the apartment complex is the customer and RHINO will only serve the best interest of the management company. I lived in a terrible apartment. Trying to get maintenance to do anything was an exercise in frustration. However, I always paid my rent in full and on time. When I moved out I left the apartment clean for the most part. However, the apartment manager never did a move out inspect (or move-in either, for that matter). After I was already out of the apartment for over a month I was informed by RHINO that the complex was charging me for a broken window. I knew nothing about a broken window. For all I know maintenance accidentally broke it after I was gone or maybe the lawn crew hit a rock with the mower and accidentally broke it. I told RHINO I had no knowledge of a broken window. Their response was to tell me to prove by providing photos... of what??? The window I didn't break...??? How do you prove you DIDN'T do something? I used to work for a legal aid program and seriously doubt their accusation would hold water in court, especially when they didn't bother to do a move out inspection with me. Nevertheless, it was $120 dollars so rather than ruin my rental history by refusing to pay it - which is what RHINO said would happen when they turned it over to collections - I went ahead and made a couple of payments toward the balance and then wanted to pay it off the rest of the way. However, when I attempted to access my account to make the final payment, there was no way to do so and no number to contact them to make a payment by phone either. So, in nutshell, not only did they charge me for damage I didn't do, then they made it harder for me to pay it off. I am still waiting for them to respond to my email requesting a link to pay the full balance. This is a terrible company! I will never rent a place that I have to go throught them again.

If 0 stars was an option I would have gone with that. Be careful with automatic renewals. They will automatically increase your policy without telling you for 5 times what it was previously. They will state issues such as "current market trends, credit, etc...". Shady company just trying to make a buck off of their consumers.

Bravo Rhino Leap!

We had the absolute pleasure of seeing " Much Ado About Nothing"outdoors at the beautiful Linbrook Heritage Estate in Trinity. The setting was perfect as was the play. The acting was superb and enjoyed by all. The Olsteens have done an excellent job of giving Asheboro high caliber entertainment.
The Table restaurant deserves praise as well as the "box lunch"" was delicious as was the cake.

I have been trying to contact this…

I have been trying to contact this company. I was charged for a premium to an address I do not live at. The portal says I do not have any active, cancelled or previous policies. It's listed at closed but they still have my 4116.00$.

Because no one has responded I am forced to file a dispute with my credit union.

They are very rude and do not help

They are very rude and do not help. You cannot get a live person and I have been awaiting a damn refund for two months on a place I never lived. I filed a dispute the dispute was closed they issue me a refund but say I cannot process it due to my bank. My bank says it them and they will not reissue my refund NEVER USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE AWFUL

Did I fall for a scam?

9 months after leaving my apartment that I used rhino to offset my security deposit, I am still getting charged. Neither I ( I have chatted with them twice because you can’t call or email) nor my property manager are able to reach them and get it to stop. I had no charges to them and left my apartment spotless. My manager had no problem with me and my care of the apartment. I left on good terms. My manager was shocked I was still getting charged and was even more shocked I actually got someone from the company to actually communicate with me because he said they are impossible to reach. I try to give people and businesses the benefit of a doubt about their motivation and intentions, but after this long and multiple contacts I am beginning to think this is at best incompetence and at worse an intentional design to get as much money as possible from people. I would never use them again. If they don’t respond and refund me for 9 months of charges, I will be seeking legal remedies. I have never done that before, but this rises to a level that probably calls for that action. Ridiculous.

LMAO This company is one of the largest scams going. You get absolutely nothing in return for your monthly payment. When you move out of a rental, Rhino just forwards the amount the landlord wants to you directly. The thousands you paid in monthly premiums do not go towards the amount they forward onto you, at all. Scam! Run from this company.

terrible company for property managers

terrible company for property managers. Terrible service. No answers from their reps. They will ask you to provide supporting documents or screenshots for the issue you are inquiring about. Then they will go silent, and when you follow up they will tell you again to send a screenshot so they know what you are referring to and again go silent. Ive been stuck in this loop for weeks with them and they have then responded saying i "refused" to give them the information. Then I will forward the clear screenshots Ive provided and then again silence until you follow up and then again they have no idea what you are referring to. GASLIGHTING. The Guarantors is amazing, no one should have to put up with this service.

No help

RHINO’s claim is they’ll be a lease guarantor. Not true. I was denied at my apt. management company after filling out an app. I was then told by management to go through RHINO to get help. I filled out the questionnaire & was told NO! I used RHINO because my son won’t be a co-signer on my lease but he’ll still make sure he’s helping to pay rent. What a fake RHINO is!

I moved out of my apartment a year ago and just noticed I was being g charged 100 for rhino insurnace on a apartment I no longer lived at I never signed a lease agreement. Most likely will be going toa. Lawyer as they do not respond to email or calls

I moved out of the apartment and ended up being charged for another full year of the insurance even though I canceled it! You're better off paying the security deposit to the rental company than going with this bunch of crooks.

Good Luck getting anyone to help you. I emailed them over five times with no answer. We have to pay again every year, and this year, it's $600 more than the past two years with no explanation. This is ridiculous.
