Rob is very helpful and patient in explaining how the recovering process works and always keep me updated. The 2TB is >90% recovered and the 3TB is 100% recovered. Good job!

We immediately sent all three to Secure Data and Chris walked us patiently through every step of the painful process. Unfortunately, the data was gone forever due to corruption but between Chris and Jacob, their skilled technician, they made the process understandable, quick and as easy as possible. Plus, Secure Data's policy of NC for No Data makes this place the ONLY place for data recovery.

Chris McMacken was my agent in recovering my WD hard drive data. I didn't think it was possible after having many other companies and even IT friends look at my hard drive. They said all was lost. I still clung to hope that there would be someone out there with the technology and tools to fix it. I found SDR through a google search, read the reviews, called and got a call back asap. I was always updated phone calls and emails on what was going on with my hard drive. Chris was very honest from the get go what may or may not happen and the expenses that would incur. Rob Anderson, the customer care representative I've been working with, has been very patient and highly professional. I work as an educator in Texas, and in the last week of school my hard drive failed. My Sick-to-Stomach is Gone!

Every day for six months I was physically ill to my stomach. My external hard drive containing 10 years' of family photos failed and I did not have them stored elsewhere. (Yes, just many others, I had been planning to upload them to the cloud or copy to another drive, but who has time?) I researched companies online, after I decided the company Apple referred me to was out of my reach financially.

I looked for a reliable and affordable company with personable staff. After reading a few authentic reviews about a helpful guy named Chris with Secure Data Recovery, I reached out. Chris answered all my questions, made be feel comfortable about turning over my broken, yet hopefully retrievable hard drive. I was not even aware they had a drop office in my city.

Over the period of a week to 10 days Chris and I interacted by phone 2 times, and by email at least twice. At each step of the process. I felt confident because 1) he answered his phone, 2) he answered all my questions, 3) if he couldn't help me, he immediately had someone else assist me.

Secure Data gave me the kind of service I expect and I was elated to receive all my files returned, in folders, and in perfect order and full resolution. No one likes to pay to have their files retrieved, but when you consider the annual cost for a online cloud for 10 years, I consider I'm simply paying for that.

Secure Data is a large company with many offices, but Chris made me feel I was working just with him and that my problem was important. Thank you for the excellent service. Keep it up!

Fantastic job !! I was sceptical that any data could be recovered after talking to Best Buy. Chris McMacken and Secure Data Recovery were not only able to retrieve all of my files but had great customer service and professionalism. I would recommend this company to anyone.

A few weeks back a close friend accidentally dropped an external drive to the floor. It broke. He called me because he has no technical expertise. When I arrived not only the drive would fail to open its contents on Windows, but I thought I heard a faint clicking inside. I turned the drive off and didn't want to plug it again to avoid more damage.

I was disheartened. This drive contained very important files and there was no copy of them. So I take the drive home and make no promises. I, then, start shopping for data recovery services. I find the manufacturer of the drive offers data recovery services, but I notice they don't have very good reviews. I search some more and I find Secure Data Recovery. Solid five stars, certified by many manufacturers, own clean room, confidentiality agreements in place, highly recommended. Still a bit skeptical, I started my case on their web site. It was really easy and straightforward. I did not think more of it and I thought I would later decide what my next move would be when I got a call from these guys. It was Chris.

Chris explained the process to me, what they would do to the drive, how would they diagnose the problem and what the next steps would be. Then he gave me a label to overnight my drive the them for evaluation, free of charge. At this point I was getting comfortable by the quality of service I was getting. I was not even a customer yet and here I have Chris calling, offering an overnight label and offering all kinds of explanations.

So I eased my anxiety and sent the drive over. They got it next day and started working on it. In two business days they had good news: Data was partially recoverable and they had a quote. Before I agreed to the price I was given a chance to explore what data was recoverable and what was lost due to disk damage. My friend was lucky; it was only ~25GB out of ~500GB that was unrecoverable. In a few calls and emails we agreed to the price and the recovery work started.

About ten days later the data was recovered and a brand new drive sent my way.

I can't express enough how happy my friend was to see his data recovered. All the important information was there. His life work, no less.

So I am taking the opportunity to thank all the people involved in my project, who I did not see but certainly worked hard and well. Most importantly, I want to thank Chris for his excellent customer service and attention. The level of communication and commitment to this project really helped easing the worries I initially had. He was there on every step paying attention and communicating.

After my HDD containing 1.5+ TB worth of processed photography files failed, a quick search turned up Secure Data Recovery as a highly recommended recovery service. I was skeptical at first and assumed I would not be able to afford the services after the free diagnosis. I was pleased to be incorrect! My account representative, Chris McMacken, was highly responsive kept me apprised of the process. He even worked with me on the services I could afford.

Since I did not pay for any expedited services, the entire process for my recovery took approximately 1 month from the date my failed HDD was received, including the time to it took to approve the invoices and ship a hard drive to them for the recovered files. I did have the option to buy a hard drive as part of my recovery to expedite the process, but I already have plenty of drives and was able to ship one to transfer the recovered files.

All of my files were able to be recovered, and I am an extremely satisfied customer. Thanks Chris and Secure Data Recovery! I’m a hard customer to exceed expectations with, and Secure Data Recovery certainly did that. While data recovery is not cheap (due to the nature of the hardware and the clean environments needed), Secure Data Recovery was a great choice and will be used if needed in the future.
