This is a really bad company no morals or character absolute thieves my father passed away and he lived out of state from me his car needed to come to me so I google car transport and all kinds canie up I went with Sgt what a horrible mistake on August 28 I signed up and my car was supposed to get picked up by September 2 I felt like it wasn’t gonna happen so I’m calling several times no answer I did a chat someone assured me my car would get picked up by 3 rd day deadline in that day they called and said they had a driver and wanted $600 more than agreed I said no that was not the deal they said ok we will keep looking later that day I got emailed saying my order was cancelled and they took $199 from my card. They robbed me and they think it’s funny I work hard for my money I just lost my father and now I’m dealing with this kind of foolishness. America find another company I did and when I called this company they found a driver that day for better price call auto haul direct.

We would, however, like to clarify why the $199 cancellation fee was applied. The fee and the circumstances under which it may apply are clearly disclosed in the Cancellation Policy within the signed Customer Shipping Contract provided at booking. The agreement explains that the fee may apply when an order is canceled while the pickup window remains active and when a shipment is double-booked with another broker.
Our records indicate that the vehicle was also being worked with another broker, which can interfere with carrier negotiations and create additional challenges within the marketplace. You subsequently requested cancellation while the agreed pickup window was still active. Under the terms accepted when the order was booked, those circumstances triggered the cancellation fee.
We respect your decision to use another transportation provider. However, personal circumstances, a change in plans, or a customer’s decision not to proceed does not by itself eliminate the contractual terms that were accepted when the order was booked.
We understand that you were dealing with a difficult personal situation, and we sincerely regret that this transportation matter added to that stress. At the same time, SGT must apply the terms of the Customer Shipping Contract consistently, and the cancellation fee was assessed in accordance with those terms.
We remain committed to treating our customers fairly, communicating our terms clearly, and honoring the agreements governing our services.

It took a full week to get my vehicle picked up. Wasted time and money not having it plus the AGGRAVATION!!! I had 4 drivers having issues and in the end they asked me for more money if I want the vehicle picked up. TERRIBLE SERVICE TERRIBLE PEOPLE WORKING THERE THEY MANIPULATE YOU BY SAYING ITS A FIXED PRICE THEN UPCHARGED if they can’t find one who can take it after you’ve been waiting for so long and says “beyond their control”
Don’t hire this service transport company!!!! EXTREMRLY POOR SERVICE AND DIFFICUKT TO GET A HOLD OF ANYONE ON THE PHONE

I interrupted online request for transport of truck across country. Price quoted was average at best. They wanted additional $400 for “special” pickup. I decided to confirm stopping of processing request for a quote… they are specific about forwarding cancellation thru an email.. the turnaround was 4 minutes. I get an invoice for a fee to cancel $200…. I am filing a complaint with BBB. This organization is a SCAM

Our records indicate that you had already placed an order and signed the Customer Shipping Contract, making the agreement binding and establishing the terms governing your shipment. The $199 cancellation fee was applied in accordance with the cancellation provisions you agreed to at the time of booking. It is not a penalty or an arbitrary charge; it is a contractual fee intended to cover the administrative work, resources, and costs associated with processing and managing a shipment.
Regarding the additional $400 option, this was an offer to upgrade from the regular estimated pickup service to a guaranteed pickup option. A guaranteed pickup requires additional resources to secure transportation for a specific date rather than working within the standard estimated pickup window and therefore carries an additional cost. You were not required to accept this upgrade. Had you chosen to proceed under the regular pickup option originally selected, there would have been no requirement to pay the additional amount.
We respect every customer's decision to proceed with transportation or cancel an order. However, choosing to cancel does not eliminate the contractual terms that were accepted when the order was placed.
We respectfully disagree with the characterization of SGT Auto Transport as a scam. The cancellation fee was disclosed in the signed agreement and applied pursuant to its terms, while the additional transportation option was offered as an optional service to accommodate a more specific pickup requirement.
We remain committed to transparent pricing, clear contractual terms, and fair business practices.
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. I booked a auto transport online- then received several emails asking for my confirmation information and CC. Once I entered this I received additional emails asking to confirm the pickup again? When I tried to reach out to confrim the pickup the code that was emailed was incorrect so they told me I did not have a pickup confirmed. I booked another carrier (Less expensive and talked to an actual human). Then my CC was charged for the entire amount a week BEFORE my "pick up" When I tried to reach out, I was force to a Chat bot then eventually only allowed to speak to a person via online chat. This morning I received an email telling me I was not going to get the refund in full and had to pay a $199 cancelation fee! Very poor service- I would NOT use this comapny ever!

SGT quoted me $1550 for a transport from Connecticut to Los Angeles. Then they called saying that they had found a carrier but that it would be over $2000 … take it or leave it, would not try to find any other drivers. Classic bait and switch, an a waste of my time. Stay away from this company. My best guess is that most of their good reviews are fake.

When carrier availability or market conditions change, our team may present an updated transportation option for the customer’s consideration. The customer is always free to accept or decline the option, and no revised transportation rate is imposed without the customer’s agreement to proceed.
In your case, the updated option was presented for your consideration, and you chose not to proceed. Our team respected that decision and processed the cancellation rather than requiring you to accept an option you did not want.
We understand that the experience may not have met your expectations, but presenting a carrier option based on the market conditions at the time is not a bait-and-switch practice. We remain committed to transparent pricing, clear contractual terms, and giving customers the choice to accept or decline available transportation options.
There’s a reason why they are cheap
There’s a reason why they are cheap. False promises! I scheduled a time for my car to be picked up and was told that they couldn’t find someone to deliver my car. Waited the 3 days they give you and didn’t get a single call about my pick up. The day later was told they didn’t find anyone to deliver my car so they had to contact another company to do it for them and they CHARGED ME EXTRA ($400+). Do not trust this company. They don’t even pick up their phones.

We have had our car shipped a few times for our college student. We used two different companies. SGT Transport did a much better job than the other. From honoring the quote, hitting times of when picking up to when dropping off. Kept us in the loop the entire time. No need to purchase an air tag to track your vehicle like you would with some others.

SGT Auto Transport is Grade A
I’m very glad I chose SGT Auto Transport to ship my car cross country. At the beginning of the summer I had another company ship my car from L.A. to Atlanta. That experience left me very dissatisfied and skeptical of these transport companies. I gave SGT my business to ship my car back to L.A. and was extremely pleased with their level of service. From the communications, pickup/drop-off date reliability and price….everything was very professional. I’d recommend their services to anyone and will absolutely use them in the future if needed.

They need to include negative stars as an option. This company is a sham and a scam. I held a reservation with a signed contract for months. I agreed to pay extra to guarantee a specific pickup day. The day came; at 3 p.m., I got a text from who knows, saying they have options for me. I started getting phone calls from a random number that wasn't associated with SGT. I called the number, it answered saying "you've reached the approval department". Then it gave a line that said it was SGT. I waited on the line for 20 mins. Only after I had called 4 times previously and got put in a hold queue with a promised callback. When something answered, the something was using a voice changaer/voice disguise/voice modulator. I asked it when my car was scheduled for pickup. It put me on hold, then came back and said the car could be picked up for $2,100. This was not the price that was agreed on in the signed contract. It wanted me to approve. I said no; it said that that was my only option. SCAM? I think so. I called every number associated with SGT, only to be put on voicemail with a recording that said: "If you would like VIP service to get a dedicated team to call you and text you, please sign up for an additional $79"!!!! What the heck? So now you have to pay for communications? And everything communication directed me to their live chatbot. The chatbot had no answer and said it would connect me with a live agent, but when the agent came on, it asked for your full name, email, and contract number, and there was no window where you could enter the information. Do not use this service. I've used them two times before, and although the communication was frustrating and the day of the car pickup was laced with frustration, not knowing, and very little communication, at least the car was finally picked up on the day contracted for and for the price agreed upon. STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

When a different transportation option is presented, the customer is informed of the applicable rate and can decide whether to accept or decline it. Any revised option is not automatically imposed on the customer.
Regarding communication, our primary support channels are live chat and email, both of which are available to assist customers with shipment questions and provide the same account and order information available through our phone support. Our VIP phone service is an optional offering for customers who specifically prefer dedicated phone-based assistance and does not mean that customers must pay to receive support.
Customers who do not select the VIP option can continue to use our live chat and email channels without an additional fee. The distinction is the communication format and dedicated phone access, not a different standard of information or assistance.
We appreciate that you have used SGT previously and regret that this experience did not meet your expectations. We remain committed to providing transparent information and giving customers options throughout the transportation process.
My experience with SGT Auto Transport…
My experience with SGT Auto Transport was unnecessarily frustrating from beginning to end.
One of my biggest concerns was the misleading information surrounding the payment method. When you are trusting a company to transport your vehicles, pricing and payment expectations should be communicated clearly and accurately upfront not become a source of confusion later in the process.
The communication was equally disappointing. Responses were inconsistent and unreliable, making an already stressful process even more difficult.
I ultimately decided to cancel the transportation of both of my vehicles because I no longer felt confident moving forward with the company.
Shipping a vehicle especially when coordinating a major move requires trust, transparency, and dependable communication. Unfortunately, my experience provided none of those things.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend SGT Auto Transport to anyone who is serious about reliably transporting their vehicle. There are too many moving pieces involved in vehicle transportation to work with a company that leaves you questioning the process.
I hope the company improves its transparency regarding payments and, most importantly, how it communicates with customers.
