After our CCTV system was installed, I reported two issues together.

The first was an electrical concern where a flexible extension lead had been cut, wired into the boiler power supply and left dangling. After asking an electrician for their opinion, I raised this with Shefflock, and they paid for my electrician to correct it, which I appreciated.

The second issue was the camera audio, which produced a distinct loud background noise that seemed far worse than other CCTV systems I’d used. Shefflock’s position was that this was normal after carrying out what they described as a full sound test (shouting hello under one of the cameras), the engineer explained this systems audio settings cannot be modified and advised me to mute it. After a back and forward with the director (Chris) I was told that if I disagreed I’d need to pursue the matter legally. I was also told that if another company interfered with the system, my warranty would be void.

I then contacted the system manufacturer directly, who explained the issue is likely caused by the camera wiring type, and the wiring Shefflock has used it is not recommend. I passed this new information back to Shefflock, but a week later I’ve still had no response, although I am now receiving their marketing emails.

Iv recently had a problem with the WiFi connection to my Shefflock house alarm system. My calls were promptly returned by an engineer called Finn who responded by phoning me. Although it was out of regular working hours he was still very patient and extremely helpful trying to rectify my problem. He was calm, friendly and gave direct instructions over the phone, not rushing my attempts to find my way around my new phone. Many thanks Finn for your kind manner and resolving the problem! 🙌👍

Three door locks causing problems. On initial contact with the company an engineer arrived within a couple hours. An examination made and alternative fixes were outlined in a simple but very informative manner. New locks were ordered the same day and on there arrival were fitted on only a short while. All staff performed professionally and I would whole heartedly and highly recommend them. A very professional company.

Had security cameras fitted brilliant service friendly staff and excellent customer service, good price lad who fitted them bent over backwards to explain everything to me and set everything up, I would highly recommend this company I got them recommend to me and I cant fault them in any way

We had lost or key and new the lock had been fitted many years ago by shefflock so phoned today and although I was answered by AI my first experience ,I choose to fill out a form .It was replied right away by Chris who said Brandon would be calling at 7-30 this evening which he did .He spent quite a bit of time looking for our best option .we can’t thank him enough he is a credit to you company .All ordered on the spot so pleased. Called in on this firm in the morning and had a locksmith around the very same afternoon. Explained and fixed both front and back door + window lock.
The locksmith Brandon was thorough and conscientious in his work, a credit to his profession and a massive asset I’m guessing to the firm. Would I recommend them again, in a heartbeat 👍

Chris is very responsive and the price is clear, they will send you details quote so you know exactly what you’re paying for. I’ve had my cctv installed by them as well as having my door fixed.

I've never actually used this company. But one of thier vans parked right across my gate on a dropped kerb. There is plenty of room to park at the property he is actually working at so why block someone else's access?

Brilliant service from Anthony, on time. He fixed my uPVC double doors to the garden which had dropped and I had to remove the plate in order to shut them. I am hugely impressed by the level of service, expertise and professionalism by the SheffLOCK. They responded to my message and sent the Engineers as soon as possible. I got 3 door locks and 2 handles changed and this was following an attempt burglary. The handles and locks look great and I feel safe and secure. Thank you. Chris C

Gearbox failed on my rather elderly UPVC front door. They were able to get a fitter out extremely promptly, and he was fantastic. Due to the age of the door and non-standard parts I was expecting this to be a problem job as it were, but he actually had the necessary parts with him, and troubleshooted the problem very thoroughly, leaving everything working better than it had been before the break. Very happy indeed with the service.

We have had our front of house windows refurbished today, the work was carried out by Anthony and Joe from Shefflock who are fantastic and their work is outstanding and the windows are looking fantastic with having a makeover. Cannot wait now for the front door to be fitted. We would highly recommend Shefflock to everyone all staff are so helpful and work to such high standards. Thanks

This company charged £279 for just replacing a £30 lock in my elderly Nan’s house door. Made it worse and didn’t actually sort the issue she reported.
In response to there response, citizens advise have confirmed that you have done this to other vunrable people. Your locksmith was there less than 25 minutes and spent 10 minutes in his van. So when did the full lock mechanism get replaced? So this post is not misleading and you know that, how can a 84 year old women complain on here? Your taking advantage of this fact that’s the only reason your score is high on here.

I chose Shefflock because I needed someone to change the locks on an internal wooden door, and I’m really glad I did.

Anthony, the engineer who carried out the work, is clearly highly skilled and passionate about his craft. He not only completed the job efficiently but also took the time to give helpful advice about my front wooden door, which had warped and already needed the lock changed. I had assumed it wasn’t salvageable and had resigned myself to replacing the door entirely.

Anthony managed to give it a new lease of life, and we now have fully restored wooden doors. It’s money very well spent.

Rang at 9am morning asking for locks for a new property, Tom the locksmith was at our door at 2pm. Two new locks fitted in no more than 20 minutes. Really pleased — quick, easy and friendly.
